We had a large group stay for 2 nights, and found that the communal spaces worked really well. We appreciated having enough space for people to sit and eat together, with a separate lounge area that was similarly big enough for everyone to comfortably gather. The beds were comfortable, and the flexibility of the layout was appreciated. We had a nice meal out that was only 10mins drive away, and enjoyed the nice walks in the area. Communication from the host was responsive. There is only one small parking space at the property but there was plenty of on-street parking within close proximity.

Angela's Mallard Cottage is spectacular! A four-storey beautiful, welcoming house that provided everything we needed for a special birthday celebration. We had ample space with the choice of comfortable bedrooms, the relaxing living room, a well-stocked kitchen space, and ambient garden with hot tub and bird song overlooking the trees and sunny skies. We couldn't have wanted for more! We loved the duck themed decor and the little touches everywhere to welcome us - the generous basket of food and drinks, a birthday card and chocolates, dressing gowns and slippers. What made it extra sweet was the fact we had our previously booked property cancelled at short notice that morning and so Angela and her team pulled out all of the stops to get the cottage prepared for us in a few hours. It saved the day and meant we'll always have beautiful memories of the weekend spent with old friends, in the cottage and the surrounding hillside walks.

The college condition and feel is a real credit to the hard work Angela and staff put in. It feels like you’re at home from the moment you walk through the door and the views a just breathtaking. The bath towels feel amazing and the cottage is very well stocked with everything you need in the way of equipment and also of a very good quality. We were lucky enough to have some very fine weather and completed some great local walks and running routes. There wasn’t one thing that I could fault with this whole experience and can’t wait to book again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Farmhouse - the postcode took us to the farm, but the cottages were close by and easy to find. The kitchen was very well stocked with crockery and there was plenty of space for 10. The kids loved the swimming pool and football field. Highly recommended.

The house was absolutely incredible and excellent value for money. It was in stunning surroundings, the hot tub was amazing and the exclusive booking system for use of the pool was a lovely addition. The house was spotless and full of character and the private garden was also wonderful. The beds were really comfortable and there was just the right balance of charm, space and comfort. We definitely struck gold when booking this gem. Thanks so much for all of your support in making this a trip to remember!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The space is great and as an extra bonus, you get to use a heated pool and brilliant games room. We went early Jan and there was loads of snow, as well as pretty cold temperatures, but the house warmed up very quickly and we were always more than comfortable. The property is close enough to Bakewell for a short drive or taxi ride, should you want to venture into town. We're thinking about going back in the summer.

What a wonderful stay at Manor Farm. The house was beautiful, well maintained, extremely spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding countryside was stunning, with great food being served in nearby pubs and plenty of places to visit. Great space for youngsters too, with the wildlife - baby rabbits, sheep and birds and of course the swimming pool and games room, all of which they loved. Thanks to the hosts for their welcome and hospitable atmosphere.

Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.

This is a beautiful, spacious cottage with everything you could need for a few days away. We all enjoyed relaxing at the cottage in between trips out, the upstairs living space has lovely views and ample space for family meals, cosy reading corners and lots of streaming services to log into. There’s a lovely pub next door that does stone fired pizzas, shops within walking distance and dog walks accessible from the door. The Rivelin valley walks are a few minutes drive away and are great for couples, families and dogs. Sheffield is accessible within 15 mins in the car, great food halls, craft beer places, cute brunch spots and much more. The Peak District for walking and visiting cute villages, outdoor pools and caverns is also within 15-30 minutes. A great place to stay and so much space

Emma’s house had everything we needed for an enjoyable week stay. Comfortable bed and furniture and everything was very clean. The area was very quiet and just a short walk to the town centre and there was always plenty of parking in the street, the parking permit was a real bonus. Happy to recommend Emma’s place and would stay again.

A perfect place for our family get together & to use a quote from our son ‘What a find!’ From booking to departure we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our host Penny was wonderful - great communication throughout, rapid responses to any messages, really flexible on check in/out times to help with having a young child with us. On arrival Penny met & showed us round personally. She was so warm & friendly we felt immediately at home. There were lovely thoughtful touches such a home baked cake, scones & croissants. Highfield House is absolutely lovely, set in gorgeous gardens & woodland. We were able to use the whole garden which included a play area perfect for our granddaughter. Beautifully furnished & with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Fixtures, fittings, linens & towels were great quality. The drawing room was particularly lovely. Penny organised a hot tub for us & this was a real plus. A fantastic, relaxing few days. Thanks for everything Penny!

The house is small with steep stairs, exactly as described. Perfect for two people! It was also extremely clean. Despite being close to a very busy main road, it was surprisingly quiet and parking on road outside the front door was a definite bonus. Rachel is very helpful, responding quickly to any queries and when I mentioned we are vegetarian, she immediately provided a veggie breakfast option. Indeed, all the food provided was high quality and much appreciated. Half an hour walk into the centre of Sheffield but tram stop 5 minutes away, as is a shopping centre with supermarket. It is therefore ideally situated. Would thoroughly recommend staying here and will hope to stay again next time we're in Sheffield.

Tai and Amy’s place was really lovely their place was extremely relaxing and had everything we wanted, They were amazing at communicating with us and was always on hand when we wanted them. Would highly recommend this place Thanks again 😊

My family and I have just returned from a lovely stay at Lynwood House. Lynwood House was clean and modern while retaining period features, it had everything we needed to feel at home. It was an easy walk to all the local amenities and some great walks from the doorstep. Communication was great too. We would highly recommend this wonderful House and would return in a flash.

Brilliant value for a group of us including four teenagers for a football match in Mansfield. Good location (10 minutes walk to town and 15 minutes to the football ground) and plenty of take aways/shops nearby. Plenty of space in the house and big fridge/freezer etc and due to the size of the group, it was a real bonus to have 3 bathrooms/showers. Also, parking was good as we travelled in four separate cars and a quiet area as the house is located across from a primary school so very little noise at night. Definitely would book again but hoping not to if we get promoted😀

As a large group of 24 people this accommodation was the perfect set-up. The surroundings are beautiful and a very convenient distance from Sheffield city centre. Debbie was an excellent host - very responsive and friendly and thoroughly helpful in helping with the logistical arrangements with a large group (for example helping with taxi’s or offering their minibus service) which was massively appreciated. It was wonderful to learn about how revenue from this accommodation is reinvested into charitable activities for getting young people involved in outdoor pursuit activities.

We had a fabulous stay in this beautiful property. It was spotlessly clean, spacious, and comfortable and the views are just stunning. It has everything you could possibly need to feel right at home with lots of extra little touches which made our stay all the more comfortable. Communications with Peter and Louise were easy and friendly and we felt warmly welcomed. Would love to return!

We stayed in the Manor for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our relations from Australia. We had a fantastic stay! The rooms were a perfect size and could fit us all in for games and entertaining ourselves, the kitchen was fully stocked with all the crockery and glassware we needed, the children loved the games room and the hot tub and the house was beautifully adorned with Christmas decorations. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this characterful house.

We had a lovely few days and can’t fault the house. Lovely and clean and very comfortable throughout. Lisa was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend it!
