Lugares para ficar em Llanidloes
Calm, relaxing and characterful home overlooking the river Severn, on a quiet street in the beautiful mid-Wales town of Llanidloes. We are in the process of slowly and lovingly refurbishing the house, so some cosmetic updating still needed. Families and pets are welcome to our little home from home.
As you can see from the photos, areas of the home are awaiting refurbishment and the listing price reflects this. I will update the photos as work is completed. We welcome families, children and pets. Please be aware the stairs are quite steep and narrow and we are happy to set up stair gates if you let us know in advance. There is also a small and lovely balcony overlooking the river that you are welcome to use, though small children should be supervised here. We request a small additional cleaning fee for pets. There is a flat screen TV & DVD player in the living room. We do not have Freeview or a TV streaming service, however there is an HDMI cable and a chrome cast if you wish to stream programs to your own tablet or device and watch on the screen. There is also a wide range of DVDs available. There are teas and coffees provided andwe are happy to arrange a small hamper of snacks, milk and breakfast items, just let us know any dietary requirements.
Llanidloes is a lovely small welsh town, with a friendly community. There are some lovely cafes - The Great Oak being one of the most popular, an art gallery and art shops, a local co-op, butchers, greengrocers, 2 childrens play areas and numerous lovely walks and woodland areas to explore. Llanidloes is a great base to explore mid-Wales and the borders, with beaches less than an hour away and many areas of outstanding natural beauty surrounding us.

5 Westgate St has a 4 star rating from Visit Wales. Perfect for accessing town (a two minute walk over the Severn Bridge) and countryside. Inside the house the decoration is kept to a high standard. Westgate is perfect for two or three guests. Four can share using a second, small twin bedroom. Green credentials are important to us, read below for deatils. There is a small wildlife garden to relax in. Maps provided for walking - situated on the footpaths of the Severn Way and Glyndwr's Way.
5 Westgate St is very well equipped and provides for both short and longer breaks. Guests can enjoy a cuppa or glass of wine in the small wildlife garden, perfect for relaxing after a days exploring. We are ideally located for those who want to embrace living in a small picturesque market town. The local shops almost make for a store cupboard. A daily shop at the greengrocers, fishmonger, bakers, wholefood shop, butchers and weekly Saturday market can inspire great cooking in our well equipped kitchen. We are situated on two national walking trails: Glyndwrs Way and the Severn Way. The beautiful River Severn is crossed withing two minutes of your short walk into town. Turn out of the town into the wonderful beech woodland of Tan Yr Allt. Perfect for a breath of fresh air, stretching your legs, den building with the kids or walking the dog. We provide maps and guides for a myriad of walks from the doorway of number 5. Within a short drive is the scenic Clywedog Reservoir, perfect for fishing, birdwatching (Red Kites and Osprey). Also nearby is the splendid Elan Valley, Aberystwyth for shopping, Aberdovey for the beach, Welshpool for Castles and gardens. Great little steam railways are north, south, east and west -take your pick! Green credentials: Our electricity is from a company who provide 100% renewable sources, we use low energy light bulbs, eco friendly cleaning materials, cruelty free washing up liquid and fair trade tea and coffee, recycling of waste is encouraged, bins provided. We support local businesses wherever possible, aiming to contribute to a local cyclical economy. Be aware: parking is roadside (at the front or just round the corner), the opposite side of the street overlooks some industrial heritage! The single room plus one is small. I'm being honest here, I'd hate any guest to be disappointed. Our desire and aim is to provide a base for a perfect holiday and we strive hard to achieve this. "Croeso", we welcome families, couples, friends from the UK and wider world. A warm welcome awaits..... And newly installed fast WiFi.

My place is close to RHAYADER and THE ELAN VALLEY also adjoining THE GILFACH NATURE RESERVE. You’ll love my place because of the coziness, the peacefulness of been able to have the freedom to walk and explore our hills of mid wales, straight from your door..and only 45 mins to visit the seaside of Aberystwth.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).

You can ramble around the hills at your leisure finding all the sources of the lovely little steams which trickle down through our countryside., where many moons ago the pilgrims would walk to the source of these lovely crystal streams, to collect the so said" holy water" in the pilgrims ampullae. We have been very lucky in finding one ..Then to take the water back to heel sick people from their ailments. We are also neighbouring our local nature reserve, which has got nature trials and all the information about our native wildlife in our area, they also do childrens activities if you log on to the Gilfach Nature Reserve.

