The house was spotless with plenty of room downstairs for us. The main bedroom was large and lovely with an ensuite shower/ toilet. The other 2 bedrooms were smaller but perfect for our needs. All beds were very comfy. The kitchen/diner was VERY well stocked with everything thing we could have needed. Lovely welcome basket with fresh bread and milk with some goodies too and a fresh bag of coffee. Lots of little thoughtful extras, like books, games, doggy items, beach towels and a fab record player! We loved sitting in the garden in the morning and evening. Hardly noticed there were neighbours as it was very peaceful despite being a residential area. We loved our stay and if back in the area would definitely stay again. The house is spacious and the garden is lovely. We stayed with two toddlers and they loved being able to play safely in the garden while we cooked in the kitchen. Rosaline was welcoming and quick to communicate. Thank you for letting us stay x

It was my 2nd time visiting Seaham and my 1st time staying at Steph's place. Such a lovely apartment, beautiful light, very spacious, peaceful, and clean. I stayed in the back bedroom, the bed was very comfy. The welcome basket was a sweet & generous touch. I appreciated the tea bags & the milk. I had tea everyday. I also appreciated the bottled water, as well. The store ASDA is a 12 minute walk where you can find many items, from food, health & beauty to clothing. Also, a couple doors down from the ASDA store is Byron Place, there are stores & a couple sandwich shops inside. I look forward to visiting Seaham in the future & I hope I can stay at Steph's place again. 🙂 Being very close to the sea was WONDERFUL.

we stayed in this lovely little house with our teenage son and our dog. The house is clean and cosy and lots of amenities. The beds were very comfy and had TVs in the rooms. Location was great very near the beach and a little shop to grab bits and bobs and also short walk to pubs across the road for food etc. We really liked the welcome pack which was very thoughtful. Thanks and would definitely stay here again.

What an amazing cottage, lovely home from home for us to stay in! Benjamin goes the extra mile to make sure your stay is without stress. Bread, milk and biscuits waiting for us when we arrived which was great after a long drive. I was worried my caffeine intake would go down but to my delight there was a Nespresso machine!!!! Can see the sea from the back bedroom and our dog had a great time on the beach. We will definitely book again.

Steve’s place is great, this is the second property we have tried. We love the attention to detail, everything is covered from large selection of tea and coffee to ironing board. Home from home! The house is clean, tidy and fitted to high spec. We will use these facilities every time we come to Durham. Thanks so much Steve for your hospitality!

We stayed here for a couple of nights to visit my elderly father in law, after a long drive it was a lovely place to stay, clean with everything you could need. The garden is completely dog proof which was important to us and it was great to sit out there in the sunshine. There’s a great walk just at the end of the street for Dogs, the village has a great selection of shops/ bakery/restaurants. We’ll be booking again for our next visit

Great clean, spacious family home, felt at ease, very comfortable, enjoyed our stay. Great value for money. Completed Spennymoor parkrun and visited Durham for Rugby.

We had a great stay. The apartment is beautiful, immaculately clean and so well located for Cullercoats seaside and Whitley Bay attractions. The decor is beautiful and has been done to a very high specification- it is even nicer than the photos. We would recommend Riley’s Fish Shack (or course), Jam Jar cinema in Whitley Bay attractions- a wonderful independent cinema with a lovely lounge bar, ferry from North to South Shields and the Cullercoats Coffee cafe around the corner. We had a lovely stay in Cullercoats. The views were amazing and the apartment clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Andrew replied to all queries before our holiday and during Stairs were not an issue for us but be aware that there are several flights of stairs up to the apartment but being on top floor makes the views spectacular!

Had a lovely 1 night stay with my son at Kate’s place before we travelled to Newcastle the next day for a Football match. The accommodation is excellent and Kate is a lovely host. We went to the local pub and also to the local chippy which were both very good. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend to others.

Beautiful place in a lovely quiet road. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Fantastic location beside Northumberland Park, 10 minutes walk to beach, also plenty of shops within walking distance. Host was great, got back straight away with any questions. This was our second stay here and we will definitely stay again when we’re in the area. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location for a weekend with a 16month old. Spacious bedroom, good quality cot, comfortable living room, well equipped kitchen. Short walk through a nice park with a kids playground and small boating lake, to get to the large sandy beach and the start of a coastal walk. We had no car and manged this trip from London, getting a nice coastal bus to and from Sunderland to the place and a bus back from our coastal walk.

Fabulous apartment with beautiful sea views. Fantastic communication with our very welcoming host. We arrived to lots of special touches which helped us to feel at home from the start! Very comfortable accommodation. Private parking was a bonus. Would definitely book again!

Lovely apartment in a quiet street in the heart of Whitley Bay. The apartment was equipped with everything you need for a stay - also lovely shower and bath. Excellent eateries, shops, and of course, the beach were all within easy walking distance. Our host Helen was absolutely lovely - friendly and approachable, but non interfering, and her communication was clear, friendly and informative. We will certainly book Helen's accommodation again when we visit our family in the area, and will recommend it to other family members and friends.

We had a great 3 night stay, to celebrate a late Christmas with my parents who live in Blyth. The apartment is gorgous, so well decorated and furnished. There was a lovely Christmas tree to greet us too. We arrived around 9.30 pm, found the key in the front lockbox and unloaded up the front stairs. Overall its a great place to stay, the only thing that would stop us staying again is our elderly dog (he's 15) is a bit too doddery for the stairs. The baby gate was a great feature, and meant we had no worries about him going down on his own. The internal stairs lead to the front door just over the road from an amazing park which was perfect for the dogs. Kids would love it too, I grew up in Blyth, such happy memories of Ridley Park!

Another fantastic stay at Michael and Elaine’s sea view apartment. Who needs good weather when you have that amazing view! Michael and Elaine are great hosts who provide an excellent experience for visitors. The apartment is beautifully designed reflecting Michael’s artistic and creative work. On this visit we noticed a new air fryer which is a great addition. For us it’s a great Airbnb that feels so homely. The kitchen is very well equipped and easy to cook in with all the amenities you have at home. The showroom is high quality and has great water pressure too. Locally we enjoyed the Durango lounge which provides a wonderful atmosphere in the old roller rink that my Mum can never remember and great up to date food. The Castle View Inn is another great place along the sea front. Originally (my Mum tells me) the Park Hotel, again a great place to eat and also has a yummy ice cream parlour. Can’t wait to return!
