New Haven County: pousadas

What a treat! I grew up in Madison and didn’t realize this amazing bed and breakfast was right under my nose! Michael was incredibly friendly and helpful and the space was fantastic. I will absolutely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful space, central location and delicious breakfast!

Linda's house is an oasis of tranquillity and good taste at the north fringe of Yale's campus in stately and historic Prospect Hill. This expansive, immaculately maintained home with a small number of guest rooms offers an excellent perch for leisure or work visits to the University, or around New Haven -- close to everything, yet at one beat's remove with privacy, greenery, and quiet. Linda and her spouse were unusually gracious, considerate, and involved hosts. One truly feels like a family guest in their home. Linda is among other things a true expert on the selection and preparation of tea, and all interested in tea culture will find a great deal of interest in learning from her. I had an extremely restful and pleasant stay, and look forward to future visits. A top AirBnB -- highly recommended to all!

Claudia’s place feels off the grid but is only 5 mins from restaurants and hiking, shopping etc are all available 15-30 mins. I didn’t use the hot tub, but the jacuzzi tub was lovely on a rainy cool day. The fire in the living room fireplace and breakfast was a nice touch. I was traveling solo and really wanted privacy and alone time and Claudia was there just enough without imposing.

I loved the house with skylights very much. On top of beautifully decorated interior, there were many thoughtful amenities that made longer stays very comfortable. I’d love to come back. Thanks!

Sue’s place was perfectly located to where I needed to be for a short stay over. It was typical NE cool styling. We had a few conversations and she was very nice and helpful. Everything was laid out for easy understanding. I would definitely stay here again. Jim

Remy was always responsive to our questions and requests, and regularly checked in to see how we were doing. The location is excellent and very safe. It’s especially convenient for anyone visiting Yale, as you can easily reach any of the campuses from the nearby bus stop. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance.😊

Wonderful experience, I have never been in such a good Airbnb before, wonderful cleanliness, privacy, she was very friendly and showed me the tourist places, every time I return to Bridgeport I will return with her, I highly recommend her.
