Earth & Aircrete Dome Home

Creative, unique, cozy and inspiring. This dome is made from aircrete and is finished with clay plaster and an earthen floor. It is a piece of art in every respect and is sure to inspire. It has everything needed to cook food, stay warm and sleep deeply as well as nearby hiking and skiing trails leading to rivers and cliffs. It is heated by a wood stove and has an outdoor composting toilet. We also offer professional massage / reiki treatments as well as fresh vegetables and free range eggs.

Welcome to Edgewater. Our garden suite is a completely private,separate suite. Guests have their own private entrance. Overlooking gardens and lake, you may enjoy spectacular sunrises and moonscapes. Listen to loons call as they locate one another on the lake. The suite has a comfortable sitting room, with dining table, and equipped kitchenette ( toaster, microwave, coffee press, kettle), ( there are no cooking facilities). Off the sitting room is a cozy bedroom, and private bathroom.

Included is the use of 2 pair of snowshoes, fire pit, bbq. The kitchen was recently renovated. Only 1.15hrs from downtown Halifax and still within HRM. Directly off a quiet paved, plowed road! Newly built in 2021 as a place to hideaway in nature. Set on a private wooded 9 acre lot with lake access to Powers Pond. We have two Kayaks available for use. There are many walking trails on the property for you to explore nature! The contemporary and rustic features of the cottage highlight country living in Herring Cove Village, just 15 minutes to the city of Halifax. Stay put and relax in the hot tub or Herring Cove has hiking, sight seeing, ocean views, and local places to eat.

The house is 1300 ft2. There is a heat pump for heating and cooling, the woodstove is not for guest use.
