A 40 year celebration of being married. It was the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy our time together. Many highlights the hot tub view the peacock and peahen dance every night... The night flyover from the herons. Martyn was a perfect host very helpful. Perfect memories thank you.

We loved this place! Its peaceful with good local walks, a pub just down the road. Tea and coffee and a loaf of bread were provided which was very welome. We'd brought our 2 dogs along, and Soraya had thoughfully left some dog treats out too. Just outside there was a hot tub, which was a real bonus, and a great way to relax after a day out walking.

Beautiful cottage. Was perfect for us and the dogs. Fully enclosed fenced garden with a gate down to a quiet riverside walk. The hottub was huge and warm ready for our arrival. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen. We only stayed for 1 night so cannot comment on the local area as we did not do much exploring but we noticed a spar walking distance just down the road and a few cafes.

A great getaway with loads to do close by for whatever mood you're in - great towns and cities like Calendar and Stirling less than half an hour away, equally beautiful countryside and multiple waterfalls, lochs and walks to choose from on the doorstep. Our toddler loved the on site swimming pool and the grown ups enjoyed the peaceful views from the hot tub too! Rosie was so friendly and accommodating.

An absolute stunning break, our third time here. A quiet, comfortable home and a spectacular garden space for my autistic son to be himself, and my 3 Chihuahuas felt like they were in heaven. The hot tub was well used, even my elderly mum had a go. We had some lovely visits to the surrounding areas but mostly enjoyed the rest and relaxation that we all needed. We can’t wait to come back again.

Very well designed cottage making the best possible use of quite a small space - with both a shower room and bathroom , utility room as well as kitchen/living space and the patio with hot tub. Although near to the High Street with a range of takeaways and a superb butcher (Hunters) the cottage is in a very quiet street. The nearby Curate Wynd free car park was very handy and we could unload from there. Although Dawn and Darren were away Dawn was on hand to answer any queries. We had a great three day break - spending the days at the RSPB Nature Reserve in stunning weather. We ate out one night at the Balgedie Toll Tavern - highly recommended for great food and very good service.

We had an absolutely lovely time at Ali's place. Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Hot tub and garnden really make the place with stunning views. Easy access to Edinburgh by train and car and also the Fife coastal path. We loved it! would be very happy to return again one day. Ali was the perfect host.

5 Stars – A Magical Getaway! From start to finish, our stay at this riverside cottage was absolutely unforgettable. The location was stunning – peaceful, scenic, and surrounded by nature. We loved relaxing in the awesome hot tub and sauna after a day of exploring. There were so many activities nearby that made the trip even more special: we got to feed reindeer and wild goats, visit multiple beautiful castles, and enjoy endless walking paths through breathtaking landscapes. The cottage itself was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. The whole experience, from the smooth journey to the warm welcome, was just perfect. If you're looking for a mix of relaxation, adventure, and nature, this is the place. Can’t wait to come back!

lovely surroundings with sheep in field at back. found a delightful loop walk following small Brook into woods. Really appreciate the wood burner in lounge that made the whole place very cosy. would recommend.

Fantastic 3 day stay for my mother-in-law's 70th birthday. The cottage was perfect and we chose it specially so we could get to Edinburgb and Glasgow during our stay. Would definitely book again. Great value for money.

Most enjoyable few days in this warm, cosy cottage. Lovely walks for the dogs and so many little birds! Linda very friendly and able to make recommendations for places to eat in area beyond Leadhills. Many thanks.

Martins place was so good that we already know that we will have a return visit. A lovely and welcoming place to come back to after exploring the local area.

If you value peace, quiet, beautiful surroundings, do not hesitate to visit this place. I definitely recommend it, the house is equipped with everything you need, spotlessly clean, drinking coffee in the garden you can admire the walking deer, you really don't need anything more to relax .

We loved our short stay in the wee cottage. It was very cozy, clean, and homey. We would happily return for another stay, and highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet rural accommodation. Admittedly there isn’t much in the immediate vicinity for food or activities, but plenty to do just a short drive away. Diane was excellent recommending some places to visit and eat. If this catches your eye - book it!

The accommodation was immaculately clean, in a great location. Easy access, extremely well equipped, and comfortable. Fiona was really welcoming & available if any issues ( none) . Would highly recommend! Perfect stay! Also great access for anyone with mobility issues, as can park directly outside the home, & everything was on one level.

We had a lovely stay at Cornelius's place. The location was great, cottage was comfy and warm (we loved the wood stove, kept the whole place warm). Our only regret was that we only had three nights there. There is so much to do you could easily spend much longer there. Thanks. Andy, Zara and Ayesha

We were a family of 6 adults and 4 dogs. The accommodation was great and homely with everything needed for cooking both in and outside. The beds were super comfy and the pillows were the best we’ve ever slept on. The hot tub was a draw for us though took a few hours to get to a good temperature and Kiln dried logs were plentiful. The dogs loved having the freedom to run outdoors and the separate outbuilding was good to sort them out too. Great stay all round.

Quite simply - we could live here full time! It’s a fab home away from home and very spacious for two adults on a romantic getaway. We loved the outdoor bath and the bed was super comfy ! There was plenty of firewood which we took advantage of as the house doesn’t have heating in the bedroom so was quite chilly on arrival but soon warmed the property through once we lit the fire. The sound of the river at night was just so peaceful and therapeutic and just what the Dr ordered ! We will be back for sure 10/10 score ! Lovely welcome pack too the sourdough was amazing !! The cottage is in a beautiful location, with walking from the door and useful nearby amenities in Strachur. The space is well thought out and the garden and seating lovely to enjoy a cup of tea in the sunshine. The bed was lovely and comfy and the shower was great too! Well equipped kitchen for self catering, we also tried The Creggans Inn and had a lovely meal there especially the local seafood. Highlights for us were walking the Cowal way from the door toward Curran Lochain which makes a beautiful spot for a picnic and visiting Inverary and castle.

The Fairy Cottage was absolutely perfect!! Hugh met us at the door and showed us around the place, explaining how things worked. It was so neat and clean but very well decorated. Felt immediately comfortable! Speaking of comfortable, the bed was a dream!! Wish we could have spent more time there but next time we will!!

No.5 Easdale is a great stay. Well equipped, comfortable and a real nice style. Jill was very responsive and had some great recommendations for trips and activities. The island community is friendly and The Puffer is a great spot for some food and a drink. Ferry service is great and the staff are very helpful. Highly recommend a stay, very very relaxing.
