My house is set in a steep valley on the edge of Exmoor with views to the surrounding hills. The village has a very well stocked shop, playing field, village hall and local pub with good food. It is ideally situated for exploring Exmoor, Minehead and the coast which is only 4 miles away. Roadwater is situated on the Coleridge Way for a convenient overnight stop. There is a large garden which guests are welcome to enjoy. Another room with bunk beds is on separate listing. Breakfast is included.

You will breakfast in the original 1620 house but sleep in a stylish bedroom and have access to a private bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. 5 minutes from M5 junction 23, this village property has history, charm and excellent amenities. Skirr Cottage was the home of the acclaimed writer Henry Williamson who is best known as the author of Tarka the Otter. With its pretty whitewashed exterior the cottage is set next to a trickling stream next to the historic Norman church of St. George in the heart of Georgeham village. Putsborough surfing beach is a 25 minute walk via fields or via a lane. or 5 minute drive. The Kings Arms and 17th century Rock Inn serving gastro pub food are 1 minute and a 4 minute walk away.

Circa 1780, The Smithy is part of a Grade II listed, thatched property. Recently extended, it is now a cosy, light-filled, self-contained annex with private access, ideal from which to explore the beautiful North Devon countryside. Accessed via steps to a stable door is a relaxing living/dining space, a double bed on a mezzanine floor and a small shower room. Guests have access to a small patio with seating in the cottage's lovely gardens.
