With direct, private access to the Great Valley Trail and the Ovens River, The Barn provides luxurious bespoke accommodation and complimentary mountain bikes for your stay. Located on 10 acres, The Barn is an outbuilding to the family home, along with our farm stay, The Stables. Within 10 minutes to the tourist town of Bright, and in close proximity to skiing and snow boarding at Falls Creek and Mt Hotham, a short 45 minute drive away. The Mine Managers Suite at Avalon House has some of the original timber wall panelling dating back to 1889 giving it old word charm whilst upgraded modern amenities make it a warm and comfortable private apartment for two. This was the residence of Thomas Davey who managed the Harrietville Gold Company till the great depression in the 20’s. From Green Gables, it is an easy walk, ride or drive into the township of Bright with its boutique shops and eateries, regular festivals and of course beautiful European style landscape all nestled in the foothills of the Victorian Alps.
