What a fab house this is. We stayed for 6 weeks and did not want to leave. Jo was always on hand if we needed anything but the house is so well set up that we rarely did. The location is fab on a quiet back street but a COOP, Indian and nice bar all within a few mins walk. The house is really well presented and has everything you’d need for a short or longer stay. The hot tub is a great addition and the garden feels really private. All the bedrooms are a great size and perfect for couples. I can’t rate this place highly enough! Full 5 stars from us!

Amazing break away. Peaceful setting, stunning views. A great place to switch off and relax. Nick was a great host from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend the breakfast box.

Lovely cosy cabin in idyllic location, perfect for a weekend get away. Cabin was very clean and equipped with everything you need. Hot tub was such a nice addition and perfect to watch the sunset. Would definitely recommend and would return 😊

We had a fantastic stay at Sonia's place, the cottage was beautiful and was perfect for our family to stay over New Year. There was lots to do in the area and the cottage was in a great location. The hot tub was a fab addition in the frosty weather! Communication with Sonia was good and quick. Thank you! 😊

We had a great stay at the property—it was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Communication with the host was smooth throughout. After our stay, we realized we had accidentally left an item behind, and the host was kind enough to arrange to send it back to us. We covered the postage costs, but really appreciated their help. Would happily stay again!

As fabulous as expected. Ideal space for two couples, high spec accommodation with lots of room to relax . The kitchen is small if you intend to self cater but the facilities and equipment are excellent. We spent most of the time sat in the dining room watching the peacocks who wandered up to the window each day to be admired. Played tennis and walked into the nearby village along a public footpath 50 mins to a very good pub ( Dawnay Arms ) and evenings in the hot tub . Thoroughly enjoyed it, the host ( Lucy ) is onsite and is welcoming and supportive with communication without any intrusion . No hesitation recommending.

A great find and imo £309 cheaper than similar properties I was looking at in the area Great communication, easy to find, parking was stress free (I’ve experienced the Whitby area that’s stressful) hot tub was fab and a very comfy night sleep Perfect location to explore the local area of Scarborough and Whitby

Richard was a fantastic host for our Easter family holiday. Beautiful cottage, stunning surroundings and immaculate, one of the best AirBnB places we’ve stayed and would highly recommend to anyone looking for an escape to the country. Local pub was fab and very friendly for our 6 year old.

Amazing venue, spacious living space which was appreciated by all. The children loved the toys they found and the adults enjoyed the grounds, Poole and table football. Kitchen facilities were excellent and we all fit around the dinner table with ease and comfort. If you need a special place for a group get together this is the place to go. So much better than a formulaic bland hotel. Thanks to the team.

This idillic cottage is in the perfect location for the Yorkshire Gliding Club (where we were flying from for the week) and exploring the National Park. Easy access, very quiet, fantastic views and great surroundings made for a very enjoyable week.

We loved our stay at Swallows Nest. A tranquil, peaceful stay which allowed us to remove ourselves from our busy lives for a few days and enjoy the quiet. Slaithwaite has loads to offer too in terms of good restaurants & nice walks… all in such a picturesque spot too. Everything in the cottage was top standard. Clean. Comfy beds. The shower is great and the bath is huge! Our daughter very much enjoyed her relaxing baths every evening. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Rumpus is a must visit in town for the most delicious burgers using beef from the cattle at Sally’s farm. Thank you Sally for such a wonderful stay.

Well what can I say... Pauline and Graham were wonderful host from the day we got there till the day we left, the annex was perfect with all the extra Pauline leaves (bread, eggs, milk, jam, flowers ect.. ) the list goes on and on. Now too the woodland which Graham has got it to a T with its little walkways and seating here and there and it's was sooo peaceful, our dogs Teddy and Bertie (Shih Tzu) loved it and so did we. I must say a lot of B&B call themselves 5 STAR but this is definitely 5*, thankyou it was just what the doctor ordered ( well if he remembers to order it 😂). See you soon Angela Peter Teddy & Bertie. Second time we have stayed at Croft Cottage and it was every bit as good as the first time. The hosts are super helpful and communicative, checking proactively that we had everything for our toddler too. It’s a fantastic property with plenty of space for a family trip, and the garden is a delight on a sunny day too. We hope to return again in the future.

