Settle down in front of the quirky, bike-mounted TV for a movie night at an eclectic abode steps from cozy coffee houses and bakeries. Upcycled furniture, exposed air ducts, and a patchwork timber kitchen wall create an unusual interior. Best suited for adults The apartment is fully stocked with all bed linens and pillows, for all of the sleeping surfaces. There are extra pillows, blankets and sheets in the baskets in each room, if needed. I keep all of my cleaning products in closet in the living room, and guests are welcome to use these if they need/want to. I value our guest's privacy, but will be available if needed. The apartment is in the heart of Downtown Black Mountain on Cherry Street, and just three blocks to Lake Tomahawk. This quaint historical town boasts easy access to hiking, mountain biking, golfing, shopping, breweries and sightseeing. Restaurants and shops within walking distance. Uber is available. Asheville City bus line also available. This space is located above the owner's shop, so if anything is needed by our guests, we are available.

Porter Hill Perch

The Hilltop Perch is the upper level of our guest cottage nestled on 10 mountainous acres. Beautiful mountain views often include a stunning sunset (weather permitting) here on the property. We are private and relatively secluded, yet less than 10 minutes from I- 26 and Asheville Regional Airport. The Perch is a great hub for exploring Asheville, Hendersonville, the Biltmore Estate and surrounding mountains. The space is cozy, efficient and clean. Welcome to our home!!! We are a half-mile from great skiing at Beech Mountain Resort which also has snow tubing, snowboarding, downhill and cross country skiing, and ice skating. And that's just winter activities!!! In the summer there are countless hiking trails, fishing, nearby tourist attractions and almost any activity you can think of! A fire pit has been finished and there is kindling and wood available at no cost. There is a separate freezer in the storage room that guests may use.
