The Mendon Cottage is clean, cozy and private. It’s just a 15 minute drive to Killington base, even in a fairly decent snow storm. There are trails behind the property that offered some good hiking for our doggo (they’re made for snowmobiles, but we didn’t spot one during our stay). The property delivers on its main promise: a less pricey alternative to staying at Killington, with very little inconvenience for the ski bums. Unless you simply can’t live without the ability to take the shuttle and ski off the mountain to your rental, you really can’t go wrong with this property. (It snowed our entire stay and the private road and driveway were plowed repeatedly and always navigable.)

It’s a cozy cottage in a friendly neighborhood. It was perfect for our stay to visit Castleton for the price.

Barbara's place is a real gem. So clean, with a beautiful mix of antique and woodsy modern furniture, and a wonderfully comfortable living area overlooking a meandering brook which a few hundred yards down the road leads to the lake. The kitchen was well-equipped and modern, and beddings and beds were very comfortable. While the house was close too a busy road, we didn't hear a thing, and for summer users the deck is completely away from the road, overlooking the brook. Even more than we expected.

Absolutely beautiful air bnb! Clear instructions on how to get there, we utilized their website they provide with local recommendations for dinner. Marianne was very proactive with communication and quickly responsive. The guest house is idyllic, so peaceful, calm, gorgeous views, very clean. You feel like you’re away on a spa retreat. We loved everything about it and hope to go back in the future. It’s a place that would be lovely to go to all four seasons each bringing something new to the views and elements. Thanks Marianne!

If you are looking for an idyllic lake house experience, this is it! We could have spent our entire trip just sitting on the porches—upstairs, downstairs, one screened-in porch, and the lovely dock. We used the kayaks and the paddle boat multiple times. The house was perfect for us because we are a close family of three, but if you need privacy from other guests, this wouldn’t be the ideal house as one bedroom opens into the other. The beds are soft and comfortable as is the sofa. Paula and Tim were extremely responsive and helpful. We would absolutely return to this house. It was difficult to leave the gorgeous leaves.

We had a lovely weekend in Megan’s home. The space was adequate for our family of 6. The home is in a quiet neighborhood that’s a short drive to Okemo so it was perfect for our ski weekend.

Perfect location! Mad Bus stops right outside the front door. Nick was very helpful and responsive. Will definitely book again.

We stayed here while visiting family in Hanover forThanksgiving. A spacious house nestled within an amazing wooded area. We had the pleasure of waking up to all the trees covered in fresh snow. All the more perfect because the house has huge windows lots of natural light. Highly recommend.
