Hinderwell is a great location to visit the local area with a butchers, fish and chip shop and pub almost on the door step. A regular bus service services Whitby and Saltburn.

You will stay in a beautiful airy converted self contained studio which has its own entrance and is part of a large Victorian Villa (there are steps leading down into the garden - may not be suitable for those with limited mobility). Woodland Lodge Staithes on the Cleveland Way

Woodland Lodge is a single-storey, detached lodge set at the bottom of a steep hill in a quiet part of the village of Staithes, in the North York Moors National Park. With a small enclosed courtyard and an open-plan living space as well as private parking, Woodland Lodge is the perfect base in which to relax after a day of exploring this fantastic coastal area. Crumbleclive is a beautifully restored 100 year old cabin set within the dramatic backdrop of Crunkly Ghyll. It was originally the ‘Gun Room’ for the local estate in the 1890s! The Cabin has a balcony overlooking the gorge with the River Esk rapids visible at the bottom. Surrounded by Oak trees you will feel amongst the treetops as birds gather on the branches around you and fly through the gorge below. It is perfect for couples wanting a romantic getaway to recharge the batteries!

This self contained holiday cottage offers a chance to get closer to the workings of a family dairy farm. It is situated in the North York Moors National Park, midway between the moors and the coast and just a fifteen minute drive (or slightly longer bus ride) from Whitby. The accomodation is unusually spacious for a one bedroomed cottage, it is light, warm and very well insulated but don’t forget there is the potential for noise and smells from the farm!
