Loved visiting this place, even in the winter season! The house is warm and incredibly beautiful with full in views of the boats, sea planes and wildlife of the St. Lawrence. It’s so nice to lay in bed on a day off and watch the amazing scenery on the river pass by the massive windows as the sun comes up. The house was incredibly clean and well supplied we quickly and easily found everything we neeed in the kitchen to cook our own meals with the groceries we had delivered. Gerard and David were very friendly hosts, we would happily rent from them again.

Came down for a rugby tournament with a group from Kingston ON. This spot was spacious, clean, very nice and up to date. No issues at all! Would love to come back in the summer once the weather is nicer to enjoy the beautiful yard set up they had.

My personal best Airbnb experience hands down!! The home owners thought of everything, and you have everything you need except for your own personal belongings and sustenance. This is how Airbnb’s used to be back in the day but Ryan and his family’s home have taken it to the next level! Modern, clean, clutter free. They’ve thought of literally everything. Worth every penny. Don’t hesitate. If you’re staying up in the 1000 islands, stay here. No brainer in my book! Thanks, Ryan and fam for a wonderful last minute weekday getaway.

The house and grounds were great, Such a wonderful find for a weekend getaway. Gillian med us upon our arrival and gave us a third walk-through of the property. A very kind and welcoming host. There was an incredible amount of space in this country ranch, both indoors and out. A hot tub was clean and large enough for my group to hang out, picnic tables outside, made for a good barbecue. It was such a short trip to downtown Alexandria Bay, five minutes, it really was a great place to be right next to the heart of it all well not being stuck the rest of the visitors. We all look forward to looking this place again and enjoying the thousand islands

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Jay’s Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The place itself was everything we could have asked for—cozy, beautifully designed, and nestled in a stunningly scenic area with breathtaking views. During our weekend stay, we experienced over a foot of snow, but Jay had already arranged for a plow service in advance, ensuring the driveway was always clear and accessible. Thanks to his careful planning, we had no issues coming and going, which made our stay stress-free and enjoyable. Beyond that, Jay was an exceptional host—communicative, proactive, and incredibly accommodating. He kept us updated throughout our stay and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Highly recommended! This was a fantastic cottage for a family gathering. The layout supports a mix of families with its generous arrangement of rooms and beds. The den with pool and foosball tables was extremely popular and the ping pong table in the gym/studio was also a hit. There were plenty of separate sitting areas so that different groups could find their own spaces - or gather all together. The hot tub and sauna were perfect for a winter stay. The cottage had one of the best kitchens I've seen for a large group - the double oven and two fridges made it easy to cook for all 16 of us and there were plenty of plates, utensils and cooking implements. It was extremely well stocked with all the basics including some cereal and coffee which were a huge hit with early risers. I can only imagine how wonderful this cottage would be in the summer as we had a great time here in the midst of winter and never ran out of things to do. Maria is an excellent host and extremely responsive.

Look no further, you couldn’t ask for more. This cottage is fantastic, it checks all the boxes and then some. Beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, tons of space, gorgeous waterfront.

We enjoyed our stay on Howe Island with Ewa! The weather could've been better but Ewa's bunkie was warm and cozy and we had plenty to do while we were in the bunkie. We definitely will come back here to stay in the summer to be on the water.

We wanted to reconnect as a family before our daughter heads away for a few months of travel and this was the perfect spot. It’s such a beautiful cottage in an incredible location with incredible views. From mornings spent marveling at the sunrise over the lake to walking the trails, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We visited in winter and although we were warned there is no central heat, with the baseboard heaters and a wood burning stove, we were always warm and cozy - even at night. Chris was a great host and would check in on us to ensure we had everything we need. We’re already trying to decide when we can go back!

The cottage and hosts were wonderful, friendly, accommodating and very comfortable. Me, my husband, my kid and my elderly parents found the place absolutely lovely. We'd go back in a heartbeat and would recommend it as well.

The furniture is clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had all the necessary amenities. We especially liked that there was plenty of space for clothing and belongings, and appreciated the wifi, nice TV and games.

My family of 4 really enjoyed our stay at Windswept Cottage. We visited off-season on a last minute trip while our kids were on break from school. The weather was mostly uncooperative, so we spent a lot of time hunkered down and never wanted for anything. It is well supplied and they really had thought of everything. The warnings about the stairs were appreciated. They felt a little treacherous at first, but we were going up and down with ease after the first couple of trips. Good idea to keep an eye on kids as the description recommends. Our boys occasionally got a little overconfident. Tl:dr - Great stay, and we'll be back!

The a-frame was beautiful! So aesthetic and cozy, my gal friends and I had a wonderful trip. The neighbors are super friendly and Mister, the neighborhood dog, was so cute! He even went on a walk with us. The area was very quiet and rural, definitely the location we needed to relax and restore ourselves in nature! Thank you so much!

Hands down one of the best airbnb stays and hosts! Wanted to spend my husband’s birthday at the Buddy shack and happened to mention that to Brandon before the stay. When we checked in, baked chocolate cake, ice cream, a gift bag, a birthday card and a beautiful handwritten note were waiting for us. Above and beyond doesn’t even begin to describe this gesture! And there are thoughtful touches around the house that made us feel right at home. Communication was excellent. Felt like I was chatting with a friend. Tried two restaurants that they recommended and both could give the NYC restaurants a run for their money! The property is beautiful. Enjoyed excellent weather and quiet time by the lake. Overall, I highly recommend the Buddy Shack. You will return with wonderful memories and a full heart!

We love staying at this cabin! It is clean, has the necessary amenities to include a washer and dryer. We always use the coffee maker and feel right at home in the morning in front of the electric fire place. This is our second time booking and we recommend this location.

We had a wonderful stay! The place is perfect for relaxing and getting away from it all. Rebecca was incredibly kind and helpful, making sure everything went smoothly. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!

We can't say enough about our stay at Matt's beautiful cottage. Everything was exactly as advertised and looked exactly like the photos. The arrival instructions were very clear and we appreciated the communication leading up to our stay with the house rules PDF being sent by email. We enjoyed a very memorable weekend in the middle of prime autumn colours. This location is absolutely STUNNING!!!!! The sunsets are breathtaking and the property is perfect for watching the sun set over the lake. Mornings were also magnificent with mist and fall colours blending together beautifully. If you had small children, they would be in the lake from dawn to dusk at this fabulous property. We would definitely visit again; it was one of the best airbnb properties we have ever rented. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a great time at Marisa's place. The location was perfect and it was easy to get to. We really enjoyed the large enclosed back porch with the tables and extra fridge for drinks. Marisa was very easy to communicate with - I would definitely stay here again.

Courtney's place is a really beautiful location. It was the nice and cozy get away we were looking for.

This is the perfect place for a nice family vacation our little guy had so much fun on the children’s slide and playing in the sand.

The property is beautiful. Luckily we were the only ones there, so had the land to ourselves. felt private and serene. I would not have enjoyed it as much if the other cabin had occupants as everything is close together. The cabin is cozy, furniture/appliances are a little wobbly but it adds to the charm and quiky of the place. it was bright and clean. the water is super murky right by the boathouse and launch, but clears as you head out. The stone "step" onto the porch of the cabin can be tricky with anyone with mobility limitations, so take it slow. There is an antique store maybe a 5 min walk that is a great little treasure trove. I found the cutest wind chimes. And loved chatting with the lady working. Most people we encountered were very friendly and welcoming. Quick drive to Clayton and Watertown. There is a country store and a dollar general not very far from the cabin if you need supplies and firewood for sale galore. Wendy was a gracious host. Will be back!
