Large spacious rooms, plenty of seating inside and outside. House decks and boat deck were fabulous and we tried to enjoy every spot, weather permitting. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable furniture. Scenery was beautiful and location peaceful. This would be a definite do again. Our host, Colby, was attentive when we needed her!

So peaceful and beautiful!! Definitely a great place to have a getaway with friends or family. We had it for a wedding weekend and my bridesmaid and I LOVED it! Cell phone service was a little bit of an issue but we were okay with it since it was a getaway anyways! The host was very quick to reply and so nice. Awesome place to stay!!

Our stay was absolutely delightful! The kids had a fantastic time with the camping fire pit activities and kayaking adventures. The surroundings were peaceful and provided the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. Overall, it was such a pleasant and memorable experience

Amazing cabin, we enjoyed our visit, only issue we had was it was a little hot upstairs, but that is to be expected in Texas! We loved watching the deer all day as well.

This house was so beautiful and very well taken care of. The back porch is perfect for quiet morning coffee with a beautiful view. We had such a wonderful time. Our host was wonderful and took such great care of us and took time out of his busy schedule to make sure we were comfortable and settled in. I highly recommend.

Enjoyed our first trip so much we went back for a second! The cabins and amenities at Old Camp Joy haven’t to disappoint us. The view of the lake is amazing and the entire area is so peaceful, safe, and quiet. The cabin was squeaky clean and Mike was a very nice and attentive host. Highly recommended any of these properties if ever in the Lake O The Pines area!

Came to stay for a little weekend fishing trip. The place was clean and well equipped with thing you need in the kitchen as well as the rest of the house. Very quiet place. Also plenty of covered parking.

The home was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The host’s attention to detail was impressive, from the thoughtful homemade cookies to the clear and timely communication throughout our visit. The location was ideal—close to Barnwell Mountain Recreational Area, yet still peaceful and private. The outdoor seating and fully stocked snacks, truly made it feel like a home away from home. I can’t recommend this place enough and would absolutely stay here again! A big thank you to our wonderful host for making our trip unforgettable.
