Lugares para ficar em Eglwyswrw
The cabin is located in stunning scenery, nestled midway between Carningli Mountain, Ty-Canol ancient oak woodland & the foothills of the Preselis & only 3 miles from the sea. With an outdoor hot tub, it's easy to kick back and relax.
Our fully insulated wooden cabin is just a couple of miles from Newport, Pembrokeshire. The cabin perches on the top of one of a series of 3 nearby mounds (the origin of which is still unclear, but you can see the other two from the garden) and over looks stunning scenery. The building is sunny, warm, light and airy, with a woodburning stove for when the weather is cooler. The water is heated by solar panels and a log boiler down in the main house. The hotub and garden has lovely views and you can sit back and enjoy incredible sunsets behind carningli mountain. Guests and friends often tell us that they have not slept and relaxed so well for a long time. Maybe it's because there are very few places left in Britain where you cannot hear the hum of a busy road or the sound of vehicles every few minutes. Here at the cosy Cabin, the small lanes are extremely quiet and you are completely surrounded by nature. All around you are hills, mountains, wooded valleys, streams and great mature oaks, ash and sycamore. Except for the neighbouring farm buildings, you could easily believe that you are tens of miles from civilisation; yet just over the side of Carningli (the rocky ancient volcano you can see from the garden) and only 3 miles away is the small bustling town of Newport. Newport is a tiny town that has an incredible variety of attractions including farmers market (on Mondays), award winning cafes, pubs and restaurants, local shops and art galleries and of course the sea with a beautiful sandy beach, cliff walks and sandunes. Before going into more detail I need to be clear on the location and type of property this is. The cabin has a compost loo which is a dry system that works without a flush, where the waste is converted into fertile soil for the apple trees. The loo does not smell bad in case you were wondering, but is not the same as a flush toilet. Access to the cabin involves some steep steps and a slightly uneven path with some leaves and loose small stones. It is not a modern set-up with a tarmac driveway with all the latest mod-cons (unless you're talking super comfortable beds, cooking, showering and hotub!) The best thing to do before booking is read through a number of reviews as well as much of the description as possible to get a feel for the place to make sure it's right for you. The cabin is open plan with a large curtain to separate the downstairs bedroom. There is a king size bed downstairs and a double mattress upstairs, and a travel cot if needed. We only make up the downstairs bed when there is one person or a couple staying, but if you'd prefer to sleep upstairs, just let us know before your stay. There is an electric shower and heated towel rail in the bathroom. The garden has chairs and there is a veranda for undercover outside dining. The outdoor electric hot tub is partly powered by the solar panels in the garden (as is the whole cabin), and it is hot and ready to use all the time. We will need access to the hot tub to check the levels, change filters etc if needed, but we always try to do this while guests are out. While we do provide a set of towels (one bath towel and one hand towel per guest), it might be an idea to bring an extra towel for the hot tub, and maybe a dressing gown. Some slip on shoes would also be useful for going between the cabin and the hot tub. As we are out in the sticks, mobile service is intermittent, but most networks can get signal somewhere, even if it means a trip to the garden or short walk into the field. There is no landline or internet in the cabin. We have been toying with the idea of getting the cabin connected, however, every single guest (even those that were expecting wifi) have told us at the end of their stay they were so happy not be distracted by their mobile phones, email etc. And that their experience was so much richer for it that we should definitely not introduce it... being cut off from social media addiction for even just a few days is incredibly relaxing and refreshing and is so rare these days. It is easy to forget how good for the mind the experience of spending quality time together, reading, playing games, talking and being able to completely relax is. So if you are worried about being off screen for a few days, don't be, as it really does make for a fantastic experience. Many of the pubs etc in newport do have free wifi if you do need to get online. If you would like to have a tv with DVD player please enquire and we should be able to provide without issue The cabin is self catering, and the kitchen is fully equipped, with a fridge, kettle, toaster and an induction cooker and Samsung oven which are super efficient and a pleasure to use. Some basics are provided, like salt, pepper, some herbs and spices and cooking oil. There will be complimentary tea and coffee (ground, for the caffetiere). There is no washing machine, but I would be happy to do a wash for you at a cost of £2 a load. We also have a dryer, which would be an extra £2, but there is also a drying line outside the cabin. Newport has a launderette too, opposite the Golden Lion pub. Bedding and bathroom towels are provided. If it's raining, there is a fantastic new local cafe in Newport called Pwnc that has an indoor climbing wall free for cafe customers and great for kids. there are also great indoor theme parks like Blue Lagoon etc. not too far away, and the hotub can be fun in the rain. There are a host of other fair weather types of activities close at hand too.
North Pembrokeshire is much quieter than the south and has a unique combination of rocky outcrops, stunning beaches and coastal path, wooded valleys and enclaves, friendly neighbours and a night sky with hardly any light pollution, resulting in a fantastic the view of the stars. The more well-known stunning beaches of Newport, Poppit and Whitesands are interspersed with little gems that are much quieter and actually often much more beautiful such as Cwm Yr Eglwys only a few miles away. The neighbourhood is a mix of traditional welsh farmers, smallholdings and people that have chosen a sustainable path and live off the land (this includes communities such as Lammas and Brithdir Mawr, as well as groups of families that share giant vegetable growing plots and a cow where each household takes a turn at milking!), stone farmhouses and cottages interspersed with hobbit style dwellings and homes made from natural materials. The Gwaun Valley that starts at our property is a sight in itself. Its vast densely wooded sides leads down to a welsh community that has culturally changed very little for centuries. They still celebrate their own new year, have a primary school still running strong with only 24 pupils in total and have a pub that is old as they come and only serve beer from jugs. There are plenty of beautiful sights and places of interest within walking distance along beautiful winding quiet backroads. The large organically farmed field next door with the large oak tree atop an ancient mound is ours and provides a stunning short walk or sports/activity ground (we have football nets to borrow), depending on the livestock! Ty canol woods (less than 1 mile away) is home to an ancient stunted oak woodland, rocky outcrops and carpeted in mosses and lichens, it is like walking into a fairytale book. The woods lead on to the larger rocky outcrops of Carnau meibion Owen which looks out to the preseli hills and also the ancient burial chamber of Pentre Ifan. The heather strewn slopes of Carningli mountain (less than 1 mile away) are well worth a climb, the views from on top are spectacular. Newport has a stunning large sandy beach with dunes and is great for swimming. The town of Newport has become famous for its array of great cafes, restaurants and shops including a wholefood shop, butchers, hardware store, fishmongers (specialising in locally caught fish), pharmacy, newsagents, craft collective, antique centre, Spar and a local produce market on a Monday morning. Our closest neighbours (300 yards ish), Simon and Kerry at Tyriet farm have opened a micro brewery (Bluestone brewing co.), and you can drop in and pick up a bottle or three of their finest ales.

