Coisas para fazer em Peak Dale com as melhores avaliações

Unique activities hosted by local experts vetted for quality

  • Experiência em fazenda de alpacas
You will arrive at the farm - which has wonderful views over the Peak District Hills and Combes Reservoir. We will make sure you are refreshed and give you a short talk on the Alpacas; * how to keep you and your Alpaca safe during the walk * how to put your Alpaca at ease and gain the most from your experience. * the care and husbandry tasks that we provide for our alpacas Whilst we are talking to you, we will match you to the Alpaca which would suit you best. We will then collect "the boys" and go for a walk around our farm - this will be through wooded areas and fields and we will stop along the way to allow you time to pet the Alpacas and get to know them. PLEASE ENSURE YOU WEAR SUITABLE FOOTWEAR. We will stop during the walk for cuddles and photo opportunities. You will be able to feel some of their fleece and if you wish you can collect some alpaca poop if you wish to make some "fertiliser tea" once you return home to help your garden grow! Once the walk has finished, we will have opportunity for more photos and the opportunity to ask questions. You will leave the experience with increased knowledge about these wonderful animals and benefit from some time in their company. There are three alpacas, each visitor will have one alpaca each, if you have a group of more than 3 people, please get in touch. Other things to note Alpacas are friendly animals who have a natural curiosity. They are nervous creatures and can be startled easily so we try and minimise loud noises and quick movement, please ensure long hair is tied back. The alpacas do not like to be drowned in rain - so the experience can be weather dependent.

  • Descubra ervas selvagens nos arredores de Grindleford
“Forage your 5-a-day for free & make your own bespoke herb tea!” Put on your walking shoes & come exploring the local wild plants of the Peak District. We will learn medicinal, culinary & other uses for many of the plants we find, brought to life with history, Folk-lore & anecdotes. Be prepared for the world to look a little different when you return, since you will probably be astonished just how interesting so many of our common wild plants are! These Herb Walks are great for couples & private groups. They are relaxed & gentle, normally lasting about 3 hours, with plenty of time to stop & get to know the plants, including tasting & making tea with them where appropriate! Our meeting point is next to the much loved Grindleford Station Cafe, with regular trains from Sheffield & Manchester. Grindleford is surrounded by amazing walks, with Padley Gorge woodland river, Padley Chapel, & Bolehill Quarry’s magical oak & birch woodlands. We will be spoiled for choice which way to go & can decide together! If you would like a time or date that isn’t shown, please contact me, it can often be arranged. Our meeting point may also be flexible for private bookings. Thank you! COVID UPDATE: If you would like to make a wild herb tea, please bring your own flask of boiling water. Guests are required to keep 2 meters apart from anyone who is not “in their social bubble”.

  • Mountain bike elétrica no Peak District
Using Electric Mountain bikes that make the uphills easy and the downhills fun. We will ride local trails from Buxton depending on the weather and conditions. We have routes for everyone, from beginner to those more experienced and include some lesser known trails off the beaten path. From the meeting point we will travel to our starting point, get you set up and comfortable on the bike. Then we will hit the hills, enjoy the views, fresh air and adventure. (Please enquire with me about taking a total of 3 people out. I do have enough bikes, it just depends on the size of bike available for each person's height.) Other things to note Be aware that cycling is a physical activity and we have some quite large hills. You need to be reasonably fit but the electric motors on the bikes really help . Bring appropriate clothing for the ride, no trailing fabric.

  • Passeio do pudim e da cerveja vintage
After meeting at a local train station, easily accessible from the cities of Sheffield and Manchester, we’ll run through the gears etc. and ensure the bike is set up to suit you. We will ride at a leisurely pace and enjoy stops along the way to discover the hidden past of this beautiful area and take in the splendid scenery of the Park District National Park. If you like big views and want to enjoy the social as much as the ride then our Pudding and Ale vintage bike tour is for you. Starting and finishing at the ancient Peak District village of Bamford you’ll adventure north on the traffic-free Thornhill Trail, an easy going start. You’ll take in some gentle up and downs as you follow the quiet gravel road along the shores of Derwent Reservoir, where you’ll enjoy great views across the Dark Peak and Derwent Valley beyond. On your return we take in a pub stop at the welcoming Yorkshire Bridge Inn where you can enjoy either a traditional Yorkshire Pudding with gravy or a Bakewell Pudding, and a pint of the local ale.
