What a stunning little cottage. Great space for me, hubby and our dog. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and more. It was very comfortable and cosy and the attention to detail is amazing. The welcome basket was an added bonus and very much appreciated. It was just a 5 minute walk into the centre of Bedale and it has everything you need.

Absolutely loved our long weekend break at Terri's cottage. It was everything we needed it to be for relaxation and local walks. Cottage was really cosy and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and the space worked perfectly for us as a family of 4 with 2 dogs. The lovely enclosed back garden meant we didn't have to worry about the dogs. Everyone slept really well due to comfy beds and quality bed linen. Definitely would recommend this cottage and hope to visit again as didn't manage to do all the walks we would have liked to.

Wow what a beautiful little find. The surroundings are just as beautiful as the place. Attention to detail with this property, felt like home from home. We enjoyed the real fire, the bedding was lush and the bath was to die for 🥰

Really enjoyed the stay in Hawes. Lovely spot within easy walking distance of the village. The cottage was spacious and clean with everything we needed. The countryside around is unbeatable - we did a couple of great walks. Would recommend without hesitation.

We wanted a clean, comfortable base for us and our dog to have a few days walking and eating out in local pubs Neil’s place place was perfect for us, set in a stunning location, walks from the door, quiet and peaceful with plenty of space and home comforts The bottom line is that we would go back!

Lovely, clean, spacious lodge in a lovely setting with a perfectly placed hot tub. The lodge meet all our requirements. Plenty of storage space, extra bedding provided and all the essentials. Highly recommended.

Another letter cancelled our booking on the day of our stay which had been booked for over 2 months. Not ideal when you have 5 people travelling 240 miles that morning to spend long weekend in Newcastle to attend a gig. Colin was able to accommodate us at his property and the previous cancellation was a blessing in the end! Colin's communication when booking and throughout the stay was excellent, helpful and proactive. The property is in a lovely area and was much better than the original property we had booked. Nothing negative to say about Colin or the property.....highly recommended for anyone needing accomodation in the area.

After the taxi dropping us off at the wrong place Melanie was very quick in answering my call & sending me local taxi details explaining where to go. the house was lovely, easy check in, nice & cosy. Had everything we needed for our short stay. beds were comfy, house was lovely & clean. There was games for the kids.. My favourite part was having a coffee in the garden so peaceful. Will definitely book again. thank you

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we felt at home from the day we arrived. The cottage was perfect for our extended stay (a month) and we will fondly remember our time in the cottage, Frosterley and the Weardale and North Pennines area. Our hosts were very friendly, laid back and made us feel wonderfully relaxed during our stay. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well appointed and ideal for our needs. We would definitely recommend River View Cottage and the other accommodation in the courtyard to family and friends and we would definitely consider returning in the future for another break.