Had a great visit! Very fortunate for John to be understanding and allow us to film our final student short film. John was always very quick to answer any questions, he was very understanding of filming which is always appreciated. The location was beautiful with some lovely surrounding scenery. Perfect for a peaceful getaway.

Sara was a great host, very communicative, lots of information available, a house website was useful. The cal just before was very welcoming and opportunity to ask any questions, just very nice and welcoming

This was our second time at Phils, first time to celebrate my 70th second time for my husbands 75th. When I asked my family where they wanted to celebrate my husbands 75th birthday it was Phils place. Its perfect for our multi-generational family, amples of space and the pool and hot tub are the icing on the cake. We all had the best time and we made lots of memories. Thank you Phil for the use of your lovely home.

This hidden gem was perfect for our family getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life. we were welcomed with a smile, and a beautiful home made cake and loaf of bread, as well as a fun "boo-basket' with hot chocolate, smores ingredients and a pumpkin to carve. cottage was exactly as described and clean and tidy. we loved the indoor swimming pool and games room, allowing us the holiday fun irrespective of the weather. The Coachman Inn pub only a mile away, had the freshest pint and one of the best steaks we've ever had. close to Pickering, were we took the steam train to Goathland, and Dalby forest to go swing at Go Ape and ride bikes. and only 30 mins from Whitby to get a dose of sea-side and fish n chips! the grounds of the cottage were beautiful too, for a lovely evening stroll, where we met the sweetest chickens and ducks. Truly a fab week away to recharge the batteries !! thanks so much!! and will definitely recommend!

Excellent accomodation. Just fantastic. The kids and us had so much to do and so much to see on The grounds alone which is extraordinary. Stunning fish pond with lots of massive fish. Impressive walks with space for a camp fire which was well utilised. Chicken to feed and tasty apples from a few apple trees. Then there's the indoor swimming pool, the main reason we chose this property and we weren't disappointed. The kids LOVED IT, we all did. You get about 2 or 3 hours swimming time in total a day which is just great. Can't beat the location either, lots to see and do in close proximity. Cottage was clean, tidy and had all we needed. The hosts were splendid also, easy to contact and respond promptly. They'll assist in any way they can. We're certainly looking forward to rebooking for our next holiday. Thanks.

Fabulous garden and location. Beautiful view from the sun room. Great pool, perfect temperature and very comfortable bed. All round lovely clean and quiet place.

Expensive but worth every penny for our 4 generation trip. Rooms for exuberant kids and quiet rooms for 90+ years old great grand parents. Large sociable kitchen diner . Swim spa at 35c so great for the Californian kids.

Lovely stay, cottage is hard to find at first as the address listed doesn’t take you directly to it. There is no parking for the property however parking is available on the road adjacent or in the village which is just a 2 minute walk. Some gifts were left which were a lovely touch and the beds were very comfy. The cottage felt very homely and was full of all the basics you need for cooking and cleaning etc. Overall very nice stay compared to some of my previous trips and I have recommended the cottage to family and friends.

Perfect location. Perfect house. Perfect host. I stayed in Orchard House with my husband, daughter, son in law and two grandchildren aged 12 and 14. The host was so kind and had left milk, bread and a home made loaf for us. One morning we found a bowl of peaches from her garden on our doorstep. Jacqueline is nice and friendly and is available if you need to know anything. We loved everything about the house. Plenty room for us all. Great sized living room. Kitchen come dining room was ideal as were the 3 bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The appliances are new and of the highest quality. Also made use of the log fire when we returned at night. We all enjoyed the swimming pool and table tennis. These activities were such an added bonus. A quiet peaceful location close to so many beautiful villages. Visited Thornton-le-Dale, Malton, Pickering, Scarborough, Filey, Eden Camp, Flamingo Land, and went on the NYMR steam train from Pickering to Whitby.

We had a magical stay at Apple Cottage. The garden, glass house, chickens and ducks were a cottage life fantasy, we did not want to leave! The pool was amazing. The local area was pretty and we would definitely recommend a trip to Thornton-Le-Dale.
