SPECIAL! $99 per night in May! $5 extra guest fee after the first two guests. Does not include Memorial Day weekend.
Beautiful setting, quiet area, surrounded by a small forest. Minutes to Roslyn! Snowshoe, cross country ski, fly fish, hike, the outdoors are beautiful. Semi-private, not childproof.
When the snow is falling and it clings to the trees, you will feel the serenity and beauty of this little piece of Heaven.
Memorial Day & Labor Day requires a 3 night stay to book.
The cabin and property are perfect for a relaxing, fun getaway, or as a base camp for adventuring out into the amazingly beautiful outdoors, while enjoying numerous recreational activities in the area. A few minutes from Roslyn, recreational opportunities of all types are available year round, including; snowmobiling. cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, mountain biking, boating, watercraft, fishing, including world class fly fishing in the Yakima River, are just a few fun things you can do locally. Twenty minutes to the north are beautiful mountains, rivers and lakes, including Speelyi Beach, which feels kind of like an ocean beach.
Upstairs is heated by a propane stove that creates a nice ambiance. The downstairs is nice and toasty with radiant floor heating. The kitchen is fully stocked with most everything you should need to cook, including plates/silverware, utensils, and even some spices. There are plenty of extra towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, and comforters for your stay. Looking out any window is a peaceful scene as the cabin is surrounded by a little forest, and when snow clings to the trees, it is unbelievably beautiful.
Although it is semi-private, it feels quite private, especially compared to other rentals in the neighborhood. The upstairs and downstairs both have Smart big screen TV's with Xbox Consoles that you can use to stream your Youtube, Amazon Prime, Netflix or YoutubeTV accounts (or common apps), or play video games. The downstairs has a very nice surround sound home theater system with a small DVD movie library. There is a barbecue on the deck, with an extra propane tank if needed. Both the upstairs and downstairs have dining tables that can seat 4 each, and four TV trays. Very accessible during the winter, as the roads are plowed when it snows, and the driveway will be if needed. Snow shovels will be available too. A portable dishwasher cleans all your dishes for you.
The sleeping arrangements are cozy, with the master bedroom and the downstairs being 2 separate private areas to sleep. The downstairs has a bathroom, but does not have a shower. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the living room has a queen size bed next to the propane stove. Downstairs, a queen sized Ikea fold-down couch is quite comfortable, and the two bunk beds sleep another four people. The two lower bunks are comfortable for most people, and the two upper bunks are comfortable for those smaller adults or children. I would recommend less than 150 pounds or the upper bunks.
Looking out the windows you will mostly see trees, and it is generally a very quiet neighborhood. On a clear night, the stars are very bright. There is a campfire, and firewood available, but when it starts to snow in mid-December the fire pit is not available until the snow melts.
It is a very quiet neighborhood, except during the winter there are snowmobiles that can be noisy. From the cabin, you can hike, ride, snowmobile, snowshoe, cross-country ski (when it snows), or walk around a mile to the Cle Elum River. Lake Cle Elum and Speelyi Beach are a few miles away, and can be walked too also. Speelyi Beach is like an ocean beach, and is a favorite place to enjoy the water during the summer.
Roslyn is an 8-minute Drive, and a fun and quaint town to visit with a lot of history. During the summer, the Roslyn Courtyard has various musical groups playing, and starting in mid June and ending in mid September the Roslyn Market has Fresh Produce an artsy exhibits.
The cabin is semi-private with a small forest around it, and neighbors that are usually not even home since this is their second home. The view from the cabin is very nice as you look out at the trees.
Salmon la Sac, and many hiking trails and snow-parks are up the highway around 12 miles.
