The Black River Cozy Cabin is perfect for family vacations or a romantic get-away. With a secluded lake out the back door and two fire pits for roasting marshmallows and hot dogs, there are plenty of outdoor activities without even leaving the property. Of course, there is always more to explore in the area as well; including the Black River, which is just a short hike away.

This is our family cabin. Our family farms soybeans, rice, and corn. We are too busy working during spring, summer, and some of fall to enjoy our cabin much. We are wanting to share our beautiful place for others to enjoy. It is located approximately 10 minutes from Poplar Bluff, MO. We live about 30 minutes away, so we can be available if needed. We have satellite TV and wi-fi. Cabin is pretty secluded nestled among the trees with the Black River flowing within 100 feet of the deck.

The Lone Writer's Nook

The Lone Writer's Nook is centered in untouched nature. This rustic cabin with 1950's decor and plentiful wood will create that calming effect we so often desire. The kids can play in the recreation center and arcade, swimming pool, children’s playground, play horseshoes or ping-pong, or just wade in the spring-fed creek and catch crawdads. If you feel adventurous, clear your mind with an exhilarating jolt from jumping into shockingly cold water in the spring-fed lake just yards away.