Quiet Earth Eco House; A really magical place; Grand Designs Eco home award winner 2008 is a two storey loadbearing straw bale house (first in the UK). A luxurious off grid home, offering a truly sustainable experience in a very beautiful and quiet haven. Situated in St Dogmaels on a hilltop overlooking breathtaking views of Cardigan estuary, close to local beaches and the Pembrokeshire coastal footpath. We look forward to supporting your retreat here and sharing the many gifts of this place.
This straw bale eco retreat home was self built between 2003-05 and generated much attention due to it's unique nature. Please read the full description before booking! It is a beautiful peaceful retreat centre, offering special time to relax in an untouched woodland upon a hill overlooking spectacular views of the Teifi estuary. There are various idyllic beaches within a couple of miles of here and many inspiring walks. We are two miles from the start of the Pembrokeshire coastal path. It is also an off grid home, powered by the sun and the wind and this is one of it's important features, giving one the opportunity to experience living with the elements and being powered by them. Low energy appliances may be used with awareness such as occasional laptops etc. (no hairdryers/ straighteners or heating appliances). The Nature of this place does also invite the visitor to just enjoy being switched off for a while and to experience the gifts of the environment. Downstairs you will find a large open plan kitchen and living room with a wood stove which heats the whole house. There is a downstairs bathroom in a rounded stone turret with sunken bath and rain water harvested toilet. Water is solar heated and back boiler heated in the winter. The house offers a long conservatory to enjoy the stunning estuary views. We have 2 delightful and gentle cats here called Elma and Arthur in the house and then daphne the dog who will be with us in the eco lodge close by. We can arrange at times for the cats to be out of the house and use the conservatory for short periods. If you have serious cat allergies however this may not be for you. Upstairs offers a beautiful and spacious open plan room which offers itself as a luxury bedroom and studio for a couple or a space for family or occasionally a retreat space for a group of up to 8 with low futon style beds. We have also now opened up the large beautiful attic bedroom as an extra room with a double mattress and space for more. This is accessible by ladder. In the warmer months there occasionally is a self contained eco lodge too. The wood fired hot tub will Only be available from early summer at certain discretionary times for long staying guests who can enjoy the ritual of gathering wood, heating the stove and then bathing under the stars. Please note; this takes a good few hours to prepare and so is Not available for short stays due to the sustainable aspect of this centre. The woodland is terraced, with paths for visitors to explore and we are currently developing a forest garden. We also encourage artists and writers in residence to spend time here working in a natural and supportive environment on a project. We can offer subsidy for this also at times. Please note; this is a natural straw bale/ clay built home and we hire a wonderful cleaner to scrub the place...we use no chemicals in the process.. it is perfectly clean in the best eco natural way possible. Yes, there can be spiders and insects around in the summer.. please bear this in mind as a natural part of living close to Nature.
The beauty of this place is all that Nature has to offer along with the gifts of many of the creative people living in the nearby village and surrounding area. There are many circular walks for which we can give directions. We are situated at the beginning of the pembrokeshire coastal path and close to an array of stunning beaches. Our local beaches Poppit and Mwnt have regular sitings of bottle nosed dolphins and seals. Cardigan town is a few miles away along the estuary and offers shops, restaurants, theatre, cinema, spa and a heritage centre. In the heart of the village is a ruined Abbey, a visitors centre and cafe. The village offers a good few pubs along the river, a wonderful deli with homemade produce and cafe. We encourage guests to visit our local produce markets and organic market gardens. Most foods can be bought locally. The gift of this home is that it is secluded in a woodland and yet a walking distance to the village estuary and beaches.

