We have a quaint, cozy and clean room, with a work in progress exterior (built in the 1950s/purchased in 2025) located 28 miles from the Copper Harbor mountain biking trails. We do not take pets at this time, severe allergies. Two restaurants are located within walking distance, Slims Cafe (closed Mon), and the Glacia Tavern (Closes Tues). Enjoy a good night's rest and a tasty breakfast next door before your adventure begins. -ATV trail across the road from our parking lot. -21 miles from MTU

Rustic historical hostel hotel on river. Room #12

We are surrounded by wildlife and water. The cell service and wifi are iffy. The rooms are sparsely furnished but have either a queen or full sized bed. The bathrooms are modern but shared. The large upper veranda surrounds the entire lodge. It has a great view of the river and is extremely relaxing to sit and enjoy the outdoors. There is an LP firepit for the chilly nights. We also have portable fire pits if you would rather have a fire down by the beach/river side. Unplug and relax!

This one-bedroom king suite with large living area with two sofas, a live-edge dining table and an electric fireplace. The large bedroom is a cozy sanctuary and features a king-sized bed made with a custom-built headboard of locally-harvested timber. Alcove off the living area with twin bunk beds. Galley kitchen wall with maple cabinetry, a countertop convection/air fryer oven, two-burner induction cooktop, cookware, dishes, utensils and silverware. Two TVs. Bathroom with glass shower.

The room offers a tranquil escape for guests. The private bathroom is detached from the bedroom but is easily accessible and includes a walk-in shower and pedestal sink. Robes are available for your convenience. This room is located on the second floor, accessible by stairs only.

This is our largest suite at Thomsonite Inn comfortably sleeping up to six guests. One bedroom with a queen bed, another with two twin beds and a sofa sleeper in the living room. A beautiful view of Lake Superior can be seen from the kitchen, dining, and living room. The wood burning fireplace offers a cozy atmosphere to relax. Wood is provided for wood burning fireplace.
