On the door step of the Cowichan Valley (aka The Warm Land, because it boasts Canada warmest year-round temperatures) and Central Vancouver Island, close to Brentwood Bay College, Shawnigan Lake, the Gulf Islands, and 45 mins to downtown Victoria or 1 hour to downtown Nanaimo.

With your own detached bathroom and kitchen about 30m from the Cedar Hut, this can be your cozy, heated one room glamping experience. A private spot on our little farm. We are settled on 9.5 acres which you are Welcome to roam. Farm dogs Klaus (Bernese/Aussie) and Pinkie (Dachsi) are friendly and keep busy with roaming the property. Our horses are your neighbors and you will most likely find us in the garden. Enjoy the tranquility and privacy of your getaway to relax. Two bicycles provided.

Brentwood College, Shawnigan Lake School, Frances Kelsey School, and Kerry Park Arena nearby. 30 minutes to Victoria and 20 to Duncan. Parking, bus route, and taxi.

Mill Bay Retreat

A quiet rural setting, but close to everything you need: biking trails, kayaking, paddle-boarding, wineries, golf, tennis, and of course...restaurants and shops. Also close to Shawnigan Lake School, Brentwood College and St. John's Academy. Extensive back lawn area for badminton, bocce ball or croquet...or just hanging out. One queen bed, but also a very comfy leather couch that can be used for a third person, best suited for a teen or adult. The suite is not setup for small children.

A tiny home built from a mixture of clay and straw with a living roof and masonry woodstove, the Wobbly Hobbit is perfect for those looking for a quiet getaway in the beautiful Cowichan Valley. Trails through the surrounding rain forest are steps away with renowned wineries and other attractions in the immediate area. Victoria is 45 minute drive or bus trip away.

Coastal Garden Inn

The guest suite features a private entrance with a bed, small kitchen and a bathroom in the first room. A small bedroom next to it can be used for more sleeping space, and the den next to it features a woodstove and 2 more sofa beds. There is a second bathroom off the den that also serves as a changing room. There is a covered patio with a BBQ, a fire pit, a hot tub, sauna, and a shower/steam room outside. The yard is very private so you can enjoy yourselves at all hours.

The location is perfect for those who want to have a place to relax after exploring the local vineyards, farmers’ markets, parks, beaches and walking trails. The cottage’s style mimics that of the main house, which is about 60 feet away from the cottage. We respect your privacy, and will leave you to yourselves. We love meeting new people and are LGBTQ+ friendly!