We, Darren & Sarah purchased the Old Weather Station in July 2017. Since then we have been refurbishing the building and bringing it back to life. We love the great outdoors and have fallen in love with Mid Wales and what it has to offer. We want your stay to be an enjoyable one, we love to chat to our guests before they arrive to make sure they have the best experience when visiting Mid Wales. If your a group booking, or an individual booking ask if we can help with organizing your stay. Darren is an experienced walker, and holds the Mountain Leader award, he is happy to discuss the area with you and help you with your route planning or if you wish he can lead your group. We have immersed ourselves within the community to ensure we have local knowledge of whats available to our guests when they stay. We can arrange activities for you, and speak to the providers to make sure you have the best experience you can. We have arranged group weekends and family weekends providing activities to meet their needs, you just have to ask and if we can, we will arrange it.
We are extremely rural. We do have neighbours but they are not in close proximity however we ask you respect our neighbours and don't wonder onto their land or play loud music, and if you use our campfire area you are aware that noise travels and not make a noise after 22:00.

Our place is 1 mile out of Llanidloes, an area with much to offer - the sea, the hills, the Elan valley, CAT, close to Hafren forest the source of the Severn, Severn way cycle routes 8 and 81. Elan valley within easy driving, steam railways at Welshpool & Devils bridge. You’ll love our place because we can see the stars and there's hardly any traffic. Our place is good for vegetarians, vegans, couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers, walkers bikers and cyclists.
We have 2 rooms, 1 double with ensuite, and twin room with adjoining bathroom. On the cooler evenings sitting by the log burner is a pleasant relaxing way to end the day. Or you can enjoy the sitting space within your room. Clear nights reveal so many stars to gaze at in the peaceful countryside. We can offer vegan / vegetarian evening meals with prior notice. Although we feel the space isn't suitable for young children because of the wood burner we do have a travel cot for young babies.
We live near the River Severn and can just step out of our gate into the countryside where there are many walks some more strenuous than others. Aberystwyth is 30 miles away, CAT about the same. Hafren forest just 5 miles up the valley as well as the Elan valley where there are cycle paths around the lakes and dams. There are a couple of steam railways within easy reach.

Traditional Mongolian yurt in stunning quiet position overlooking uninhabited valleys. A very romantic spot. Min 3 day let with changeovers on Monday or Friday. Located on fascinating small organic farm/ little community. Be reclusive or sociable!
This hand painted, traditional Mongolian yurt has a wonderfully secluded feel in its position at the head of three uninhabited valleys. 19' diameter, furnished with a (made up) double and single bed. 2 small mattresses can be pulled out from under the beds for children - for which you will need to bring bedding. A basket of wood is provided for the woodburner inside - further baskets can be bought for £8 each. There is a pile of wood we have collected that you can saw up for your fire pit. Tea lights are provided for lighting. (There is no electricity) It is in its own little enclosure with a fire pit which you can cook over and where you can sit to unwind at the end of the day. Cooking and dining in a wonderfully converted old school bus with kitted out kitchen. There are loos and hot showers in the farmyard. Friendly and unique - find seclusion, or become involved in the busy life of the small community with volunteers from all over the world. Traditional 17th century farmhouse, chapel. Hand milked jersey cows, cheesemaking, winemaking. 100 acre farm with sheep, woodlands, . For children the are streams to paddle in , a pond to fish for newts in, woods to explore, trampoline, croquet. This is not glamping but it is comfortable enough - bring your wellies and come back to the wild! We are involved in Cathedral archaeology, traditional crafts, building a stone age farm, tanning, natural building....and lots more!
This is sheep country - 25 of them to every one of us! So it feels remote and there is no sound of traffic. But the small friendly market town of Llanidloes is only for miles away - or an hours walk. There you can mix with the locals in the market or one of the pubs. Its a special place - beyond the commuters run, with a strong sense of community and a welcome to visitors,
  • Um lugar tão maravilhoso para ficar! Uma inspiração relaxante e aconchegante! A vista do yurt & fogueira foi tão bela tranqüila e tranqüila - ele é sentida como um verdadeiro refúgio! Adoraria voltar!
