Unique, authentic and clean! We were looking for a place where to stay in the mountains and still have the Italian authentic small vila - and we found it. It was rainy when we stayed, but it didn’t changed our plans and the vibe as the villa itself has the coziness that fits any weather. Highly recommended place to stay if you want to feel the unique and authentic vibe.

We had a fantastic stay in the cottage for nine nights. Villa Alta is in a beautiful location and the grounds around the house are so well maintained. We enjoyed both the shared pool and our own private terrace with hot tub. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and perfect for our needs. It was a perfect base for us to explore the area. Raffaella was so friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the villa on a couple of occasions. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Un soggiorno a dir poco magnifico! Perfetto per chi ha bisogno di staccare dalla routine, ama la natura e le passeggiate! Assolutamente consigliato.

Sara and Brian are truly amazing hosts—proactive, kind, and fascinating to talk to. Their home is enchanting, like stepping into a real fairytale. You can feel how much love and care they’ve poured into every detail. It’s one of the most spectacular places we’ve ever stayed in! Not only is the house and the garden magical, but it’s also so practical and thoughtfully equipped, providing everything you could think of to make your stay comfortable. The gym was fantastic, and the house had plenty of space for two families. Even with 2 adults and 4 “monkeys” (our energetic kids), there was room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and celebrating New Year’s Eve with fireworks lighting up the entire region was an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Sara and Brian, for sharing your incredible home with us. We can’t wait to return!!!

Alla casa tra gli ulivi si sta veramente bene, i gestori sono gentilissimi e carinissimi ed hanno una "testa imprenditoriale" davvero vincente. Ogni minimo dettaglio, sia della location che del rapporto con gli ospiti, è ben curato e tutto è pulito, nuovo e si vede che la manutenzione è maniacale perché non abbiano riscontrato un singolo problema. Puoi ordinare cocktails, drinks, gelati, massaggi .... Il primo giorno siamo, per problemi nostri, arrivati a notte fonda e ci hanno aspettati svegli senza chiedere un euro di check in posticipato. Ci hanno offerto prosecco... insomma persone squisite che hanno il grande successo che si meritano proprio grazie al fatto che un piccolo spazio intimo e riservato ti danno tutto....casa, giardino, piscina, barbecue, pergolato (tavolo stupendo) CON LA GENTILEZZA DI CHI TI ACCOGLIE IN FAMIGLIA. Veramente consigliato a tutti, un posto magnifico e rilassante. in 4 giorni mi sono rigenerato più di altre ferie che ho fatto in passato di 2 settimane....

We really enjoyed our holiday at cas nel bosco, the house is very quiet and close to nature. We liked that very much. The pool and the garden offer total relaxation. We already miss everything very much. In the valley it was often 32 degrees in the first week and upstairs in the house it was very pleasant. The pool was super refreshing. The house has everything you need and the small village of Medicina is very charming. The access road is narrow and very winding, but we also saw some wildlife. Communication with Francesca and Paola was straightforward and enquiries were answered immediately. Thank you very much, we had a great holiday.

The location is superb, great views and has a very cosy feel. The kitchen and living area on the ground floor were spacious and welcoming, while the private terrace made for a lovely place to have breakfast with an amazing view every morning. The bathroom and bedroom, situated at the first floor, were very clean and well equipped and the view from the bed was amazing every day. Our host Fabio was very friendly, informative and helpful informing us about best times to visit the main tourist attactions of Tuscany and where we could find the best restaurants and shops in the area. All in all an amazing stay! Totally recommend!

La casa è bella e offre tutti i servizi necessari. La strada per arrivare, soprattutto nell'ultimo tratto, si inerpica un po', tuttavia non è stato difficile raggiungere l'alloggio. Si gode di una bella vista e della tranquillità della natura, la strada è trafficata pochissimo ed è possibile uscire a piedi per fare una splendida passeggiata nei boschi. Le camere sono accoglienti, i letti comodi, i bagni funzionali, gli spazi per mangiare e rilassarsi sufficientemente spaziosi (eravamo 4 adulti e 2 cani). Il riscaldamento dei termosifoni avviene attraverso la cucina a legna, inizialmente serve prendere un po' di dimestichezza ma una volta scaldata la casa risulterà molto confortevole e il fuoco del legno è un ottimo compagno per trascorrere momenti di relax e tranquillità lontano dal caos e dalla frenesia. Chris è stato molto gentile e disponibile e ci ha fornito tutte le indicazioni. Un solo suggerimento: una guida sull'uso della cucina a legna

