We had the most magical stay in this absolutely charming village. The location is a dream—just a few steps from the beach, where we spent our mornings and evenings soaking up the views. The home itself is a total gem—thoughtfully designed, maintained with love, and filled with such a cozy, inviting energy. From the moment we walked in, we felt completely at ease and right at home. And the hosts? Truly the sweetest people ever! They've thought of every little detail to make your stay feel effortless and special. Their kindness, attentiveness, and seamless communication made everything feel smooth and stress-free. We felt genuinely cared for. Everyone in the village was so welcoming and kind too. You don’t need a car to stay here (although it is more convenient). We were able to explore the coast by train. The views from the train were stunning. We can’t recommend this place enough and are already dreaming of our return.

我們這次入住，大家都非常喜歡這裡，覺得更能體驗日本當地的生活！與狗狗們的相處也留下很特別的記憶，我們在客廳時狗狗們都很溫馴的跟我們待在一起，也會跟我們玩，一點也不怕生。屋子裡維持的很乾淨，我甚至可以光腳走在地板上而沒有太多的灰塵。屋子裡很美，花園裡也很漂亮，我們非常享受結束一天的行程之後，在客廳說說笑笑而孩子們跑上跑下玩的時光！非常謝謝你們的招待☺️

บ้านพักใหญ่โต กว้างขวางมาก มีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกครบ โดยเฉพาะครัว ดีมาก มีออนเซ็นให้แช่ภายในบ้านเป็นส่วนตัวดีมาก เหมาะกับการมาเป็นครอบครัว รอบๆมีร้านสะดวกซื้อ และซุปเปอร์มาร์เก็ต ที่นอนนุ่มนอนสบายมาก ถ้ามีโอกาสจะมาพักอีก

An absolutely incredible place, in an incredible location, with an incredible host. I really can’t fault our stay. Emi was always responsive and serviced the house daily during our 3 night stay—didn’t expect this at all. She was responsive when we had questions. She waved us off. She was the cherry on top for our stay. The property itself—wow! Beautifully finished and well-appointed. We used the sauna and the plunge pool a couple of times a day and admired the views and the Sakura out of the window in the sauna. We dined once for lunch at Cafe Sakura, next door to the house. Amazing food and hospitality. The only thing I could say that’s remotely negative about the place—the bed rolls mightn’t be to everyone’s liking, but hey I slept on one of the ‘western’ mattresses and it was very comfy; and the kitchen is tiny which was a little challenging as we chose to stay in and cook some amazing local product but hey, it is ideal for the space and for most people’s needs. 100 out of 5

The view here is breathtaking. If you're looking to get away from the crowds this is the perfect place! My son and I stayed here, we walked the shoreline and found beach glass, shells, driftwood, and bamboo, we loved it so much. The house is so comfortable and large. We had our own bedrooms and bathrooms. There is a large tub with a big window overlooking the bay, it was so relaxing. We cracked the sliding door to hear the waves at night, it was the best. The hosts are amazing people, so kind and thoughtful, they had breakfast food in the refrigerator for us and juice & milk. We ate at a tonkatsu place down the road that was great! If you have a chance to stay here, book it! There are also two ponies on the property that are adorable. We had such a wonderful stay here, thank you for letting us spend the night in your beautiful place.💜🌊 Oh, and the night view of the city across the bay is SO BEAUTIFUL!

This place has the most amazing view! The location is up in the hills overlooking the city. I'd stay somewhere like this over any hotel. The place was super clean, the beds were very comfortable, the room with the rocking chair with giant windows overlooking the bay was my favorite. This place is so unique, the walls are made from coffee beans and leaves, the restaurant downstairs is adorable. The hosts were such lovley people, they made us breakfast in the morning that was so good and they sat and visited with us, we felt at home. This is a great place, if you're looking for a break from the crowds. We rented a car at Beppu Station and it worked out great. Highly recommend staying here!

Put simply, the property is significantly better than the photos. Often this isn’t the case, but it is. Spacious, very clean, light, good quality fixtures and fittings and pots and pans. it is super private and quiet. I had reservations about the shower, nothing odd and works well. The single track road whilst narrow, is OK and was of no concern the several times we used it. With lots of lovely areas to visit nearby, 15 mins to Kushima it’s a good find. Tokiro was easy to liaise with by the App and was responsive and personable.
