A spacious home by the water. We celebrated Thanksgiving at this location and it was very special. The views are beautiful, had a fire right by the water and relaxed by the beach. A perfect getaway with family and friends. It has everything you need, the living room is super comfortable and great to relax with the family. The kitchen was spacious making it easy to cook and entertain the family. We loved the hot tub, playing pool and having family dinner. Overall a fabulous experience!! Great host- great communication. Highly recommend

We had 6 people for a weekend retreat and this was a fantastic house and location for us. the host was super communacitive and easy/friendly to work with. We'll go back for sure next time we need a retreat space that is quiet, private and affordable.

We had a wonderful long weekend away. The views were amazing. The home is well equipped. We had a lot of fun exploring the area, hiking on trails, banks of the Chesapeake and taking out the kayaks. It was a very relaxing and much needed getaway!

This air b&b is in a beautiful setting with plenty to do (kayaking, hot tub, fire pits, bird watching, etc). It's also very centrally located so we could easily get to more populated areas in no time. The most stunning part of the house is the master suite in my opinion which is on the upper level (the upper level is shared with another apartment, but you don't really hear the air b&b tenants of this suite and it's completely separate with a separate entrance). Stunning views from both the master bedroom and the bath tub in the master suite! The downstairs is also quite lovely with two regular bedrooms, one small bedroom, and a sun room that has a pull out couch (we didn't use it). It's a lovely house to entertain in. It has personal photographs to the owner downstairs that speak to the family's history. The owner is communicative. The overall experience was quite lovely. We'd be happy to return.

This house is perfect for large groups. It is very spacious, with plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the dock taking in the serene natural beauty of the Creek and observing the local birdlife, including Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, and Bald Eagles. The house is situated very near to the entrance of Lookout Point State Park which we greatly enjoyed exploring on bicycles. Seeing a large wedge of Tundra Swans fly overhead was a special moment. If you want to spend some time relaxing in a beautiful setting in a beautiful and very interesting area with a large group, this house will serve you well.

The house was absolutely lovely and perfect for a weekend getaway with family. The home had everything we could possibly need and we felt right at home. The water pressure was a little light, but that's literally the only thing I could have wished for. Will definitely stay again!

Joyce has done a phenomenal job with this lake house. Everything has been thought through. The house actually looks even better than the pictures. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decor. And it is super clean. The kitchen is fully stacked with everything you would need ant home or away. Ample seasoned fire wood and starter sticks makes using their MASSIVE fire pit a breeze. The best part is she gives you access to both of their docks and you will not have to take your boat or kayak out of the water once. We kayak fished Johnson’s and Lacey’s with ease from her house. 100% coming back to stay again.

As serene as it gets (except Wednesday is the mowing day, but didn’t bother us). Renee is super responsive, which helped a lot. The place is clean and very relaxing, it is remote though, any big city you want to drive to is 1.5-2hr drive. Had fun fishing from the dock, so many catfish there, anyone can catch. Friendly neighbors. Water is on the soft side. Fridge and cupboard had spices and condiments, and a water filter, which was a big plus. Pots and pans need replacing, that’s probably the only negative. Would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks Renee and Ed!

We loved our stay at Janet’s place! She was incredibly easy to communicate with, and the house was absolutely perfect—comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. We especially enjoyed being nestled into Ewell, with convenient access to the water, shops, food, and golf cart rentals. It made for a truly relaxing and memorable getaway.

What a beautiful off the beaten path place to stay. You are within walking distance of restaurants, coffee, and grocery. But feel like you’re miles away. That’s the effect the cabin has on you. There is a beautiful waterfront that you can enjoy from just about every area of the home. Jim was more than helpful. He really went above and beyond over most host. We would definitely Stay again. It’s the perfect spot if you need to relax.

This was our second stay with Bob and Lolly in Tall Timbers, and it did not disappoint! Immersed in books and history, this quaint cottage was the perfect getaway. We are looking forward to our next visit!

This small cottage had what I was looking for in a quiet retreat for a long weekend. I particularly enjoyed the sun room, deck and views of the river. Lots of birds to listen to all day long and stars to view at night. Great river access and I appreciated the kayaks, I highly recommend taking one out on a calm morning! The only drawback was needing to drive a ways to get food or groceries, but Linda did mention that beforehand so good to plan ahead.

I wish I could have stayed longer! The house was beautiful with so many thoughtful touches. Andrew’s place was clean, spacious, and had the most gorgeous views of the water. The highlight of our stay was the outdoor spaces! We loved eating outside on the spacious deck, drinking morning coffee on the lounge chairs, and going for multiple paddles in the provided kayaks and paddle boards. I hope to book again soon!

I am running a program out of this home all year long and we have 4 retreats at the property which I'll write a review for each time we stay. We got to experience the season of winter in January complete with a beautiful snowfall the last day of our trip. This time, we got to experience the spring...the season of rebirth. I am grateful for everything the home and land provided to us during this last experience. The home feels like our home while we are there and it has everything we need. Thank you so much!

This was our first trip as a family of 3. We took our 5 month old to this place and it was fantastic. It was peaceful and quite by the lake and the hot tub was great relaxing time. The management company was responsive throughout our entire stay. Location was great as it was located just a short drive to locate wineries/breweries/restaurants. We really enjoyed out 3 night 4 day stay out in nature!

What an unforgettable getaway! This charming cabin is perfectly situated right on the river, offering breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. We were thrilled to find kayaks and a canoe available for our use, making it easy to explore the beautiful surroundings. The fire pit area was a delightful spot to gather in the evenings, and having both gas and charcoal grills made cooking meals a pleasure. We spent our days fishing and relaxing in the hot tub, which was a wonderful way to unwind after our adventures. The cabin's kitchen was impressively equipped with all the utensils and appliances we could possibly need. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The cozy fireplace added a warm ambiance to our evenings, creating the perfect setting to reflect on our day filled with activities. This place truly is a hidden gem! Book now!

Just got home from our little get away. The cabin was wonderful! Had everything we wanted. The view waking up to from the bedroom window was breathtaking. The kitchen had everything you could need and the view from that huge picture window was beautiful! We enjoyed the large hot tub and made good use of the pool table. The weather wasn't the best and got a little chilly but the fireplace helped with that. This weekend was exactly what we needed....Beauty, relaxation and peace! Thanks Mark!

A fair and open spaced home. Free of clutter. Many updated electronics I didn't expect. Only drawback was the microwave. It had a lagging door switch that locked when it was ready. If your impatience, it would test your nerves. A shower that was plenty hot and spacious. Loved the size of the home and location, I want to rent this again.

We have enjoyed the “Lighthouse Cove” on our wedding anniversary with our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids for several years. It has always been a great experience and the grandkids (ages six. seven, and 21 months) absolutely love being there. The property is very well kept. I just simply can’t say enough to describe this beautiful house and its location. I’m a chef so I can’t speak to the local restaurants other than there are many choices. Being a chef, you will find almost everything you will need to prepare your meals on site…..and I love that!! Ms Deb and me highly recommend the “Lighthouse Cove” and hope to return for many years! The location couldn’t have been better, with the river right in front of the house, making for a truly relaxing experience. The master bedroom’s balcony overlooking the river was the perfect spot to unwind. On top of that, the host was super friendly and always available.
