Torr Beag is a contemporary, detached holiday cottage (extensively refurbished in 2021) in Tayvallich, a charming harbour village with a public slipway and pontoon on the shore of Loch Sween. It is a haven for water sports. Situated in a small, secluded development made up of a handful of properties, it is a wonderful place to stay to explore the beautiful area of Argyll and Bute. A big draw is the locally renowned Tayvallich Inn famous for its excellent menu featuring lots of local produce.

Kilmahumaig Middle Barn - 2 bedroom cottage

Situated near to the village of Crinan and the Crinan canal, our 3 Cottages were converted from a former barn and are perfect for nature lovers, walkers, cyclists and just getting away from it all. The Middle Barn is our largest cottage, with a kitchen / dining room, living room, and 2 bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor. The living room has a woodburning stove. There is a large garden with pond. Outside seating and bbq provided. Red squirrels and pine martins can sometimes be seen.

The Old cheese loft makes up part of the court yard at Dunadd farm. Situtated in the heart of the ancient kingdom of Dalriada, at the foot of Dunadd hill, once the seat of the first kings of Scotland and metres away from the idyllic river Add, and Moine Mhor nature reserve. Enjoy peaceful walks along the river bank, Crinan canal and beach overlooking the isles of Jura and Scarba and the infamous Corryvreachan whirl pool. Explore the ancient site of Dunadd fort and visit Kilmartin Museum.

The Bothy Suite by Temple Wood

The Bothy Suite is in the 'hidden village' of Slockavullin , delightfully rural but only 1 mile from the village of Kilmartin with Pub, museum and cafe. Temple Wood and the standing stones are in walking distance with the Crinan Canal a short drive or cycle. The guest accommodation does have a seperate entrance and the whole of the ground floor is for guest use with 2 double bedrooms and modern bathroom consisting of double width shower, sink and toilet. Breakfast is continental.

The cottage is over 200 years old and has been converted from an original stable used by the horses working on the Crinan Canal. One can’t help to be gripped by the beauty right on one’s doorstep.

It benefits from a lovely setting amongst the Scottish countryside with glorious views across Loch Fyne, and has many unique features. There is ample private parking directly outside the cottage (spaces for two cars with extra parking if required) and you are free to enjoy the fields and open spaces around you.