Cosy cottage (Pen Lon Las) is part of the east wing of Albro Castle workhouse situated in its own valley overlooking the Teifi Estuary. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside with the start of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path at the end of our lane. Poppit beach is a 15 minutes walk away and the Preseli Mountains a 20 minute drive. St.Dogmaels is a pretty village with a local produce market every Tuesday, brilliantly stocked shop for essentials and the Ferry Inn pub just a 5 minute walk form us.
Pen Lon Las is a one bedroom wing of the “best preserved workhouse in Wales” (National Trust). We have renovated it to be as authentic as possible, changing as little as we can, repairing old doors and windows and exposing old paint colours on parts of the walls giving a deep sense of history and tranquillity. It has its own fully equipped compact kitchen, shower room and toilet, and dining/lounge area with sold fuel stove and double sofa bed. The separate bedroom is simply furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe. Background heating is provided by storage heaters but lighting the solid fuel stove makes the whole cottage really cosy. Coal and kindling for this fire are provided free of charge which are stored in one of the former Vagrant cells close to the cottage. With care, the stove can be kept alight for your whole stay.

The cottage at is a unique barn conversion with lovingly crafted details. It is cosy, comfortable and peaceful -you can hear the sound of the mill leat flowing behind the building. There is plenty of stunning magical landscape at Felindyrch to explore.
This converted cow barn is part of a smallholding which used to be a thriving flour mill. It is a gorgeous place for a holiday. Felindyrch is 10 miles from Narberth and 12 miles from Cardigan tucked away in its own little world close to the Preselli mountains. You will find everything you need here to kick back and relax and explore magical Pembrokeshire. We are in a 16 acre smallholding and there are rivers, streams and waterfalls all around. The place is an oasis of escape. This whole place is steeped in history both ancient and recent, they say it has been in use since megalithic times as a sanctuary for healing, being the home of the famous bluestones which were transported (somehow!!) to Stonehenge. The mill has not been in use for 50 years but the old cast iron wheel still stands and the mill race flows behind the cottage. You will always be able to hear the faint murmur of flowing water as well as plenty of birdsong, the odd sheep bleating and no traffic except for a tractor making hay in the fields during the summer. During the summer holidays the cottage is only available to rent for a minimum of 7 days except in special circumstances. It is worth checking in with us. You will be able to light a fire outside and sit under the starscapes, hang out on the river bank and get natural, wander amongst the trees and hills and let the rest of the world disappear. 3 bedrooms, one double en-suite, one large twin room , one small twin with 2ft 6 beds which can be put together to create a kingsize bed. The cottage has been built and designed by artists and craftspeople. Well-equipped country kitchen with an easy to use wood pellet burner for central heating. The comfy living room has a wood burner - (we provide a large basket of wood) and a TV and DVD player. We also have wireless. Due to its sheltered location we only have the odd patches of mobile reception but half a mile down the lane there is full reception. Should you need it, we have a tumble dryer in one of the outbuildings and can also arrange for you to use one of our washing lines. We are two miles down the lane from the nearest convenience store which you could walk or cycle to if you are coming on public transport. This is a wonderful area for cycling. The nearest small town is Crymych 3 miles away with a sport centre, swimming pool and local shops. Nearest station Clunderwen 6 miles. We can arrange to pick you up if you let us know in advance. Our business is designed to support the local community as well as provide holidays so we are happy to link to local services such as organic veg boxes, massage, outdoor pursuits, bush-craft and hand-made goods.. We also offer compassionate breaks when we are not booked to those who are unable to afford a holiday but perhaps need one most after bereavement, illness, long periods of stress etc. It is a very nourishing environment here.and we love having visitors who appreciate nature and its kinfolk.
This is a traditional farming area. There are many great walks and footpaths up to the hills. In the village a mile away there is a lovely wooden playground. In the other direction Trefach caravan park welcomes guests from Felindyrch to swim in their swimming pool as long as refreshments are purchased from the restaurant or bar. Mention Felindyrch for a warmer welcome when you arrive as they are pretty hot on making sure they keep a safe space for their younger guests

