A great getaway with loads to do close by for whatever mood you're in - great towns and cities like Calendar and Stirling less than half an hour away, equally beautiful countryside and multiple waterfalls, lochs and walks to choose from on the doorstep. Our toddler loved the on site swimming pool and the grown ups enjoyed the peaceful views from the hot tub too! Rosie was so friendly and accommodating.

This was our second stay at the cottage and had a lovely time. Cozy, with everything you could possibly need and having the log fire is a bonus. The location is perfect for us as it is close to family but staying on a working farm is also fun to see everything going on. Would definitely stay again.

Very kind and welcoming hosts. It’s a lovely peaceful experience to stay on their working farm. The sunset from the kitchen looking out at the horse and sheep in the field was beautiful. The stars at night are so clear too and the chickens outside in the morning was very cute my children loved seeing the animals each morning. Short 20 min drive for most shops and kids activities/farm parks but great amenities in kitchen for cooking there too.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was perfect - spacious, clean and tidy. It gave us the ideal base to explore everything Northumberland has to offer! Thank you!

We had an amazing stay at the Orchard hideaway - it is in beautiful, rural and peaceful surroundings, and is exactly like the photos. It is private, warm and very clean, the hot tub is great and well maintained, and the host has thought of everything to make it a comfortable relaxing stay. We would love to come back and 100% recommend!

Helen was an excellent host and very helpful when we were dropped off at the wrong place! We felt really welcomed in their home, and enjoyed the lovely welcome gift. The hot tub is lovely and overlooks the beautiful property. Loved our stay!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying here for 3 nights for my partners birthday and can honestly say we enjoyed every single minute. From meeting with Nick the host at check in he was friendly informative and welcoming. To the amazing scenery and amnesties with the beautiful animals. The quality of duvets, towels and bed sheets were amazing! We felt so cozy,comfortable and at home throughout our full stay. A fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Cozy living room with smart tv was a great addition. Beds were extremely comfortable and curtains were black out so a great night sleep was had. Shower was great pressure and beautiful aaran aromatics body wash shampoo ect all supplied. Spotlessly clean property throughout. We can’t fault our stay at all and cannot wait to return! We, a family of five, enjoyed wonderful four nights in the lovely House on the Hill which was exactly as described. A great plus was the tennis court, that was very well received by our children. Walking the dog was a great experience. We used the farm cottage to explore Scottish Borders, Northumberland and of course Edinburgh. We would certainly come back and highly recommend this lovely place!

We are a family of four with two young girls and felt right at home from the moment we walked in. A very lovely and comfortable cottage, well equipped and Maddie kindly left us milk in the fridge and delicious biscuits on arrival. It's a quick 40 mins to glenshee ski centre and we were lucky enough to have snow. The kids loved sledding and having a winter hike. The cottage is set in a lovely peaceful area near the river amongst blueberry and cherries trees, sadly as we came in winter they were not in bloom but you can tell how magnificent it would have been. Would recommend!

What can I say, the best Airbnb we have stayed at to date! This place is perfect, you are in the middle of fields, with lambs everywhere, your own private loch that has kayaks available to use (great fun!), a secure garden to let the dogs roam freely. The house itself is bigger than the images seem, we had plenty of space for four adults, a toddler and three dogs. They provided a cot and high chair which is a great help. There’s a huge boot room which is great to throw off your coat and walking boots, and give the dogs a towel dry after a walk. Beds were perfectly comfortable, a cosy log fire, plenty of hot water in the showers, what more could you ask for! The house felt more like a home than a rental and we are already planning our next trip. The hosts were friendly and available for any questions you may have. My daughter didn’t want to come inside, she was obsessed with the sheep and being in the garden! only issue was signal for the firestick/ phones was poor but not an issue.

