Whilst here, enjoy picnicing by the banks of the creek, walk the olive grove, interact with the animals, set up an easel and paint, relax. Soak it all in with a glass of wine as you watch the amazing sunsets from the deck. Try bushwalking Mapleton National Park and Kondalilla Falls, amble through markets, visit iconic tourist destinations a short drive away.

Mirembe Cottage: 45 acres of peace

Mirembe is a Ugandan word meaning peace and tranquillity; this perfectly describes our 45 acre property. The cottage is privately set on the edge of our forest: Sit on the verandah watching the kangaroos, search the trees for koalas; at night look to the sky to see the million stars, fireflies in the creek or into the firepit flames. Take a stroll through our private trails: Nature surrounds you. Breakfast food supplied, and a few locally made frozen dinners in the freezer- but not free.

Birdsong Villa - Figtrees on Watson

Birdsong Villa (at Figtrees on Watson) is a purpose architect designed fully self contained cottage for use by our short stay guests. It is on the same property as our very popular Betharam Villa (see Figtrees on Watson listing for photos and information about this beautiful property). The villa has been designed to be wheelchair friendly with wide door opening and minimal door sills. The villa was completed in early 2021 and had been finished and furnished to a high standard.