    Lesley2018-06-29T00:00:00Z

A beautifully converted stone barn set in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park on a small, quiet farm with access to 3 acres of privately owned woodland and riverside walks. Romantic farm cottage near the coast, with stunning mountain views. Enjoy peace and quiet in an unspoilt landscape, yet just a short walk from the historic village of Nevern, with its ancient church and traditional pub. Nearby Newport has cafes, restaurants and galleries and is only a 5 minute drive away, as is the famous Pembrokeshire coast path. Sandy beaches, secluded coves, woodland and mountain walks are all within easy reach. A perfect retreat for a couple wanting to get away from it all.
The Cart House is stylishly furnished and thoughtfully equipped, so you can make the most of your stay in beautiful North Pembrokeshire. It's an interesting 'upside down' cottage, with the open plan living area on the first floor and the bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor. Both floors have doors leading to the private patio where you will find both a barbecue, table and chairs, and an array of potted plants - perfect for al fresco eating or just star gazing. The cottage has a wood burning stove for cosy evenings in by the fire and electric heating throughout. The comfortable double bed has feather duvets and pillows and crisp cotton sheets (non feather substitutes are available for allergy sufferers). The cottage is on a farm, in a very quiet and peaceful part of Pembrokeshire. Alice is also an artist and has a small studio and gallery in the farmhouse.
We are in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, world renowned for its outstanding natural beauty. Just a short walk away is the historic village of Nevern, with its family run pub, the Trewern Arms, charming St. Brynach's church, 10th century Celtic cross and 5th century Ogham Stone. A short walk from the church brings you to the ancient Pilgrims Path, used for hundreds of years by pilgrims making their way to St. Davids. You can literally follow the Pilgrims footsteps, worn away over the centuries into the slate. The path follows the banks of the beautiful Nevern river until it reaches the sea at stunning Newport Bay. There are some fabulous walks along the coastal path, as well as beaches and coves, too numerous to mention. We are a 5 minute drive to the sea and during the summer a local bus company runs a shuttle service along the coast for walkers. The Preseli Hills are also a magical place, with numerous neolithic sites dotted throughout the area and numerous footpaths and bridle ways to explore. Nearby Newport is a pretty seaside town offering a fantastic array of eateries. We also have art galleries, an antique shop, a local butcher, wholefood shop, hardware store, Post Office, Chemist and small supermarket. There's an interesting street market held every Monday and the community run Memorial Hall has a vibrant and varied mixture of cultural events and activities running throughout the year. The Cart House is a 10 minute drive from the old county town of Cardigan, which has 2 supermarkets (Tesco and Aldi) and a variety of shops along its pretty High Street. It's also worth a visit to Theatre Mwldan, which hosts a great selection of films, theatre, comedy and music events. For adventurous types there are a wealth of activities on offer, from sea kayaking and coasteering, to paragliding and surfing. Visitors to the area are often struck by something else that is rarely mentioned in the tourist brochures, and that is the warmth of the local people. We live in a very welcoming community and we all hope you'll enjoy you're stay here.

"Not only is it one of the nicest gardens I have seen in the county it is an absolute marvel." - Pembrokeshire Online. Chalet in four acres of garden and private woods in the small village of Moylegrove, Pembrokeshire with 20 minute woodland walk to the coast. Private river, waterfalls, water areas and landscaped gardens with seating areas throughout. Woodland walk directly from the chalet to local bay and coastal path (no road walking or driving). Driveway gated parking. Ducks on your doorstep!
Exclusively available on AirBnB. I live here and can go weeks without seeing or hearing another soul if I choose! The main house is only a hundred yards away and the chalet can be reached exclusively from the driveway through its own gated walkway or down from the woods with its own private path. The gardens were once open to the public and have many seats and secret areas to discover as well as our own woods to tramp through. The chalet has a smart TV and wifi broadband with Netflix and Amazon TV included. There is no mobile phone reception in Moylegrove but phones can be used through the wifi. There is one master bedroom with king bed and one smaller room with two bunkbeds. Chalet is suitable for two adults and two children. The bunkbeds are adult singles. Breakfast items and cupboard stocks provided for self-catering. Our friendly ducks live outside the chalet. They are very curious and appreciate company!
Moylegrove sits on the remotest coastal part of the Pembrokeshire National Park. The cliffs here are the highest part of the Pembrokeshire coastal path. It's a 20min woodland walk direct from the chalet to the bay. Poppit sands beach is only 2 miles away and Newport sands and links golf course is only 5 miles away. Both beaches can be reached by walking the coastal path at the bay. The area is extremely popular for kayaking and coastal walks. The nearest shopping and eating locations are Newport, St. Dogmaels and Cardigan. Due to its remote location there are no shops or pubs in Moylegrove itself. We have local information in the chalet of places to eat that we recommend.

