Ideally located in a quiet residential street 5 minutes walk from York Minster and the hustle and bustle of the city centre with its museums, fine restaurant dining and shopping. Eight minutes walk from York train station. With an eye for the unusual and attention to detail Royal College of Art graduates David and Anita have created the perfect, dreamy get-away. The apartment has been selected by Alistair Sawday's 'Special Places to Stay' (the first in York). This spacious apartment has been lovingly restored and styled by its artist owners and features their original artworks (paintings/lights). The apartment has solid oak flooring, antique Persian rugs and a combination of period French and contemporary designer furniture which contributes to the apartment's special character. A stunning set of 18th century chateau doors divide the living and bedrooms and provide the 'wow factor' of this charming find. A welcome basket of Prosecco or red or white wine and olives as well as breakfast provisions to be found in the kitchen; Artisan bread, butter, preserves, cereals, milk, free-range eggs, fresh fruit juice, Marmite, Betty's/Yorkshire tea and ground coffee. *FREE WI-FI* and *FREE PARKING*. Help with luggage. The living room with its linen covered antique chesterfield sofa, large format art books, 42" Smart HD TV with Freeview, DVD player, Bose Bluetooth sound system is perfect for a cosy night in. Wet-room style bathroom with walk-in shower, heated towel rail, underfloor heating and plenty of white fluffy towels (shower gel and shampoo etc.) The kitchen - reclaimed slate work-tops, Victorian tiled floor. Induction hob, oven, fridge, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster etc. Washer-dryer, steam iron and ironing board. Ring front door bell marked 'Evagora-Campbell' and David or Anita will give you a key and show you around the apartment. The apartment is within our family house but completely private with its own entrance. Your hosts are on hand, though, for advice on local attractions, restaurants and places to visit for day trips. 'Atelier 22 York' is situated in York's 'Cultural Quarter', a few minutes walk from the Yorkshire Museum, the Theatre Royal, York Art Gallery and the Minster. The city's top eateries are a stone's throw away : Roots, The Star Inn The City, Betty's, Skosh, Partisan, Le Cochon Aveugle, as well as numerous pubs and bars; a gentle stroll back home at night. The beautifully restored medieval buildings of Stonegate and the Shambles provide the perfect setting for some last minute shopping. York's many attractions, including The Minster, Yorkshire Museum and Gardens, Treasures House, Fairfax House, Castle Museum, National Railway Museum, City Walls, Theatre Royal, City Screen Cinema, Betty's famous Tea Rooms are all 5-10 minutes walk away as well as beautiful riverside walks and restaurants, pubs and bars too numerous to mention. So a car taxi/bus is not a necessity at all. A walk through the tranquil Museum Gardens, a couple of minutes away, past the medieval ruins of St. Marys Abbey and the restored 3rd century Roman Multangular tower brings you into the pedestrianised heart of the city. York station (with coach stops for excursions to Whitby, Castle Howard, Fountain's Abbey and the coast) 8 minutes walk. Cycle hire from 'Cycle Heaven' also at York Station. There are 13 outdoor steps to the apartment.

The Stables
Since converting our old stables it has been very popular with people visiting York and Harrogate which are both 20 minutes away.We are lucky to have some lovely local pubs/ restaurants in the nearby villages (10mins away) Within half an hour you can be in the Dales or the Yorkshire Moors - walking, visiting a National Trust property, or sampling a local pub or tearoom. The Stables are clean, cosy and comfortable, with modern, light rooms. The views overlook farmland - beautiful in the evenings.

Long Fall Bothy is a gorgeous stone building on the outskirts of Marsden village in West Yorkshire. Perfect for a walking holiday, the Kirklees Way passes the property and the Pennine Way, Oldham Way are close by. A great place for mountain biking with the Transpennine Trail a few miles away and lots of cycle paths/trails on your doorstep. Local real ale pubs and plenty of cafes in Marsden village a short walk (15 minutes) along the canal. Beautiful scenery, views from the cottage are amazing.

The Sanctuary, Pet friendly
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Beautiful village residence but only 4 miles from stunning historic York with easy public transport access. Bring your pet too, they have indoor and outdoor space and wonderful country walks in the local area. Enjoy our sunroom, a cosy space to eat in Summer or Autumn. Our local pub is on the doorstep serving excellent home cooked meals or a take away Sunday lunch. With 2 parking spaces and secure lock up lock up for mountain bikes.

The vibrant cities & towns of York, Leeds and Harrogate are close by and you can be in the Yorkshire Dales in just 40 minutes. Wren's Nest is a lovingly converted 18th -century barn with a charming private garden and free on-site parking, including secure bike storage. The village has two pubs both serving tasty home cooked food and real ales.

Treehouse relaxing- beautiful views and location.
With amazing views of the Yorkshire Dales this is a perfect retreat. We are a quiet community here surrounded by nature. A big comfy bed and candles enables you to relax with your loved one. Toilet, shower, kitchen area, settee and dining set. There is a balcony to sit outside with Hot tub. Toast, eggs, tea and coffee facilities are provided. A network of paths go through our working farm with river and forest and higher land to explore together. Perfect for walking and bird watching.

Hope Cottage. Whixley.
Hope Cottage is in a peaceful village in the perfect location to visit the many attractions North Yorkshire has to offer . Parking is available outside the cottage, and the train station is a mile away. Whixley has an excellent local pub The Anchor Inn , other local eating establishments are within easy driving distance. Generous discounts are on offer for long term let’s (28day or more .) Please note that charging points are not available to charge electric cars .

Luxurious rural shepherds hut
Located in the stunning Howardian Hills, this is a peaceful and romantic location. A perfect all year round escape. You park your car and the hut is a 3 minute walk from our house- make sure you pack suitable footwear. We can transport your luggage to the hut. The hut has cooking facilities (oven and a hob), there is also a fire pit for barbecues and a picnic table for outdoor dining. You have exclusive use of a hot tub which is right next to the hut.

Station Cottage
The property is a beautiful maisonette at Station House, an iconic grade 2 listed former railway station built in 1841 .The history of the building can still clearly be seen; indeed your accommodation is in the old waiting rooms overlooking the station platform. Tours of the rest of the site may be available on request, including the old goods shed. Guests have access to the public footpath/cycle way adjacent to the property along the old railway line.

Beech House (split, one half let)
Beech House is located on the hillside overlooking Hebden Bridge. It is a quiet location yet only 10 minutes walk from the centre and 5 minutes walk from the station. The house is split in to two so that the holiday let, with it's two large double bedrooms, is completely self contained with its own front door. The accommodation is self catering but we supply breakfast basics.