Non occorre usare parole ridondanti per dire quanto ci siamo trovati bene; e' evidente come nella deliziosa casetta di Sandra ogni cosa sia stata sistemata per rendere la permanenza degli ospiti il più possibile gradevole. Pulizia, dotazione di accessori, posizione, posto macchina, tranquillità della zona...e l'elenco potrebbe proseguire a lungo; e poi che dire di Sandra, una persona di una solarità fuori dal comune che accoglie i propri ospiti con un sorriso che è come un abbraccio....grazie mille e complimenti, speriamo tanto di ritornare!

wenn du Ruhe suchst, Entspannung, keine Menschen um dich herum möchtest. ist diese Unterkunft perfekt. als kleiner Trip vorher einkaufen. damit man nicht unnötig die Unterkunft verlassen muss. es gibt wenige Restaurant undie Ecke. ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Auto,kommt man zu einem schönen italienischen Pup. preisleistubg top. tolle Unterkunft um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. wir kommen gerne wieder !!

We, 2 couples a baby and a dog, enjoyed our week at this lovely location. After a quite rocky and adventurous road, the house is situated in the midst of the beautiful tuscan landscape with wine hills and olive trees. From the lovely pool which was only for us we enjoyed those lovely views. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is fully equipped, including a nice barbecue ourside. Florence is reachable within about 45 minutes by car and there are two little towns about 10-15 minutes away with big grocery stores, restaurants and gelaterias. Andrea and Gianni were super helpful, responsive and lovely hosts. We would highly recommend Le Spugne.

Eine Oase mit unglaublicher Weitsicht!!! Wir wollten gar nicht weg von diesem tollen Ort. Francesca hat uns herzlich empfangen und uns zum Haus geführt, wo uns kurzgesagt ein Paradies erwartete. Leichter Rucksack und Wanderschuhe sind tatsächlich ein „Muss“ auf dem Weg zum Cottage, da der Weg dorthin zum Teil sehr felsig ist. Wir liebten die Wanderung auf dem ursprünglichen Pfad nach oben. Wer mit dem Auto anreist, muss einen Parkplatz dafür finden. Das kann eine kostspielige Angelegenheit werden, ist aber in der Gegend üblich und sollte nicht abschrecken. Danke für deine beeindruckende Gastfreundschaft, Francesca!

Het was een hele fijne plek waar we ons heel erg thuis hebben gevoeld in de prachtige natuur in een huis waar alles en meer aanwezig was . Een keuken waar aan niets ontbrak en er waren zoveel extra dingen die zo attent waren in de keuken en badkamer. Fabio en zijn vrouw zijn enorm gastvrij. We hebben een fijne tijd gehad. Ook voor onze hondjes was het een heerlijke plek. We hopen nog een keer terug te komen.

We had an outstanding time at Enricos place. Perfect vacation! It’s a beautiful location, a great house and an outstanding property. If you’re looking for relaxation and an oasis of solitude, it’s the place to be. Yet it is still very close to a lot of nice original restaurants, grocery stores but also Lucca and the beach are just a short drive away as well. We were welcomed by Donatella, one of the nicest person ever, who showed us the house, the property and send us tips and recommendations for things to do in the area. She was super responsive if we had any additional question. Also Enrico was a great host, making sure the house, pool and property was in perfect shape for his guests. 5 stars, without a doubt !!

It was a very nice week in Tuscany despite the rather rainy weather. The house is wonderful, large, warm, with all the amenities. There is also a wonderful yard with a barbecue, which we did not get to enjoy much, but the fault is only the weather. But our parking place was very convenient. There is complete peace and quiet, it is very relaxing. The location is great - very close to the A11, in 1 hour you can get to Florence, 30-40 minutes to Pisa, 15-20 minutes to Lucca. And to countless other Tuscan beauties. Thank you to Graziella and Marco for the beautiful home, the wonderful welcome and the care they took for us!