We have been a community for over twenty years you can learn more about us by joining one of our tours or even volunteering here. Have a look on our website for more details. We also run training courses and events which could help to make your trip a really memorable experience. The Sunrise room is a pretty, single, private room within our main Community farmhouse. Facilities are basic, comprising a woodburner, desk, chair, drawer, table and bookshelves; but the views over this part of our farm from the double aspect room are beautiful. We absolutely love it here and hope you will too. We look forward to sharing it with you!

Ty Cannol, an ancient oak woodland, and the stunning coastline are both within walking distance, as is the charming village of Newport, boasting a fine array of pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Pembrokeshire Coastal path was recently voted one of the top ten long distance walks in the world. There is minimal light pollution here, so the night skies can be breath taking, and there is always loads of wildlife to see and hear, including dormice, bats and owls.

Apenas me senti natural e confortável. Pessoas amigáveis, grande casa velha e muita natureza. Eu voltarei! ~

Please note: There is no TV in the property! My house is set in beautiful rural countryside with some wonderful wild wooded walks a few minutes up the valley. Brithdir Mawr is an Eco-Community formed in 1994, currently 13 adults and 5 children. We live on an 80 acre restored farm nestled at the foot of Carn Ingli in Pembrokeshire National Park. The Community is off grid for electricity and uses the water from the mountain spring. We have outdoor composting toilets and bathrooms with showers that guests share with the rest of the Community. We have a four private rooms available, plus a dormitory space. This posting is for our Yard Room.
If you are interested in community living or self-sufficiency this is the place for you. We have been a community for over twenty years you can learn more about us by joining one of our tours or even volunteering here. Have a look on our website for more details. We also run training courses and events which could help to make your trip a really memorable experience. The Yard room is a cosy, private room just off our central courtyard, screened by shrubs and herbs (help yourself to the mint!). It is a double room, and pets are welcome. Facilities are basic, comprising a wood burner, set of drawers, table and chair, but the surroundings are beautiful. We absolutely love it here and hope you will too. We look forward to sharing it with you!
We live in a beautiful area of Pembrokeshire National Park, next to Carn Ingli and the Preseli Mountains.

This is a cosy studio consisting of a double bedroom, with a comfortable king-sized double bed and an en-suite bathroom. There’s also a microwave, kettle, toaster and small fridge. Tea and coffee are provided. The studio is attached to the main house, but with a separate entrance, and guests have access to a sheltered garden. The house is at the end of a stepped path, off one of the winding village roads, with a lovely view over the surrounding countryside.
The studio is next to the main house, with its own entrance, and is private and comfortable, with an en suite bathroom and a king-size double bed, and table and chairs. There’s tea, coffee, a kettle, a toaster, a small fridge and a microwave in the room. There’s a private, sheltered garden, with seating, for relaxing after a busy day. The studio is a TV-free zone, so please bring laptops/tablets for your entertainment. The studio is accessed by a stepped path, and is therefore not suitable for guests with mobility problems, or guests with small children, as it isn’t pushchair accessible.
The cottage was originally one of the many traditional fisherman's dwellings and is approached by walking up a stepped path between neighbouring cottages. It's in an elevated part of St Dogmaels, in a most idyllic setting, and benefits from the wonderful views, but is only a few minutes walk away from all the amenities of the village. St Dogmaels is a beautiful village, perfectly placed for access to the coast and the countryside. Most guests choose to eat at the ‘Ferry Inn’, which is just a ten minute walk down the hill, and has a restaurant section, with lovely views over the Teifi River. There's the Premier supermarket/grocery shop on the High Street, the award winning St Dogmaels Fish and Chip shop, and of course, St Dogmaels Abbey ruins, with the Coach House Cafe and visitor centre, which provides lovely snacks and lunches, with sunny courtyard seating. The village overlooks the Teifi River, and Poppit Sands is just a few minutes drive down the road. It's a beautiful sandy beach, and the Pembrokeshire Coastal path begins here. Just a few miles inland are the Preseli Hills, where the famous blue stones of Stonehenge were thought to have been quarried. There are a number of walks along the spine of the Preselis, with amazing views of the surrounging countryside and the sea. Next door to St Dogmaels is Cardigan town, a bustling traditional Welsh town with a central high street, with a number of artisan cafes and restaurants, and interesting independent shops, with three supermarkets on the outskirts.

