We had a wonderful time visiting Burnsville. Philip was a great host and his place was just as described. The views were amazing and plenty of space for everyone. I would highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit the area.

Blin's place was spotless, comfortable and the view was stunning - Fall leaves were in full color while we were there. The bathrooms were spacious and clean - the water was hot with good pressure. The king bed in the master was supportive and comfortable. I heard no complaints about the bunk room beds the kids used. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, bowls and cooking utensils. All appliances worked well. It was muddy while we were there so we rolled up the light colored rugs so we didn't accidentally stain them. We had our dog with us and there was plenty of area for him to run and the streets were quiet for a walk along the road. There are steps all the way to the water which will be amazing for lake access in the summer. As it was cold while we were there and the lake was still recovering from Hurrican Helene, we did not get in the water. All in all it was a great place to stay.

Karen was helpful in sending recommendations and communication regarding the impact of Helene on the area. Always answered questions and put us at ease. The suite was beautiful and the amenities were nice and the views were great. Instructions were helpful. I would highly recommend this suite

This was my second stay at Kevin's. It was perfect for my kids and I for the week. It had all of the conveniences of home - kitchen tools, laundry, clean bathroom. It's a very safe neighborhood and Kevin is a very friendly and responsive host.

Cute condo near downtown Marion. Easily walkable to coffee shops and restaurants. The space was clean and much larger than the photos. Our family of 5 fit well.

Loved and it was close to a lot of stuff and had a late start so they let me sleep in a lil longer and I was greatfull for that and it was my first time in a tiny home opened my eyes to more and more thanks a lot for letting me experience that time in your home

We went to NC from Florida hoping to experience some cold weather & snow. We found Tami’s house and contacted her about availability. She was an amazing host- helpful and very informed about the area. The house was extremely clean and it had everything we needed for a month in the mountains. We ate out 3 times & the remainder of the time, we cooked our meals there. Appliances were clean and worked like new, linens were plentiful and nice, the washer & dryer was great , the WiFi was “screaming fast” , the tv streaming was a plus and the morning coffee on the deck was perfect. We watched deer in the backyard and she had even decorated for the holiday season. We had another couple that came up the week after Christmas, and the house never seemed crowded. They had snow a number of days and even though the temperature got down to 14 degrees, we were warm & toasty in the house. When we go back to North Carolina, we will definitely stay in Tami’s home. It was great.

If you are looking for a comfortable, peaceful and relaxing stay with breathtaking views, this place is for you. This house is very clean and the attention to detail is spectacular! The host is available at any time to answer any questions that you may have. 5 star rating from me and my family for sure !

I am so overwhelmed with gratefulness for these wonderful hosts! Not only was the price of the home right in our budget, but from even before our stay everything was so well laid out and structured to make this experience so positive. We got the instructions for check in, days before we got there (which totally satisfies my slightly type A personality) so I was able to plan our trip. We arrived at the house and everything was clean. They had a great binder that gave the house guidelines and information, but they also included helpful resources with local amenities, and even marked off the ones that were heartbreakingly closed due to Helene. These little touches made it feel like we could have been staying with local loved ones rather than a rented home. While this was not a vacation for us- we are certainly keeping the information of this beautiful home for the future! It perfectly fit our family of 5. This was also our first AirBNB experience and I’m so relieved it was a good one!

Good: Thoughtful and considerate about small details people might need when they are traveling, ex- first-aid kit, female hygiene etc. Neat and clean place. Extra spares like blankets and other stuff. The place is peaceful, close to nature. Things to consider: The other bedroom doesn’t have an isolation between bath and bedroom. It would have been good to have blackout curtains near the entrance door. And actual door or some form of partition there.

Clean and very nice. The three bedrooms was perfect for our stay. Loved the treats that were laid out!

If youre looking for peacful solitude in the North Carolina mountains look nice further. The Wandering Bear punches the ticket. It was extremely clean and well furnished with welcome snack basket that was a great touch. The view off the porch is amazing for sipping coffee or enjoying the firepit with family. It is within striking distance of the quaint town of Black Mountain (15 min drive) or Asheville (25mins) for more options. I will say that the final mile road to the property is quite rocky and I would recommend an SUV or vehicle with 4W drive just to be sure, but the road itself was safe. Some previous reviewers seemed disappointed with the smaller fridge space, but this was not an issue for us. If bringing a lot of friends or family it could be limited though. Overall I had no issues and found it an amazing spot to enjoy the mountains in. Would definitely come back!

Nice house. A little dated, but that was kind of nostalgic. Mountain views are breathtaking!!

My family and I recently stayed at Corinne’s place for Christmas as my mom lives nearby. It was a perfect Airbnb for us - absolutely beautiful house and views, plenty of space, kitchen and laundry were ideal. We did not use the sauna or the downstairs but they looked great too. Internet was fast and beds were comfy too. We hope to stay again when visiting family!

We stayed in the cabin for a death in our family March 2025 and wanted a place clean, relaxing and quiet and we got just that!! We did have a "tiny" issue but when Tamra found out she was on it, and it was corrected quickly and we even talked on the phone, and she was the sweetest person. The Cabin was clean and comfy and so relaxing, and the beds were so comfortable also. We would definitely come back to stay & recommend it to anyone!!

My husband and myself enjoyed our stay this weekend ! It was very pleasant and we enjoyed Dean’s hospitality. The place is fully equipped and I would recommend this place to anyone !

We loved our stay!!! The owners were very responsive, the home is extremely clean and the beds are so comfortable…plus the treats were a nice bonus!