Our stay at Laura's house was incredible. She provided everything we needed and more. We had our 1yr and 3yr with us and she had a toy for them, provided a high chair and bath seat along with the cot we requested. The house was so clean and beautiful, everything was perfect! Loved being surrounded by farm land, you can see Wallace Monument from the back of the house. The back patio is fenced in so our boys could play safely. We loved the hot tub! What a bonus! Laura responded to every message immediately, she had a welcome basket of food and champagne for us, she was so helpful and accommodating. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our stay at The Stables was heaven. Paul welcomed us and showed us around and had even set up the hot tub for us arriving. The house was immaculate with everything you could possibly need and beautifully decorated too. We loved the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom. The garden was beautiful and so peaceful and our two dogs loved it, it was completely secure for them which meant we could relax. The view from the garden and the location were wonderful, it was just what we needed. We didn’t want to leave and would love to come back sometime soon. Thank you for being wonderful hosts and for our cheeseboard and Prosecco it was such a thoughtful touch.

Our weekend visiting the Lookout has been one to remember for all the right reasons. We were met with a idyllic cabin in beautiful surroundings. It offers everything you may need for a getaway in terms of amenities and comfort, but it offers so much more in the way of providing memories and giving a soul healing experience. It gives a remote breakaway, with the benefits of local sightseeing opportunities. If you do happen to visit the Lookout, makesure you step outside at night to look up! You will not be sorry. We've seen night sky's in many parts of the world but the stars at the cabin are literally out of this world. Our host Georgie was a pleasure and delight to talk with. One of the best Airb&b hosts and stays we've had. We look forward to scheduling another trip to the Lookout again. Our main reason for visiting was to visit the inner farne, which is a must if your in the area. We got some amazing photos along with our experience. Bets Samantha & Mark 😊

Our stay at Jane’s wonderful property was a brilliant getaway for us. Everything was very clean when we arrived, and the check in process was very clear and stress free. Jane provided a very informative booklet with information about the property and things to do in the local area as well as a lovely welcome gift that we enjoyed on our first evening. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful getaway - we will certainly be back!

It's a beautiful cabin surrounded by nature and lots of sheeps which are welcoming you every morning! The view from the cabin is amazing. The cabin itself fits perfectly for a family, you have plenty of room. We can recommend the cabin 100% and would like to come back one day! Thanks a lot! :)

We stayed at the Stables for our Easter holidays. I was so glad I found this awesome property for our stay in Scotland. Nicola was so nice left us some Scottish short breads, jams and Easter chocolate bunny. Kids were so happy when they saw the bunny. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen and family room. Kitchen was well equipped with all table wares. It was perfect for our big group to eat and gather. The property is inside a private land. We felt safe to let our kids hang around outside and enjoy the fresh air. I enjoyed my morning walk too. Our stay was so nice and this would be our forever memories for our family. I wish we could travel to the stables again someday.

The Cottage is peaceful, relaxing and very well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and hope to return.

Mel was a very helpful and friendly host. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for a quiet and peaceful break. Particularly good for the dog with the garden being fully enclosed and free to roam.

Beccy is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het huisje was klein, maar zeer compleet ingericht en schoon. De kippen en schapen zijn een leuke toevoeging, onze kinderen vonden dat ook erg leuk. De weg er naartoe is een uitdaging, maar langzaam rijden en je komt er wel :)

Last minute decision to have a night away and Toms place was spot on! Perfect peaceful location, the annexe is gorgeous with everything we could need. The hot tub was dreamy even in the drizzle as the sun went down over the fields. Tom was a great host firing up the hot tub for us and recommending the fabulous Crown Inn for a great dinner! Thank you!

Such a privilege to stay on Ed's beautiful estate. We are country people, so being able to walk the private footpaths, including the 10 mile loop with its incredible views & sounds of moorland birds was amazing. We also loved the daily morning visits from the red squirrels. The cottage was very comfortable & well equipped & larger than expected. The location offered a perfect escape, whilst being within easy driving distance of many attractions. We were lucky to enjoy a very relaxing 5 night stay, which exceeded expectations. Thank you Ed.

We had another wonderful stay at Lindsay’s cottage. Lindsay was extremely helpful and quick to respond. We enjoyed cosying up when the weather was bad and just appreciated the peace and quiet. The girls and the dogs loved running around the secure garden and we had the added bonus of seeing some lambs on the hill. We’ll hopefully be back again soon.

Amazing home from home house with the added bonus of a hot tub and a pool table to help unwind. Plenty of kitchen equipment to cook for large numbers.
