We spent a month at Claire's place and it was so relaxing ! The house is beautiful, fully equipped and peaceful surroundings. Waking up to hummingbirds and the sound of monkey was a wonderful experience. We went there with 2 babies and a toddler the house was equipped with a high chair and a travel crib which was perfect. The pool and the house were cleaned weekly to ensure we had a clean environment. The king size beds are truly comfortable and the bunk beds are a great addition for families with young kids (even though they were a bit squeaky !). The only detail that wasn't a 10/10 was the wifi that was patchy and the smart TVs that were really slow and would close unexpectedly. Claire and Christophe were really friendly and would always answer our questions quickly. I would recommend to anyone who visits Costa Rica to book Villa Loulou without hesitation !

Amazing stay! The location is perfect—close to beaches and supermarkets. The house is spacious, ideal for large families or groups of friends. We really enjoyed the pool and the BBQ area. Everything was comfortable and well set up for a great time. Would definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay — the view and the pool were just perfect for us. It was quite hot in Samara during our visit, and we felt the insulation could have been a bit better, as the apartment got pretty warm. While the AC helped cool down the bedrooms, the living area stayed quite warm.

We had a wonderful week at Viktor’s house. Plenty of room for my family of four. My 2 adult children were able to work from there and when the internet was spotty we had access to the beach club a few minutes away. Hacienda pinilla and avallenas are wonderful areas to explore with so much just a short drive away. Thank you for a memorable vacation Victor and Arturo !

We just came back from a week-long stay in this beautiful house. The pictures shown in the listing do not do justice, it is a very large house with plenty of room for 4 adults, the views from the pool and master bedroom cannot be beat, the location is great (listening to the howler monkeys at night was an added bonus), there was always plenty of hot water, and the pool is huge and was kept in pristine condition. The only slight negative we encountered was the requirement to not place any toilet paper in the toilets but rather place it in trash bags (we were not aware of this requirement prior to arrival). Other than that one minor surprise, we would definitely recommend Payton's house to anyone who wants a fun and relaxing vacation.

Great views. The top of the world pool within the community has unbelievable views at sunset. You’ll need to drive a little ways to get to many of the beaches but there are lots of options. House was comfortable and worked great for large group.

Our stay at Heather's place was absolutely spectacular, the kids really enjoyed the pool and we all enjoyed the amazingly breathtaking views of Playa flamingo. What an absolute treasure is this casa on the hill. Every detail was taken care of by the lovely concierge, Karina, including our groceries delivered and fridge stocked, easy airport transfers arranged, rental car delivered to the house, and even hiring a private chef for special dietary needs. She organized excursions for us to snorkel on a private boat, spend the day at Diamante Adventure Eco Park, complete with an awe-inspiring hipline adventure and Wildlife Sanctuary tour, lunch included. I cannot say enough for the wonderful host in creating one of the best vacations ever. Thank you to Heather and Karina for your wonderful loving care.

The home is located in Hacienda Pinilla, a very private gated community next to the JW marriott. The grounds are beautiful, with lots of trees and foliage. The house is very elegant, with high end finishes and well designed spaces. It was perfect for our family of six. Our favorite spot was the upstairs patio with lots of comfy places to sit and an ocean view. Beds are all very comfortable. There are three lovely pools in the complex, one adjacent to the property, and a beautiful beach just a short walk away. Tamarindo the town is very busy and quite popular with tourists, so it was great to be in a more peaceful setting. You do need a car or some transport to get to markets and restaurants as Tamarindo is a 20-30 minute drive. The auto Mercado is the Costa Rica equivalent of Whole Foods, again in the town. A highlight of our stay at the home was hanging out with a family of howler monkeys by the pool.

Overall amazing house in a secure location. It is a 2 minute walk to an American style grocery store which was very helpful. The pool and house were clean. The host, in particular, was very responsive and always available. Can’t recommend it enough.

We had a great time staying at Katerina's place. The walk up the hill wasn’t an issue for us, despite some previous reviews mentioning it—it’s well worth it for the views and privacy. The plunge pool was perfect for cooling off after a hot day at the beach, and the home felt very secure throughout our stay. The property looks exactly like the photos—truly one of the nicest places I’ve stayed at in Costa Rica. The cleaners did a great job, and the showers were fantastic! I’d recommend keeping the shades closed during the day to help keep the interior cool. A few extra towels would’ve been a nice touch, but overall, we had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Antonio’s place was nothing short of amazing. Antonio was super helpful and responsive to all requests. He made our stay stress free as he provided awesome recommendations for a driver as well as a personal chef for my birthday. Cannot recommend this place enough! If you’re considering it for your stay in Costa Rica, do it. :)

