We are thrilled to host guests at the newly renovated Water's Edge Cottage -- a serene oasis offering what may be the best views on the Potomac. The rural charm of St. Mary’s County is among Maryland’s best kept secrets -- 90 minutes but a world away from Washington DC (with no Bay Bridge traffic!). We are near historic Leonardtown, boasting one of Maryland’s few remaining town squares (we affectionately call it “Mayberry”). And be sure to visit our sister property, White Point Cottage!

The Cottage

Need some time to refresh? Spending time in the foothills of the Skyline Drive at our cozy cottage may be for you. Well behaved dogs are welcome but not on furniture. The driveway is long and home is very secluded. Winter access will be subject to weather conditions. Driveway does not get plowed and gets rutty during rainy periods. Cell service is spotty on Browntown road. The cottage has a landline and wifi. Use your wifi calling feature for cell phone use. More info under photos.

The Forge on Sunnyside Farm

Sunnyside Farm offers a luxurious stay in a beautifully restored historic forge. You’ll be greeted by the farm’s delightful hosts, Jimmy and Dean, two friendly Potbelly pigs. Beautiful cows forage right outside your door. The Forge features exposed wooden beams, brick walls, and cozy furnishings. The interior is designed with plush bedding, a fully equipped kitchen, and spacious living reminiscent of yesteryear. Breweries, wineries and famous antique stores nearby offer entertainment.

Charming Cottage On Horse Farm Middleburg Area

The cottage is set on a beautiful private farm in the center of historic Aldie, Va. and 5 minutes to historic Middleburg. The cottage is surrounded by 11.11 privately fenced acres and is in a very cute setting with a shower and bathroom downstairs along with a kitchen and bedroom upstairs with one queen bed. The apartment accommodates 2 easily with table and chairs inside and on the porch for your comfort. Great opportunity to experience and relax on a small farm in hunt country.
