Cabin is ideal for guests who are looking for peace and quiet and distance from the hustle and bustle of the city and the light pollution, but are within driving distance of many of the places to visit. Cabin is located about 45min drive from Rovaniemi. The cabin gives guests a peek into local lifestyle and offers authentic cabin experience

Lapland cabin by a lake

This small, traditional, Lappish log cabin is located right at lake Norvajärvi , only some steps to the water (or ice in winter). Enjoy the lake view and forest around you, immerse to the nature and its sounds and smells, marvel the northern lights and cosy up by the open fire. Cabin has electricity but no running water. We bring drinking water in containers and washing water to sauna is taken from the sweet water lake. We are 20km from Rovaniemi city, apprx 30min drive -with no street lights.

Vihdin Kesärannassa viihdyt varmasti! Alle tunti Helsingistä, tie perille. Talvella 2 hengelle, kesällä 4. Päämökki (45 m2) käytössä ympäri vuoden. Vierasmaja (12 m2) kesäkäytössä vuodesohvalla. Päämökki on rannassa kiinni, omalta laiturilta uimaan Hiidenveteen. Mökin lähellä Varikkaan uimaranta. Mökin varustelu: kylpyhuoneessa polttava wc ja pyykinpesukone. Saunassa nopea puukiuas, ja mökissä juokseva lämmin vesi. Keittiössä mm. uuni, induktioliesi ja tiskikone. Ilmalämpöpumppu viilennyksellä.

Between fishes – our house on the lake in Finland

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

There is a central heating and an additional fireplace, indoor toilet, shower and sauna. Drinking water from tap. During summer you can relax on hammock or by the outdoor fireplace. Iso terassi, kesäkeittiö, ulkosauna, palju (sop mukaan), useita nuotiopaikkoja, kaasuliesi, kaasugrilli, jääkaappi sekä jenkkikaappi pienellä pakastinlokerolla. Tilaa 6 hengen porukalle. Käytössä soutuvene sähkömoottorilla. Juokseva vesi järvestä. (Mökiltä löytyy juomavettä kanisterissa.) Saunalla sähkökäyttöiset matkasuihkut. Kalainen järvi ja pienriistan metsästys (sop mukaan) mahdollista. Pitkäaikaisille vieraille vaatehuolto järjestyy.

Aamukahvin voi nauttia isolla terassilla tai rantakivillä järven äärellä, ja illalla auringonlaskua seurata saunalta. Täällä ei tarvitse suorittaa mitään. Riittää, että hidastaa hetkeksi ja nauttii luonnosta, hiljaisuudesta ja yksinkertaisesta mökkielämästä.