A riverside haven, with unsurpassable views of the Teifi, ideal for walkers on the nearby beach & coastal path, kayak paddlers and RHIB boating (all available on site), or just plain sun bathing and paddling, before enjoying a meal in a local pub (nearest is just next door-but-one)
Not only is Jonathan a unique riverside location on the Teifi, with its own deck and jetty, but use of up to x3 river kayaks and/or my inflatable RHIB boat are all included (at no extra charge). The large and pleasant beach called Poppit in the Pembs Coast National Park, is just a couple of miles down the road, & marks the start of the award winning National Pembs Coastal Path. This part of the world is blessed also with many sites of local interest from medieval castle to wildlife sanctuaries; and there are many local pubs and restaurants to choose from for both lunch and the evenings. The kitchen is fully fitted with washing machine, cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and all kitchen utensils, breadboard, knives, grater, saucepans, etc. Everything you need for self-catering.
The riverside village of St Dogmaels is on the northern border of Pembrokeshire, formed by the River Tivy (Teifi) close to the market town of Cardigan. St Dogmaels is significant because the Pembrokeshire coast path starts or finishes here, depending on which way you're walking it. The village has three main attractions all in close proximity to each other: St Dogmaels Abbey, The Coach House (St Dogmaels Heritage Centre) and Y Felin Water Mill.

Our lovely Moor shed is a small groups room which we rent out at peak times. It overlooks the beautiful moor with it's ancient stones+circle. There is a fire pit+seating-so you can have a fire+a feast. You can sit+watch the sunset, it is simply furnished with futons+seating+the small simple private kitchen is close by+you have use of the loo+shower in the back of the Pottery (shared facility) It is a cheaper alternative to the cottages+full of charm! Optional Pottery workshops available...
Our Moor Shed is available as an overflow place to stay when all the cottages are already booked from Easter to end of September... Please note it is not a house... It has a lovely feel and being so close to the wild place of the moor is a wonderful retreat space. It is our cheapest option for one person to come and stay but also ideal for a couple or a maximum of 3 people to stay... Just a few steps from the moorshed is the gate to the moor...you can gather wood and have a fire....and there are benches and other seating for watching the sunset! (Please note the firepit is shared with the other (URL HIDDEN) you may or may not have company!) It has a futon and a couple of foam seat beds - so can sleep 1-2 people or a maximum of 3. It is only suitable for adults or teenagers...not for little ones...but there are other cottages suitable for little ones and the Moorshed is cheaper to stay in than the cottages...for various reasons: The Moor shed has a small and very simple kitchen close by more details below...and also use of the shower and loo in the back of the pottery which is a shared facility. Also our moor shed is used for some storage...We normally use it for singing, meditation etc It has quite a few lanterns and a really welcoming... not a huge space but if people are looking for a cheaper alternative to a cottage and don't mind squashing in this is a possibility! It is also used to store spare duvets...hidden away under the steps so you never need to be cold! The sleeping is on a futon which is fairly firm...which some people like but if you prefer sleeping softer...again you can use an extra duvets under the bedding...There are some electric heaters in the building too... It is a delightful space right next to the moor!
I love the magic of the hills...the wildness of the country...the everchanging colours of the landscape...the stones...skylarks...the beautiful sunsets...the peace and tranquility... I also love making pottery and teaching others how to throw pots on the wheel or make them by hand...
Completa tranquilidade !! Você pode sentar e aproveitar a fogueira à noite. Lugar aconchegante. Eu gostei muito.

A self-contained cottage, part of a larger 3 part countryhouse set in a secluded location on a hill above the picturesque village of St Dogmaels. Guests have the entire cottage adjoining our own for their own use with all amenities, fully self catering and a private entrance with own door key. Table tennis room and badminton included here too. 2.5 miles (7 MINS BY CAR) to the sea / beach / coast paths.
A very calm and peaceful little valley with several footpaths through small virgin woodlands and sleepy country lanes meandering through grassy fields. Wake up in the morning to total silence, except for the sound of the birds all around. There is a badminton / volleyball net with rackets etc and also an indoor table tennis table with bats and balls which is all available free for guest use! The tap water supply is from a deep spring under the hill (hundreds of years old) and was considered a special spring source by the local monks of the abbey nearby. The views from the windows are of nature (trees and fields) - giving a real sense of being surrounded by nature. Please note: the price does not include use of electric storage heaters (£5 extra per night) or price of logs for the woodburner (£5 per basket).
Our valley is quiet and the lane is not used as a through road so very few cars. There are a handful of other houses up and down the valley, but all very quiet and peaceful. This village is one of the safest places in Britain and is peaceful as well as idyllic.

