Our summerhouse is situated on a small island, Oroe, in Isefjord. It sits on a bluff, almost at the end of a gravel road, with direct access to the fjord from the house. We provide Danish traditional summer house-hygge in natural surroundings with a twist of modern facilities. The house is our private home, open for guests only 10-12 times a year. (=The original idea behind AirBnB) In general, we attempt to be as sustainable as possible i.e we always try to repair rather than to replace.

Brændeovnen er hovedkilde til opvarmning, der er el-varme på badeværelse lidt gulvvarme som er tændt når strømmen er billig. Haven ligger helt ugeneret med plads til spil, sport og leg.

Newly renovated, classic, cozy and stylish summerhouse only 1 hour from Copenhagen. Situated on a beautiful island with over 50 seven-min ferry passings per day. Great for a restful break for families with kids. The house is just a 2 minute walk from the water, surrounded by walking paths, and just a short car or bicycle ride from all the sites and activities the island has to offer. It has 3 patios, so you are sure to find a spot in the sun while the kids play in the garden.

Idyllic former farmhouse in Danish countryside

The house is a traditonal Danish countryside house, 20 km from Roskilde. Here you can enjoy the Danish “hygge”, with peace and nature that you’ll find nowhere else. Relax on the terrasse in the garden, walk in the woods or to Gershøj beach. Go biking on the “fjordsti” which follows Roskilde and Ise fjord, just 1.5 km from the house. Bikes can be borrowed here for free. In winter, you can make a fire. Breakfast and dinner can be arranged upon request and against fees.

Orø byder i sæsonen på en række cafeer og restauranter, en hyggelig minizoo, legeplads og børnevenlig strand. Sommerhuset ligger i kanten af en lille fredskov med fugle og rådyr. Stor græsplæne, omgivet af træer. God at lege og spille bold på. Der er en solterrasse med skønne solsenge og en overdækket terrasse, der giver plads hyggeaktiviteter. Fra huset er der 5 min. til vandet til fods til egen strand og 5 min. i bil til Orøs bedste og børnevenlige badestrand.

Our basement offers a comfortable stay in a quiet residential area. You'll have everything you need for a short stay, incl. a sofa bed, a work desk, and a bathroom. We’re just a 10-minute walk to Herlev station and a 20-minute train ride to downtown Copenhagen. With free parking and an EV charger available, this is a great spot for both business and leisure travelers. Please note, you may hear footsteps and water drains from upstairs. We also have a cat.
