Arriving at Olival de São Filipe means first stopping to take in the view. The high location of the seven-hectare estate provides rich vistas. “Even more beautiful than in the pictures”, is a frequently heard response. The panorama is varied and changes constantly under the influence of the sun, clouds and water. You look out over the Atlantic Ocean, the Tróia peninsula - with a sandy beach as far as the eye can see - the Fort of São Filipe, the mouth of the Sado river and the city of Setúbal.

7 Boxes House é uma casa de arquiteto inspirada na arquitetura tradicional da zona, no Cais Palafítico da Carrasqueira, uma estrutura de pilares e vigas de madeira que suporta um passadiço que dá acesso a pequenas construções de um lado e do outro, onde os pescadores guardam os seus utensílios de pesca. A casa é construída sobre areia, elevada acima do solo por estacas de madeira. É constituída por sete volumes de madeira, dispostos de ambos os lados do passadiço que os une.