A cosy, light and airy cottage full of character which used to be the milking parlour. Set in a tranquil, rural location and only a short drive to Poppit Sands beach. St Dogmaels village is just down the road.
Full of character with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. The upstairs bedroom overlooks the living area and is perfect for couples or children as the single beds can be zipped together to make a super king-size double with an additional pull out bed underneath. You will find plenty of maps and info to help plan your stay or you may just wish to enjoy the peace and quiet and cwtch up in front of the log burner enjoy reading one of the many books available, watch a dvd or play a board game.
The village of St Dogmaels, with it's ruined abbey and old flour mill, is located on the estuary of the River Teifi close to the beach of Poppit Sands - the start of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. An ideal location for exploring the beautiful Preseli's hills with it's ancient burial chambers and famous bluestones used for the building of Stonehenge. We're very luck to have such a stunning coastline and both Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion have wonderful beaches ready to be explored. The village has a local award winning produce market which is held every Tuesday close by the Abbey and the duck pond. The Ferry Inn makes a great place to go for a meal and a pint and overlooks the estuary. Reopening later this year (2020), following refurbishment The Webley Hotel will be a stunning place to finish off the day when the sun goes down. The shepherds hut has been made with much love and affection for how rural workers often lived. I made it from bare chassis to finished article here on my farm and tried to capture the rustic simplicity of times past. Facing the Preseli hills with the coast a few minutes drive away it offers nostalgia and comfort with unspoilt beaches and beautiful mountainous countryside at your fingertips. The paddocks, toilet, solar powered shower and cooking (gas+barbecue) are adjacent to the front door
Step back in time and enjoy a true rustic experience here in North Pembrokeshire, where we pride ourselves on keeping the land unspoilt and preserving natural beauty for everyone to appreciate and enjoy. There are numerous beaches and coves which can be reached easily by vehicle or for those who love walking then the coastal path is almost on the doorstep. This is the only coastal National Park presently in the UK and is famous for its unique and spectacular views. Not to be out done the Preseli mountains rise majestically from the coast to form a spinal ridge protecting the lands between the west and eastern coastlines. The timeless giants have throughout creation attracted life to thrive here under their watchful eye and it is widely believed that the bluestones forming stonhenge were quarried here and transported to their present location thus taking with them the mystic atmosphere they give out. From the shepherds hut it is possible to visit any part of this Welsh haven in merely minutes. The towns of Cardigan, Fishguard and more are also but a short drive away and there are quaint pubs, restaurants and hotels dotted about all over the area offering a friendly welcome and local cuisine. I also cater for and welcome guests travelling with horses, having paddocks and stabling on-site and am negotiable on pricing for the equestrian accommodation. There are very few such facilities in this area and as a horseman myself understand the difficulty in finding suitable places for such a wonderful joyful experience for horse and rider.

A remote unique gem, idyllically situated on the banks of a mountain stream in the heart of the wild unspoilt beauty of the Preseli Hills.. just 20mins from the the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.. with magical off-grid simplicity Rebecca offers something truly different..
With comfortable simplicity, eco-sustainability and no mod cons Rebecca offers something truly different - a magical getaway in stunning rural surroundings. The absence of electricity with its busy reminder of modern life allows for unusual peace and tranquillity and a real connection with the abundant wildlife here, giving the opportunity for a wonderful holiday/adventure whilst leaving a satisfyingly light footprint. Ideal for walking, (hills, shores, coast path), mountain biking, stargazing, birdwatching, botanising, dreaming, romantic break, retreat..or simply chilling. Rebecca is on its own, about 50 meters from our house and invisible from it.
It's beautifully remote and off the beaten track, yet within easy reach of the coast and some charming small towns. Our immediate neighbourhood comprises a few farms across the fields, moorland, marsh and mountain. We live down a rough track off a small country lane. You can walk straight out onto the hills and lanes. Or you can drive to any point on the unbeatable Pembrokeshire Coast Path, or to eat out at any number of cafes, pubs and restaurants, in Newport (Pembs), Narberth (interesting shops as well), Cardigan, Fishguard or Haverfordwest - all equidistant at about 13 - 14 miles away. The small ex quarry village of Rosebush is 4 miles away with a pub and tearooms. The Fishguard - Rosslare ferry is 14miles away and day trips are possible in high season; or we are very convenient for a stopover on the way to or from Ireland. For activities there are pony trekking facilities, Pembrokeshire's Blue Lagoon, mountain bikes to hire, Folly Farm, Oakwood etc. From Tenby you can take a short boat ride to Caldy Island: Skockolme and Skomer Islands are visitable weather conditions permitting. You can take boat trips to see dolphins in Cardigan Bay. And much more.

