A Highland cottage built in the 1720's, newly refurbished in the spirit of Scottish country living. On our Off-Grid Permaculture Croft we keep ducks, chickens and bees, have a huge green house and a large outdoor vegetable garden, fire pit & hammocks. When you book a stay you will be surrounded by nature, waking to wild birdsong and a glorious sunrise and visited by red deer in the evening with spectacular sunsets and Aurora.

Urquhart Bay Barn, situated at the Urquhart Bay Viewpoint, is a charming and spacious self-catering renovation, with two bedrooms (one can be either two single beds or a king size bed), completed to a very high standard, with stunning views across Loch Ness and Glen Urquhart from the dining area window and gardens. We are just a few minutes walk from the iconic Urquhart Castle. The Barn itself is built with stone taken from Urquhart Castle in the late 1800s.

The Cottage is perfectly situated for exploring Loch Ness and enjoy hiking the beautiful hills.
