Our beautiful houseboat is only 12 min from Amsterdam centre by train & 5 min from the famous Zaanse Schans windmills! Use our boat to visit the local mills in the nature area, relax in the large sunny garden or on our spacious terrace boat! It's the ideal location to enjoy a relaxed holiday and also be close to all the famous attractions! A rowing boat and bikes are available (for free) so you can enjoy all the attractions in the area near the houseboat! We're looking forward to meeting you!

Dit ruime en knus ingerichte huis biedt plaats aan zes volwassenen en/of kinderen. Bijvoorbeeld een gezin met twee kinderen en opa en oma (die hun slaapkamer en eigen badkamer beneden hebben). Of een groep vriendinnen die een mooie locatie zoeken voor hun jaarlijkse bijklets-weekend.

Hand built during the windmill’s restoration, the cabin offers a peaceful and unique stay while still being close to Alkmaar and only 40 minutes from Amsterdam by train. I am a traditional Dutch miller born and raised in Alkmaar, and my American wife, Kelly, and I enjoy sharing this special place with guests from around the world.

Our apartment is located on the top floor in one of Alkmaar's most famous buildings. It is the ideal base for exploring the city and the region. Step outside into the picturesque streets and canals and take a walk in the city park around the corner. Discover the historical monuments or visit the cheese market, explore the many boutiques or cafes and restaurants nearby. On the ground floor is the hippest restaurant in Alkmaar with a sunny terrace on the water.

Vanuit deze ideaal gelegen accommodatie kun je allerlei activiteiten ondernemen, zoals varen, suppen, fietsen, zwemmen, wandelen, kanoën etc. Het boothuis ligt zeer centraal gelegen en de gezellige boulevard met zijn terrasjes en binnenstad van Harderwijk zijn op loopafstand. Ook het stadstrand is zeer dichtbij. In de woning aanwezig o.a. volledig uitgeruste keuken, tv, wifi, airco, bluetooth in de badkamer etc. Kortom, heerlijk genieten aan het water!

Where you will also find the best local bars and restaurants. It’s close to several boutiques, restaurants and cafes can be found in the immediate vicinity.
