Ideally situated in Newton Stewart, a small market town on the banks of the River Cree, Gateway to.the Galloway forest and Dark skies. The Old School House is a listed building that’s brimming with history. This spacious, four-bedroom holiday home now features sumptuous furnishings and an 8-person hot tub overlooking the gardens. The house can accommodate up to eight adults comfortably, and is a firm favourite with hill walkers and mountain bikers because of its proximity to Galloway Forest Park

The house is very light and airy with plenty of space for large family get togethers, with each bedroom having their own bath or shower room. Portpatrick beach is just a short stroll from the house. The owner is close by and is always happy to answer any questions or call in if needed

Charming Galloway cottage - beaches & walks nearby

Burnside is a cosy, secluded bolthole and perfect base to explore old Galloway. Built in the 1850s, our family restored the bungalow in 1970 and we've been visiting since. The cottage sits in a tranquil valley, a mile from the sea. It'll be just you, the wildlife and the view, within easy reach of beaches, rocky coves, and hills. The house is in an enclosed half-acre site. It sleeps five in double, twin and single bedrooms. The kitchen/living room are open plan with log burning stove and WiFi.

Seaside home-from-home, tucked away at the back of the village, 7 minutes walk from the sea. (Longer on the way back uphill!) Portpatrick has a Post Office, bakery, cafe, bars, gift shops and restaurants. (Limited food shopping.) Hide away, walk the cliffs and glen, swim, golf, putt, fish, cycle. The Bullpen is situated in quiet open countryside one mile from Stranraer. The property has just recently been completed and was part of the original farm buildings. Private Hot Tub. It is all on one floor and has an open plan kitchen/dining/lounge, super king size or twin bedroom and bathroom with separate shower. Close to golf courses and gardens. Also great for walking and cycling. Many attractions in the area include Logan Botanic Gardens, Wigtown Book Town and Mull of Galloway.

Portpatrick is a beautiful small coastal town, it has lots of friendly pubs and walks with beautiful views.
