Minutes’ drive from Orford, and less than two hours’ drive to Freycinet National Park, with plenty of beautiful scenery and wineries along the way.

The local playground, supermarket and cafes are a pleasant 10 minute walk away. Orford is the gateway to the sunny East Coast of Tasmania. Day trips can be made to Swansea, Coles Bay and Bicheno, enjoying the spectacular scenery and wineries along the way. A ferry to Maria Island can be found in Triabunna, a quick 10 minute drive from Orford.

You instantly feel “at home” at the blackshack. Please Note: Our very last booking weekend will be the 5th June 2026 to allow us to prepare for the sale of our Airbnb/home. Hopefully we can sell as an ongoing business so that you can all still enjoy this amazing space
