Enjoy the starry nights, campfires by the lake & the back brick patio or cuddle up on the daybed in the master bedroom. Our 2600sq ft home has stunning views of the lake, sleeps 8 with a king, queen & two sets of bunk beds. You will feel like you're in the mountains but just a few mins from town.

Enjoy nature on our large deck with ample patio furniture and a jacuzzi. Our 30 acre property has trails through the meadows, a pond, and creek and is a perfect view into tiny living! A 600 s.f. cottage retreat designed by Robert Phillips. One bedroom, full bath and kitchen, and spacious living room. Ten ft. ceilings and fine architectural details; terraced; fountains nestled in a tree grove on 10 acres with foot paths. 15-20 minutes to Chapel Hill/Carrboro, University of North Carolina; Pittsboro and the Saxapahaw arts community on the Haw River. Fortress of Solitude

Want to get away? Fortress of Solitude is a modernist house on 30 acres. Relax on the porches listening to birdsong. The fortress was built in 2007 as a vacation home. Passive solar design features include concrete walls and many windows. The style of the fortress is a call back to old NC tobacco barns. Surrounded by forest with no neighbors in sight, this home has excellent privacy and a half mile long driveway. Gratitude to all guests who stayed during our 1st year!