The Barn is located in a magical setting with stunning scenery. Only 1.5 miles from Newport with its restaurants, we are a stones throw from Carningli mountain, the Preseli's and the ancient woodlands of Ty Canol, but still only 3 miles from the beach. Just breath in the fresh air and relax. The Barn is the perfect place to self-isolate and is hygienically cleaned between bookings.
The Barn is located in the grounds of a main house but completely separate with it's own outdoor area. Beautifully furnished with an exotic mix of modern and antique furniture and textiles. It's thoughtfully equipped for all your needs so that you can make the most of your stay in Pembrokeshire. The homely kitchen has an Irish dresser with flagstone floors and is the perfect place for organic cooking . The living area is open plan with a wood burning fire to keep you cosy in the evenings and there is underfloor heating as well as hot water whenever you need it. When the sun is out you can open the patio doors to a south-facing private outdoor area for eating alfresco. The galleried bedroom is snug and romantic with warm Welsh blankets & Afghan textiles. We try and provide you with everything you might need and this includes a starter log pack, towels ( not beach towels), toiletries and a welcome basket of local produce. The barn is beautifully furnished with local art and all my favorite things. There are books to enjoy as well. At a squeeze you can also fit in two friends on the sofa bed in the living area if you aren't worried about privacy. It's the perfect peaceful place for slow living. The parking is shared with the main house on the same property and whilst the outside area of The Barn is separate and private it is not fenced off if you have a pet.
The Barn is in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, world renowned for its outstanding natural beauty and the only coastal park in the UK. Cilgwyn is in the heart of this in the north of the county which is quite different and quieter to the south; full of rugged exceptionally magical landscapes, wooded valleys, stunning coast, eccentric and interesting characters, and I swear a few wood fairies!. The Bluestones of Stonehenge were hewn from the rock only a few miles away, and the whole area is full to brimming with ancient history and rich with legends. This is a very special and magical location. You can explore the enchanted Ty Canol Woods, the Gwaun Valley and the wilderness of the Preseli Hills. Discover ancient trails, Iron Age Fort, Neolithic burial sites and places to stand and stare at the glorious views. Pentre Ifan burial chamber is close by and if you look closely you'll find a secret hidden one on the property! There are wild horses on the mountain and it's a fantastic walk to the top. For a quick beer to recover try the Bluestone Brewery which is only 2 minutes walk away and is open most days until 4pm. The Candle Workshop is also close by and makes for a fascinating visit. Whilst Newport is close by, The Barn is actually in the parish of Nevern where there is an ancient Pilgrims Path used for hundreds of years by pilgrims making their way to St Davids. The light here is different, and the air is clean and unpolluted. Look out for the amazingly clear night sky giving a fantastic view of the stars. There are so many fantastic walks on the doorstep it’s impossible to describe them all. Likewise, there are many beaches and secret coves that you can explore from the coastal path which is only a 5 minute drive away and during the summer is accessible via a local bus company that runs a shuttle service along the coast for walkers. The Preseli Hills are also a magical place, with numerous neolithic sites dotted throughout the area and many footpaths and bridle ways to explore. Newport is a pretty seaside town which has become famous for its array of great cafes, restaurants and shops including a whole food shop, butchers, hardware store, pharmacy, newsagents, craft collective, antique centre, Spar, Post Office, outdoor clothes shop and fantastic art gallery. Newport also has a stunning large sandy beach with dunes and is great for swimming. There's a vibrant street and farmers market held every Monday and the community run Memorial Hall has a varied mixture of cultural events and activities running throughout the year. The Barn is also only a 10 minute drive from the old county town of Cardigan, which has 2 supermarkets (Tesco and Aldi) and a variety of shops along its pretty and active high street. It's also worth a visit to Theatre Mwldan, which hosts a great selection of films, theatre, comedy and music events. For adventurous types there are a wealth of activities on offer, from sea kayaking and coasteering, to paragliding and surfing. To the south of Newport you can drive to St Davids the smallest city in the UK and visit the Cathedral, perhaps do some surfing at Whitesands beach and explore further down the coast past Newgale beach, which also has beautiful windswept beaches and coves. Visitors to the area are often struck by something else that is rarely mentioned in the tourist brochures, and that is the warmth and diversity of the local people and the extended community who have come here from afar. There are all sorts of people who have visited the area and haven’t left because they loved it so much! We live in a very welcoming and interesting community and we all hope you'll enjoy your stay here.