Die Unterkunft liegt in einem wunderschön gelegenen Dorf, perfekt zum Disconnecten und Erkunden der Natur und den Städten Lucca, Pisa ... Lorenzo ist ein klasse Gastgeber, super in der Kommunikation und sehr herzlich. Die Unterkunft selbst ist top modern, genau wie auf den Bildern und ergänzt durch einen super, shared Pool ideal für einen Urlaub.

Het huisje ligt heerlijk afgelegen in het bos met een eigen toegangsweg erheen. We hebben genoten van het huisje, waarin we terug in de tijd leken te gaan en we lekker knus hebben kunnen verblijven. De regio hebben we uitgebreid verkend in de twee weken die we er verbleven. In het dorp zijn voorzieningen als een supermarkt, bakker, pizzeria en apotheek te vinden. Lopend ben je dan wel een half uur onderweg. Een paadje door het bos bestond er toen wij er waren niet (meer). Omdat het afgelegen ligt moet je wel alles met de auto doen en het bospad ernaartoe is minder geschikt voor lage auto's of kleine auto's met een kleine motor. De bijbehorende tuin is groot, is afgezien van het bos niet omheind, en bestaat uit terrassen. We hadden de eerste dagen wat problemen met wespen, maar Irene reageerde gelijk en verholp het probleem. Bij vragen reageerde ze sowieso snel.

We hebben genoten van het huis in Torre, als eerste huis in Toscane was het heerlijk aankomen met aandacht en verwennerijen van Stefania en haar moeder en vader. Vlakbij Lucca een prima uitvalsbasis. Een eigen parkeerplaats en privacy. De communicatie was heel goed. Een huis om vooral lekker buiten te genieten met al die buitenterrassen. Dank jullie wel. Het was heel fijn!

We hadden een fantastisch verblijf in Daniele's woning in Pavullo nel Frignano. Vanaf het moment dat we aankwamen, zorgde Daniele ervoor dat we ons welkom en thuis voelden. Bij het warme ontvangst hoorde ook lokale lekkernijen, een paar producten in de koelkast en een fles heerlijke Lambrusco. Het huis was perfect: schoon, goed onderhouden en voorzien van alle gemakken die we nodig hadden. De tuin was prachtig en bood een heerlijke plek om te ontspannen. De locatie was ook ideaal, met gemakkelijke toegang tot de bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving. We hebben echt genoten van ons verblijf en kunnen Daniele's woning ten zeerste aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een geweldige plek om te verblijven. Bedankt, Daniele, voor je geweldige gastvrijheid en goede zorgen!

Wir hatten ein erholsamen Aufenthalt in dieser wunderschönen Unterkunft, liebevoll und stilvoll restauriert und eingerichtet, gleichzeitig funktionierte alles einwandfrei auch die Heizung. Ciacomo und seine Eltern (vor Ort) sind äußerst höflich, hilfsbereit, freundlich und immer top erreichbar gewesen. Sie legen Wert auf echte Gastfreundschaft, wie zB der Obstteller bei Ankunft. Insgesamt ist die Unterkunft sehr gut und großzügig ausgestattet. Man kann gut zu Fuß über den Hügel nach Lucca spazieren mit malerischer Aussicht auf dem Weg. Mit dem Auto ist es auch ganz einfach, das Parken rund um die Stadtmauer ist günstig. Viele gute Tipps für Restaurants und Einkaufen. Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen, vielen Dank!

Große Empfehlung! Das Häuschen ist wunderschön und stilvoll eingerichtet, man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Giada hat uns herzlich empfangen, die Kommunikation mit ihr war super. Sie hat gute Tipps gegeben und sogar für ins in Lokal reserviert. In der Küche ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Die Leiter war für uns kein Problem, wir sind einfach durch den Garten in den oberen Stock gegangen. Umgebung: WOW! Sehr schön. Man hat seine Ruhe und kann zu Fuß entweder rauf oder runter in die sehr hübschen Orte Tellaro und La Serra spazieren. Es ist allerdings in beide Richtungen sehr steil.

Heerlijke dagen gehad in de prachtige maisonnette. Dicht bij de stad en een rustige omgeving. Ontzettend lekker bed en alles was brandschoon!

Ruhige Lage, in der Nähe Lerici-Zentrum (5min mit dem Auto, 30min zu Fuß). Massimo, Francesca und Chiara sind sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Tolles Haus für diejenigen, die mit einem Hund in den Urlaub fahren, wie wir! Vielen Dank!
