We loved this place! Its peaceful with good local walks, a pub just down the road. Tea and coffee and a loaf of bread were provided which was very welome. We'd brought our 2 dogs along, and Soraya had thoughfully left some dog treats out too. Just outside there was a hot tub, which was a real bonus, and a great way to relax after a day out walking.

Lovely few days stay, Hayley was very friendly and helpful. Cottage is stunning, much bigger than the photos show and had everything’s we needed. Beds very comfy and big en-suites in every room (although there was only 2 of us) secure garden for our two miniature dachshunds which was great. Location is very peaceful and quiet. Can recommend lunch at the Cumberland which was about a 10 minute walk away. Would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful cottage. Was perfect for us and the dogs. Fully enclosed fenced garden with a gate down to a quiet riverside walk. The hottub was huge and warm ready for our arrival. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen. We only stayed for 1 night so cannot comment on the local area as we did not do much exploring but we noticed a spar walking distance just down the road and a few cafes.

The location was beautiful and the cottage was beautiful couldn’t have asked for more

We had an amazing, peaceful couple of days and just what we wanted. The place was spotless and beautiful with lovely views. Did the Ingleton Falls walk and to come back to the hot tub was an added bonus to our relaxing time. Would highly recommend!

We loved our mini break at Lorraine's place. The cottage is beautifully decorated throughout and very homely, the garden feels very private, even with houses all around. Addingham is a lovely village with great pubs serving delicious food, it is also perfectly located for exploring West/North Yorkshire. Highly recommend staying here.

We had a really nice stay. The cottage was lovely and well kept with great shower facilities and little touches including a welcome pack of local produce. Sharon came to clean the hot tub each morning with the filter being changed between guests, bbq area (with large disposable BBQ to use, birds singing in a sheltered garden. Bathroom and hot tub towels provided, washing machine and tumble dryer easy to use. The beds were comfy and blackout blinds in all rooms. Beautiful surroundings; able to walk 30 minutes to an ice cream farm with play area or drive 5 minutes to Lowther castle

a fantastic little place with plenty to do in the village or neighbouring towns, lots of lovely little touches made it feel really well thought through and not a "standard air BnB" at all - fresh coffee, different teas, dressing gowns, welcome drinks, and plenty of logs for the log fired hot tub which we took advantage of every night of our stay. Also one of the increasingly rare places with a host confident enough not to leave lots of "please do this don't do this" type notes which helped us feel like we were at home really quickly.

We have just spent a couple of wonderful days walking up penyghent. Moira's cottage was wonderful. Really clean and cosy and stocked with everything we needed. The walk up to pen-y-ghent starts literally right outside the doorstep which is very handy and a comfortable bed is exactly what we needed after the long walk. Thank you Mouira for your hospitality.

My husband and I stayed at Tethera for the long Easter weekend and we loved the cottage. It had everything we needed. Emma really has thought of everything and more. From a binder full of helpful information, well stocked kitchen with some welcome goodies, cozy living room, perfectly fluffy linen to towels for our dog, Yoda. The shower has great water pressure too! We live in London and really liked how peaceful and private it was. Yoda loved all the new scents and the animals around too! We locked ourselves out one day and Emma responded within minutes. We loved the fresh eggs her hens lay and got some back home as well. I would recommend the place to everyone. It’s spotless, extremely comfortable and perfectly placed for all the nice hikes and pretty towns of Lake District to be easily accessible. Perfect cottage with an equally perfect host.

A perfect family cottage and photos don't do it justice, it was really really nice!! Perfect location with fantastic views it doesn't feel like you're 15 minutes away from the madness of Blackpool. We'll return in the future 100%.

A wonderful cottage in a fabulous location. Fizz, fresh bread and homemade jam to greet us. Lovely warm and surprisingly large cottage with a gorgeous view of the ford. Great walks straight from the door with wildlife aplenty (sadly no red squirrels but our host did point us to a hotel where we managed to see them). All in all, a cracking place to stay.

The perfect country cottage in a gorgeous setting. Pheasants, rabbits and beautiful fairy lights in the secluded courtyard for a relaxing evening. Well equipped kitchen with a lovely selection of herbal teas, comfy beds and although we didn't need the log burner, it promises a cosy feel on cooler nights. Helen is a fab host and we will definitely be back .

Really wonderful stay at Helen’s cottage with friends. The cottage is bright and warm and the view is beautiful. Helen responded super quickly to messages and gave very detailed instructions on getting to the cottage and places to park. The beds were really comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Emma's place. The secure garden was great for our dog to roam whilst we relaxed in the hot tub at the end of the day following plenty of walking around the Lakes. The cottage itself has loads of character but everything you need for your stay. We were fortunate to have the weather to make use of the gas BBQ. Emma was very welcoming and chilled with the fact we had a good run up and arrived half an hour before check-in time. Nothing was too much trouble and the fresh eggs were delicious! The cottage is just a 10 minute drive from Windermere, (20 minutes to Ambleside, 30 minutes to Grizedale forest), so whilst it's not in the throng of all us tourists, we benefited from the peace and quiet when we wanted it, but nothing was too far away. We'd also highly recommend the fish and chip shop in Staveley, just a 4 minute drive down the road. Hopefully we'll be back!

Highly recommend Fell Cottage. We have had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous house with our kids and dog. We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and benefitted from Lyn’s recommendations. Lyn was quick to respond to questions and really kind. Thank you very much, we would love to book again

Catherine is an excellent host, great communication and keen that everything is ok, quick response to queries raised. lovely welcome touch, of milk, cereal, bread, pastries, fruit juice jam, butter and apples and a supply of tea and coffee. Lovely compact cottage with a good kitchen, with a dishwasher and microwave. peaceful and quiet, away from everything but only a short drive in to Kendal

We had the most enjoyable experience staying at Sara’s beautiful & cosy cottage. It was in the perfect location with easy walking distance into Town and only a short drive to Windermere & Ambleside. Peaceful cottage in a central location. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided by the host and Sara was available to answer our questions promptly. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay and for the biscuits and mint chocs too. My daughter loved it too x

Great property, very causy, just what we needed. Bathroom and kitchen stunning. Both hosts were very communicative, when we arrived we found basket with coffe/tea and some chocolate biscuits which was a nice touch. Thank you for your hospitality

Perfect spot for long weekend , cosy & comfortable accommodation and food in the adjoining Pheasant Inn was outstanding. Peter was fab dealing with any issues and great communication throughout. We appreciated the breakfast goodies of milk, juice, tea , coffee and cereals . Some noise from the pub in the evening but that was expected and certainly didn’t affect our enjoyment of staying!
