The Black Swan is a lovely pub that has delicious food, we recommend checking opening times as they open twice a day for food. We have not been since lockdown was eased but prior to the pandemic the burgers were amazing and worth the trip! Pudding is a must as well! Just up from the pub is the Homersfield Bridge which is very beautiful and is the oldest concrete bridge in Great Britain.

This small pub is a little further afield but well worth the journey! The beer garden is gorgeous in the Summer and the pub is cosy inside. Food is delicious (we recommend the Ploughmans!) and very reasonably priced :)

Sightseeing

We love this stretch of beach as the sand is beautifully maintained. Gorleston does not get as busy as Lowestoft (Just up the road) as there are not as many restaurants or amusements, which makes it a lot more peaceful during the summer months!

This is such an interesting place to visit and not too far away. It is free to enter and incredible to see the planes up close. We always particularly enjoy the Marilyn Monroe Display and the Anderson Shelter display located in one of the many buildings you can explore!

City/town information

Norwich has an abundance of shopping centres, places to eat and historic attractions including the beautiful Norwich Cathedral. It is easy to spend a day in the city and well worth the 30-40 min drive. Park and Ride at Harford is worth doing as it takes you right into the centre of Norwich without the worry of parking!

Southwold is a lovely seaside town that does get busy at Peak Times as can be expected. We love the fish and chips at The Little Fish and Chip Shop on East Street! The beach is immaculate and on warm days the sea is a great place to cool down!
