Our charming shepherd's huts sit in the old orchard of our farm in the village of Bowness on Solway, Cumbria. The site is named 'The Garrison' as it sits on the remains of the former Roman fort of Maia, a world heritage site at the end of Hadrian's Wall. Bowness itself is in an area of outstanding natural beauty sitting on the Solway Estuary which separates England from South West Scotland. We are 40 minutes from the Lake District and 20 minutes from the historic city of Carlisle.
