This private guest suite is on the ground floor of my waterfront home. With views across the garden to Bruny Island and a direct path leading to a sandy beach, this is a quiet Haven. The suite includes; a large bedroom, king bed, private entrances, garden deck, contemporary bathroom, and a kitchenette. The location is the stunning South Arm Peninsula offering many coastal trails, beaches, and a key site for viewing the Aurora Australis. Easy access to Hobart (40mins) and the Airport (30ms).

Dolphin Sands Beach Studio

A special slice of Tasmania's magical east coast, the 'Dunes' studio is a cosy couples retreat that will relax and rejuvenate. Nestled amongst the native flora of this 5-acre block, this quiet setting backs directly onto the spectacular 9-mile beach and the breath-taking vistas of the Freycinet National Park. Wake-up to birdsong and a sandy sunrise. Walk, swim, breath again. Enjoy stunning sunsets and a vast night sky before falling asleep to the sounds of the waves, awaking to do it all again.

Chambls Shack

Chambls Shack provides wanderers with a slow stay, overlooking the sandy beach at Verona Sands. Chambls is a genuine shack experience, complete with 1970’s kitchen, open fireplace and light shades. Plenty of wobbly bits and sloping floors, but we’re watertight, warm and a whole load of fun. Flotsam has two fabulous fully self-contained studios, right at the entrance to the Tasman Peninsula. Each has their own private surroundings and fantastic views. We are about 30 mins due east of Hobart Airport. It's ideal for one-night stays, but, if time permitting, treat yourself to a few days so you can explore this incredible area which is all within easy reach. The Studios are well-designed and modern, and have lovely touches which will make your stay very comfortable and special.

Using the shack as your base, no matter which direction you choose to venture, there’s an array of experiences and activities to explore, 20 min to Hobart Airport, 40 min to Hobart, gateway to Richmond, East Coast, Port Arthur and the Tasman Peninsula. Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature. Listen to the ocean and the birds and enjoy glimpses of the magnificent sunrise and sunset across the bay to Freycinet and Schouten Island. We live next door in a new house, but the Studio has been positioned to ensure your privacy. You have your own beachfront spot to relax on a deckchair. Dolphin Sands is a beautiful beach and offers endless walking and swimming opportunities. Swansea is a 30 minute walk by beach.

Camp Rising ~ Cygnet, Tasmania

Our cosy and humble cabin - an old pickers hut from the farm's previous life as an apple orchard - is located in the stunning Huon Valley, with views across the stunning Huon River to the snow capped mountains of the Southwest. You would be hard pressed to find a more peaceful outlook for your morning coffee or afternoon wine as you take in the open skies and the local wildlife. Just a few minutes from the charming village of Cygnet and its many great cafes and shops.

The Hide - Private Waterfront Bruny Island.

Experience the feeling of calm when you turn onto the winding private road that takes you to The Hide. Surrounded by forest, and set on the waterfront, the Hide provides an elegant refuge for couples. In a national park like setting and situated centrally, it is the perfect base for exploring popular Bruny Island. With so much to do on the property, as well as wider afield, we recommend a 2-3 night stay if you can fit it into your schedule.
