The Sea Cubby, Private Holiday Lodge, Portling.

The Sea Cubby is a unique wee holiday lodge overlooking the Solway Firth. It is perched just above the waves with the most beautiful views across Portling Bay to the white sands of Merse Head nature reserve. The Lodge is not in a holiday park it stands alone with it's own private driveway, parking and garden. It’s so quiet, a retreat to escape and relax, by sitting watching and listening to the waves. The Lodge has a large glass roofed deck. Well behaved dogs are considered, please ask first.

Lodge 44, Lavender Lodge is one of our beautiful Scandinavian wood lodges where you can enjoy Galloway's famous dark skies and abundant wildlife from the comfort of your own balcony, whilst also being located close to the picturesque beach at Sandyhills on the Solway Coast in Dumfries and Galloway. All of our Barend Holiday Lodges guests can enjoy our indoor heated swimming pool and sauna, as well as a free 9-hole round of golf at our great local par 3 Craigieknowes golf course.

The 'Dragons Lodge' is a beautiful Scandinavian Log House set with others within 36 acres of parkland approximately 800 yards from the unspoilt beach at Sandyhills Bay. Balconies offer stunning views across the Solway Firth. Furnished to an excellent standard this is the perfect base for a relaxing holiday. The biking and walking trails of Mabie and Dalbeattie Forest (7stanes) are close by. Colvend golf course is free to lodge guests. The area is recognised dark sky area.

Cumstoun Lodge is a genuine log cabin on a small private site. It stands in its own woodland garden and features just about everything you could need for a relaxing holiday or as a centre for an active break. It sleeps six in three bedrooms; one double, one twin, one with bunk beds.
