The house enjoys a large sitting room and kitchen diner, and private car space, perfect for Hay town centre. Friendly bookshops, pubs, cafés, shops and curling river Wye, are on your doorstep. The best place for days of food, drink, silent rest or to delve into the Wye Valley.

Gothic Victorian Gate House & Hot Tub Welshpool

This beautiful, unspoilt detached 1820s gate lodge, with exposed beams, flagstone floor and eclectic decor, lies just a short stroll from the centre of the charming market town of Welshpool, with its fine selection of shops, inns and restaurants. Situated opposite the town’s train station for the Llanfair Heritage Steam Railway. Its location affords easy access to the gateway of wales. Uneven flagstone steps to 1 double bedroom. Sofa bed in living room and single bed via steep stairs.

In a quiet location a few minutes walk from Welshpool town centre, my guest suite on the 2nd floor of my Victorian town house offers a comfortable private space for 1-3 people. There are 2 bedrooms (one with a superkingsize bed and one with a single bed) and your own shower room. The single bedroom doubles up as a sitting room with a TV and comfy chairs. Breakfast is included for you to help yourself in the dining room on the ground floor. There is secure off-street parking on my drive.

The Tiny Townhouse, Hay-on-Wye

The perfect place to stay as a couple or by yourself when visiting Hay. From the Tiny Townhouse it is only a short walk up Brook St to the centre of town passing Booths Cinema. Closer to home is The Globe, an old converted chapel turned Restaurant. The house is very cosy yet modern with an open plan ground floor with kitchen whilst the upstairs bedroom has a kingsize bed & a large walk in shower in the bathroom. At the back of the property there is access for bike storage.

This property is in a unique position; 200 yards away from Brecon town centre which has a very good selection of shops , cafes, restaurants and yet the rear of the house and garden is a few yards away from the River Usk; all rooms with stunning views of the river and mountains. A perfect location for Fly fishing breaks. A three day permit is available for 2 km of the Usk for £25 or if you prefer lake fishing, nearby reservoirs charges start from £14 per day!

Close to Shrewsbury, Ludlow and numerous National Trust properties. Colomendy retains virtually all of its original features which includes exposed oak floorboards throughout the property which are uneven in places.

Host has good knowledge of local area. I usually live in this house when not on AirB&B, therefore this is my home too. Please note if you want a hotel style house/room consider using the Elephant and Castle in Newtown.