We had an amazing time at casa duna, the area was secluded and safe and the house itself was beautiful and spacious, perfect for a family vacation. The hosts were very proactive, responding to all of our inquiries and helping us book excursions and offering recommendations. 10/10 would stay again 🥳

This is a great location with beautiful views of the coastline, and amazing sunrises and sunsets. Day two a family of Howler monkeys climbed by as we watched from the back yard, so cool to video. We enjoyed professional massages on the back porch provided by locals, definitely provided a zen moment in the lush tropical surroundings and it was very adorable. We had them come twice! The pool offered a refreshing break from the humidity. The hosts were very helpful in our planning process, and communicated quickly. The security guard definitely made us feel safe, and the groundskeeper kept the lush yards pristine. The location is within walking distance to great restaurants, shops, and outdoor activities, however we rented a car for convenience and flexibility. Snorkeling was fantastic! We highly recommend Playa Palmas for comfort, convenience and excellent scenery. Pura Vida!

This Airbnb is beyond gorgeous! The pictures don’t do it justice, I didn’t wanna say goodbye! The area is private and secluded but my group found it best to rent a car to get around. Jennifer was a lonely host and so proactive and able to help with all your needs and requests. Can’t wait to visit again.

My girls and I had a fantastic stay. The Airbnb exceeded our expectations, it looked even better than the photos. Steve's place was spotless, spacious and relaxing. The sunset views were breathtaking. Steve was super responsive, he helped us arrange a private chef and gave great local food/activity recommendations. We highly recommend staying here!

This house was amazing! Truly at great set up for a group of adults or families wanting their own space but also a place to hang out together. The owners were super helpful and took great care of us the entire stay! We had a few hiccups on the trip and they there extremely fast on responding and getting the issues resolved. They even bought us dinner and drinks one night for a few small inconveniences. This house by far has been the most time we spent at the actual house in during a vacation. Beautiful and relaxing.

When possible I do my best to rent properties that are only few steps away from the beach, this time I did an exception though and I don't regret it, Helen's place is in the top 3 of best airbnbs we have rented in Guanacaste, it's a nice and safe property with a covenience location and a very straight forward check-in. Playa Grande is not close enough to reach it out on foot but by car it's only about five minutes away, ah! and it is worth mentioning you can see the sea from the distance from the property's balcony!

10/10, this incredible home is paradise! I couldn't be happier with out stay. It is so private and beautiful. Stephane communicated so well and made the entire experience perfect.

Very beautiful home inside and out!!!! The rooms were spacious, even the bathrooms were big. House was equipped with the everything we needed. Amazing pool as well. Located in private and quiet area. Short drive to the downtown area. Easy check in and check out process. Esteban had great communication. Would definitely recommend and return!!

We had such an amazing time at Kaya Villas! Andre was very friendly, helpful, and had great recommendations - for restaurants, local activities and surf spots! And the villa was gorgeous - perfect location, nicely furnished, and with a perfect plunge pool for cooling off. We’ll be back!

Would definitely stay here again! The house was beautiful with a lot of space. It was a quick walk to the beach and fun to be able to use the resort pool as well.

Wij hebben hier een week verbleven met onze peuter en het was heerlijk! Het huis is heel schoon en heel goed uitgerust, aan alles is gedacht! Goed uitgeruste keuken; wasmachine en faciliteiten om schoon te maken, uitgebreid beddengoed, handdoeken en doeken voor het strand. Echt heel comfortabel en prettig, zeker met een gezin! Ik raad deze accommodatie zeker aan voor families met kleine kinderen. Het huis is ruim en smaakvol ingericht. Ook het contact met de host verliep goed en makkelijk, ze reageren heel snel en zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Iets om rekening mee te houden is dat de grotere supermarkten wat verder weg zijn (30 minuten rijden ongeveer) dus bijvoorbeeld op de dag van aankomst is het verstandig vooraf boodschappen te doen. Het huis ligt een beetje afgelegen, maar er zijn genoeg mooie stranden en leuke restaurantjes vlakbij!

Our two-night stay was absolutely magical! The house is such a happy space with plenty of natural lighting in every corner. It served as both the ideal launching pad for our adventures and a blissful sanctuary during those hot afternoon hours when a siesta became essential. The backyard was an oasis with beautiful almond trees providing shade while we lounged in the hammock. There's a lot at home to keep everyone busy - board games, toys and puzzles. But most importantly, the location was perfect. We visited 3 wonderful beaches during our stay here, all within a short drive. Several restaurants and cafes nearby too. It took us 1.5 hours to drive to Liberia airport from here, so that was another plus. We'd recommend staying here if you are visiting the area. There is something for everyone!
