Edge of the Wild - Guest House @ R Farm

1100sf, single story guest house that's a couple minutes from the town of Rifle, yet backs up to vast open space. Sheltered from view of the highway by trees, boasts tremendous sunsets over the Roan Cliffs, and views of the Hogbacks and Mamm Peak. "R Farm" is a developing farm w/ sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, dogs, and cats. The guest house is adjacent to our family home and near the barn. Abundant opportunities for local outdoor enthusiasts exist or simply stay and enjoy the abundance.

We are close to all that is Colorado; gold medal Trout streams, whitewater rafting, biking paths to Aspen and Vail, hiking to mountain lakes and waterfalls, soaking in the outdoor hot springs pools, hot air ballooning, hang gliding, skiing-both local at Sunlight Mountain, or Snowmass/Aspen/Vail/Breckenridge, golfing, breweries, dispensaries, and live music at outdoor restaurants under the bridge! So whether you plan on nestling for a weekend getaway or need a cozy hub to come back to after a day of Colorado adventure, You will feel right at home. Located near Rifle Mountain Park, Rifle Falls, Rifle arch, Glenwood hot springs pool, Sunlight mountain resort, Whitewater rafting, Glenwood caverns and more!

We have Mitchell Creek Trail out the front door, and plenty of other area hiking and biking trails within 30 min. After hiking or skiing Sunlight Ski Area (30 min), head Downtown for dinner and a soak at the Hot Springs (10 min). In the summer, make the most of your trip and enjoy a float on the river or visit Glenwood Caverns. NOTE: We do not have cell service and have limited WIFI. See add’l details.

Meeker's location in one of the most remote areas of Colorado makes it a perfect home base for heading to the surrounding public lands including the Flat Tops Wilderness and White River. It’s also a destination for the Sheepdog Trials and Mustang Makeover.
