Heavenly Waterside Sussex Barn

Tack Barn is our super stylish and sustainable holiday cottage here at Upper Lodge near Lewes - a very special place to stay. Tucked into a private woodland overlooking the pond and countryside, we've kitted it out with products and art from local makers. Ideally located for Lewes, the iconic Seven Sisters Cliffs and South Downs. Hop into the hammock and sit by a glowing fire-pit in the summer, or snuggle up in front of the wood-burner in the winter - the Tack Barn is special all year round.

The Bothy

Cosy bespoke cabin set on the edge of woodland. Nicely secluded without being completely off the beaten track. The ideal getaway for a romantic break, some country magic - nights by the fire and local woodland walks. Snuggle up with a blanket around the fire pit during the summer months, or relax inside by the wood-burner with a good book. WiFi is also available. However, please note that due to the location through the woods, access isn’t suitable for all age groups. N.B The path is unlit.

Wilderness Wagon - Gypsy Wagon in Sussex

Wilderness Wagon is a bow top gypsy wagon which is located in Lindfield Rural. The wagon is located in the bottom corner of our acre garden. Guests enjoy their own private gated haven with the most incredible view of the wild field that adjoins our property. The outdoor area offers cooking amenities and an al fresco dining space. Shower facilities and toilet are next to the wagon. We have some of the most beautiful walks in the area and some cracking local pubs Follow us @wilderness_wagon

Comfy and cosy hut in stunning private location

The shepherd's hut is located in a private and peaceful spot on our smallholding, on the outskirts of the South Downs National Park. The hut has great amenities and is heated. It has great access to footpaths and local shops and pubs. We are fortunate enough to have some wonderful wildlife here, including deer, birds of prey and woodpeckers. As well as our rare breed sheep and pigs. Issy is a land agent and Geoff is a tree surgeon, so we have a keen interest in nature and the environment.

Enjoy a stay in the heart of the South Downs surrounded by nature. Whether you want a break away from the rush of everyday life, or a peaceful place to work from. Our cosy container is a beautiful sun trap, attached to our family racing yard. You’re in the perfect location for business or pleasure. footpaths a short walk away. The bottom of the downs a five minute drive and a handful of pubs all within a 5mile radius. Plumpton station a 2 minute drive you can be in London within the hour.

The Hideout - in the heart of Ashdown Forest

The Hideout is located down a private drive, well off the road and right on Ashdown Forest. We are a five minute walk from Gills Lap which is a central walking hub on the forest. Dogs are welcome and there is a secure, enclosed courtyard garden. You can walk for miles from the gate and we provide maps and walking suggestions. Forest Row, a ten minute drive, provides good shops, restaurants and cafes. There is a great local pub, The Hatch Inn, which is walkable during daylight hours.

Cabin in the Woods

Self-contained oak cabin with double bed, shower and kitchenette. Tucked in amongst the trees on the edge of woodland at the back of our semi-rural property, the cabin has a private deck area with views across the neighbour's field where sheep and horses graze. You may also see deer and rabbits and be serenaded by tawny owls in the evening. Good WiFi. Walking distance of the South of England showground, Wakehurst Place, local pubs and close to Ardingly College. Breakfast included.

Orchard Garden Cabin

We are in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is a decking area around the cabin with a fire pit plus table and chairs for dining alfresco or just enjoy the fresh air. We are surrounded by fields located about 1 mile from the village and pubs. You can head out for a county walk right from the door step. Several National trust properties in the area. As of May 2025, we have extended the drive way to make parking easier. Guests have space for one car to park on the driveway.

Red Kite Barn, a luxury romantic getaway, hot tub

Red Kite Barn is a charming luxury rural retreat in a recently converted oak framed barn – providing a slice of country living on modern terms. Red Kite Barn occupies a beautiful setting in the heart of the Sussex countryside in both the High Weald and an AONB. With little luxuries like under floor heating, goose down bedding and a cast iron wood burner together with a wood fired hot tub, fire pit and BBQ all within a private garden, Kite Barn is the perfect romantic getaway.

Idyllically situated down a quiet, magical lane, our oak-framed barn is surrounded by hills and woodland, with stunning views on all sides. There is instant access to beautiful countryside footpaths and bridleways. We are walking distance from a pub with a garden and good home-cooked food. Just an hour from London by train and 10 minutes drive from buzzy, cosmopolitan Brighton, we're also close to lots of pretty villages, lovely beaches, beautiful historic houses and gardens.

Spacious Boutique Style Annexe

This newly renovated stylish Annexe is attached to our home in the hamlet of Ansty, a stones throw to the picturesque village of Cuckfield with its four pubs, independent boutiques and award winning Ockenden Manor and Spa. The location provides a perfect base to enjoy the many NT properties such as Nymans and Sheffield Park as well as Wakehurst Place and the Prairie Gardens. There are also many vineyards in the surrounding area particulary Ridgeview and Bolney Estate.

The Potting Shed, 2 bed cosy countryside retreat

The Potting Shed is a family-run luxury guest house in a newly converted outbuilding (old potting shed!) offering guests a fusion of traditional country life with the comforts of all the mod-cons.
