I could not recommend this place and these hosts enough! The place was warm and welcoming and I absolutely love the location. A very peaceful neighborhood with easy bay access. The hosts were amazing and responsive. The house had some maintenance problems but at no fault of theirs…just typical house problems and they handled everything extremely well and we were not inconvenienced at all! Also our dog loved the place and they were stocked will all the dog necessities which was very helpful!

Great place located walkable to the Boardwalk and the entire Beach. We loved have the grocery store a block away and walking everyday on the Boardwalk.

David’s place is fantastic, just a few steps from the beach. We had a great stay!

Our family enjoyed our weekend at Big Blue. It was special because it was my wife's birthday and there was plenty of family with us. We really liked how the 2nd and 3rd floor are duplicates of each other. It's like 2 different apartments , but we had access to both. The kids on the 2nd floor and the adults on the 3rd. Very clean open spaces. The host were responsive and proactive. We hope to make the Willoughby Spit area a regular vacation spot, very lovely.

Our family Thanksgiving was great! What a beautiful home with a breathtaking view of the water!! Just waking up each day with that beautiful sunrise over the water was wonderful to see. What a hidden gem! Everything you possibly have needed was provided in the home. The fireplace was very nice especially on those cold evenings! We can't wait to return! This place was perfect for the kids and parents and grandparents. We enjoyed our stay here walking distance to the beach was perfection. It was so peaceful, clean and spacious. We enjoyed the downstairs yard & patio area. We didn’t get to use the bbq grill but next time we stay here we will. Beautiful home. Thank you

My family of four had a great stay. The house is perfect for young kids, with plenty of space for everyone but easy to keep an eye on young ones. No stairs or extra stuff around to keep them away from. The fenced in backyard was great to have. The house is as described, stocked with essentials, and very clean. Douglas was a helpful host and even delivered a corn hole set after we asked about it from the listing photos. In my opinion, the neighborhood isn’t an attraction itself but the location is convenient to get to places across the area.

We really enjoyed staying at the golden hour! The hosts were very responsive and helpful! They had sound machines in every bedroom which if you have kids is a big deal. The toys and kids activities there were a big hit! The pools are pristine and the whole outdoor area is very nice! Very short walk to beach which was also convenient! They literally thought of everything, if you forgot something chances are they had it! Definitely recommend staying here if you have children and want a nice low key place to stay!

The house design and decor was even better in person! The outdoor space is fantastic, very stylish and functional and we spent a lot of time at the pool. TVs in every location allowed us to cohabitate and enjoy music or shows of our liking. The neighborhood felt very safe and an easy walk to the beach and restaurants near 5th street. As a mom with two teenage girls sharing the one bathroom was a bit cramped but we made it work. I would've liked a nightstand lamp or bench to plop stuff on, but the furnishings were flexible and I was easily able to create a makeshift office in the LR and as a bonus, take calls by the pool. Overall, a charming place and very enjoyable stay for a mini beach week with teenagers. Thank you, Bradley!

The house was wonderful, the location was beautiful. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and listening to the birds on the back deck. So peaceful! We were away from the crowds but could easily bike or ride the golf cart into town to walk, shop, or visit the restaurants and bars. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at The Great Escape! Most of our time was spent in the private pool and fishing from the yard into the canal. The walk to the beach was quick and easy. We loved how quiet and safe the neighborhood was. The house had all the amenities we needed- it felt like a home away from home. Kim was a great host supplying us with lots of recommendations and was quick to resolve any problems. We hope to visit again in the future!

Lovely CLEAN beach home. Easy 5 min walk ( with toddler) to a beautiful beach. The short walk made it easy for us to go to the beach several times/day. Gorgeous sunrise! We really appreciated how kid/family friendly the home was! Our young kids felt safe just across the hall from us and my parents were able to have their own bedroom and bathroom on the other side of the house. Thank you Pip and Sheryl! We hope to be back in the future!

Denise and her dog Murphy were incredible host. The air bnb was comfortable and relaxing, Denise really goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable. Provides coffee, water, and light breakfast options. Really was a relaxing stay and there was nothing better then waking up and getting into the pool. 100% recommend

We really enjoyed our time at the Sandbridge Rose . We had family in for our wedding and they can't wait to come back! The house is very clean and comfortable and has tons of amenities. We loved our welcome basket and all of the little touches throughout. It was very thoughtful. The pictures and description didn't do the house justice it certainly exceeded out expectations. We are looking forward to our next visit and highly recommend this property!

Our stay at Small Dream FantaSea was nothing short of amazing. Kevin and Joan have thought of everything and our family immediately felt right at home. Packing for our trip was so easy, given how much was already at the house (towels, chairs, sand toys, games, soap, detergent, toilet paper, etc.). Our girls loved rides of the golf cart and we were at the beach or at the shops/restaurants in no time. We love how close we were to Central Park and made many visits to play cornhole or go to the playground. This was our family’s first trip to Cape Charles and it certainly won’t be the last. We are so grateful to Kevin and Joan for all they do to make it a great vacation!

The walk to the beach was so quick and easy. We traveled with two kids 5 and 8 and the walk back and forth had zero complaints :). Kids loved the hot tub and the super cool shower on the first floor. The decor of the home was beautiful. The beach had a magical low tide for kids to play in and the locals were supper friendly. The house is right up on the highway so at night it’s pretty noisy. We just cranked up our white noise machines and on the second night no one noticed. Thank you for opening up your home and letting us create some more great memories.

The kitchen had everything you would want. My grandkids loved the video games. The closets were so large my grandkids called one of them their secret fort. We all had a wonderful time! This was our first Airbnb experience. We will definitely try again.

I’ve been at many Airbnbs all over the world, and Heidi’s Airbnb is the best we’ve stayed at. It wasn’t just the beautiful view… it was all of the thoughtful touches throughout the home that made it feel more like home. It was very well stocked with quality items. Lots of towels and kitchen items to comfortably live for a few weeks or more. We stayed 24 nights and we were sad to leave. Heidi was always available to resolve any issues that came up. We were there for a stressful competition, and it was a perfect place to recharge. I hope I have the chance to come back. Also breakfast next door and Mexican across the street are so convenient!! I wanted to move there! Thank you Heidi for everything!

Had a great stay here over the weekend. The home is super cute, very open and fit all four of us easily. Super clean and a very easy stay. Host was fabulous and gave us everything we needed ahead of time to have a seamless experience. Definitely recommend!

Yun was very responsive and very accommodating. The house was everything we needed for our family trip! Great location, walking distance to everything you need at Virginia Beach. I would love to come stay again whenever we come down to visit again. AND pet friendly with is a BIG PLUS for me when it comes to road trips like this one!

Brandon was an awesome host. The location is amazing. Really was great to walk to any nice restaurant, but you weren't located on the main street. Better than I could have imagined.

We had the best time! The home was even better than described. We loved having the beach so close, with everything we needed (chairs, toys, kayaks, etc). The house was so comfortable and we enjoyed making several large meals in the stocked kitchen. So private and peaceful. We’ll definitely be back!
