The barn is exclusive use with own self check in entry. It is an ideal location for the fresh air of the South Downs National Park, country walks, pubs and coastal visits. Alternatively, drive 20 minutes either way to Brighton or Eastbourne for the arts, nightlife or restaurant scenes. This accommodation provides a warm and comfortable welcome providing peace and quiet within a village environment. We are situated near the South Downs which is accessible by bike or car, only a 3 mile drive/ride in country lanes. The opera house Glyndebourne is a short distance, as is Charleston farmhouse, the country home of the Bloomsbury set. Ideally situated for the best of East Sussex. We have a private drive for you to park and separate access to the barn, to allow privacy. There is an area of garden and terrace available for you to enjoy the views. All the accommodation is on one level and assistance to terrace from the garden for wheelchairs will be made available if required. We live in the house north of the barn and will be mostly available to help with local knowledge of trips, attractions and restaurant recommendations. Our local inn The Yew Tree is most welcoming and offers our local ale "Harveys" as well as many of the local artisan brews such as Longman. The house is a three-minute walk from the village store offering homemade foods and local produce, as well as a cafe. The beaches at Seaford and Newhaven are a 15-minute drive away. There are wonderful village pubs all within striking distance. Berwick station is only 2.5 miles away with trains going to London, Gatwick, Brighton and Eastbourne. The airport LGW London Gatwick is a 45 minute drive away, LHR London Heathrow 1hr 15 minutes approx. The public transport is limited and we would recommend you use a taxi if you do not have a car. The barn has extensive views, including the bedroom which has a wonderful view across the gardens. The barn adjoins a large green field which is grown for meadow hay. The sunsets behind the ancient saxon burial mound known as Mount Caburn. The burning sky sunsets are the best!

Great pubs, the Downs, Glyndebourne, Charleston, Lee Miller's all approx. 10 mins. Designed as a creative workspace there's no TV but good WiFi: no streetlights, lots of stars.

Our cosy shepherd’s hut sits beside a fenced field where our four, new but friendly alpacas live, so you’ll have some very charming company during your stay (possibly a few sheep!). Spend your days hiking, visiting Brighton/Eastbourne, or simply relaxing on a deck chair with a glass of Prosecco. With peaceful surroundings, birdsong, clear starry skies, and a bubbling hot tub, it’s the perfect place to slow down and unwind.

Relax by the cosy log burner, cook in the fully fitted kitchen, and wake to magical lake views from the bedroom. In spring, enjoy the woodland with bluebells and delicate flowers; summer brings long golden evenings over the lake, and autumn paints the trees in rich, vibrant colours. Step outside to gentle ripples, watch wildlife, or visit East Hoathly village with its café, shop, and pub just minutes away.

A spacious home for a romantic getaway or a weekend adventure exploring the local beaches, walks & golf clubs The Barn is equipped with a hot tub, outdoor cinema screen, Ooni pizza oven, firepit/BBQ. We have a driveway which has space for two cars directly outside. *Please note our place is NOT suitable for children.

An idyllic retreat in Barcombe Mills, close to Lewes and the Sussex coast. A warm & comfortable converted barn with stylish bedrooms, modern shower room, and kitchen diner with a big squishy sofa. Outside your door, you’ll walk into a large, private, fully-fenced garden, which you (and your dog) have exclusive use of. If you love long countryside walks by the river, or along the seafront, this is just the place. Pretty Sussex villages and country pubs abound in the area. Adults 18+ only.

The Hut in the Paddock - VERY DOG FRIENDLY!!

The Hut is in a completely private and securely fenced paddock. It has a double bed, under floor heating, television, outdoor shower, wifi. There is a kitchen, shower room and sitting room with a sofa bed, television/DVD player in the stables. There is also a smaller hut. There are two fire pits and a barbecue. Important - if you are visiting for a party, wedding etc, it is NOT permitted to leave your dog alone in the hut or sitting room while you are away from the paddock.

Beautiful barn, perfect for walkers, also great as a comfortable and spacious base for exploring the local countryside. Local cultural attractions include Glyndebourne, Drusilla's Park, South Downs Way. This spacious artist's home is located right on the South Downs Way, and it is only about an hour and a half walk to the coast at Exceat. There is a tree house for kids, a couple of swing seats for chilling out on, and the Cuckmere runs through the bottom of the garden.

Our chalet-inspired studio barn, with vaulted ceilings and oak beams, is light and airy in the summer and beautifully warm and cosy in the winter, with underfloor heating throughout. It is completely self-contained, with a separate entrance from the adjacent family house. With a sumptuous superking bed (or two twins), sofa bed, unlimited fast WiFi and HDTV, you are assured of a relaxing and welcoming stay in a family-friendly setting in the East Sussex countryside.
