We chose this place because it was close by and it is Winter. We had a big snow storm the day of our arrival. Fortunately we only had a 20 min drive and yet it felt like we were in the woods. Robert greeted us and showed us around his lovely home. It was a place where the whole family could spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day together. All eight of us declared it was the best family Christmas we had in a long time. The beauty could be seen from every window. We were provided with everything we needed to have meals together and to play games and the young adults loved the hot tub. Robert had a beautiful Christmas tree set up and there was lots of little cozy spots to have one on one chats with each other. We realized after meeting Robert that he would be so cool to hang out with but he had other family plans. We are seriously considering making it a new Christmas Tradition.

We were celebrating a 50th birthday with a spa day nearby. The 4 bedrooms was a dream! The house had all we needed and then some. The host was amazing from beginning to end. Responsive. Proactive. Friendly. We spent 2 stormy nights and we're cozy the whole time. Thanks for the great weekend.

We had a great 5 day stay with family of 3 generations. We loved the nooks & cranny’s of an old house. The bedrooms were large & spacious. It was only a 5-7 minute drive to 2 beaches, where we spent a lot of time with a 5 & 9 year old. There were lots of interesting shops within a 15 drive. It was quite warm when we were there & when we reached out to Cris, he provided a couple more fans for us. Great stay.

Probably out favorite AirBnB to date. We needed a bigger place than usual for the whole family - and this perfectly fit the bill. Huge, great kitchen, very comfortable, and very clean. Everything was A1. It only took us 24 minutes on average to get from here to Centennial Pool for our swim meet - totally worth the short drive to have a place that comfortably accommodated everyone. Would definitely stay here again if we need a similar size location in Halifax again.

We loved our stay! The apartment was very cute, clean, and comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Emma was a fantastic host and responded very quickly to any questions we had. We also really liked the location—close to everything we needed, but still quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again!

Very cozy place! It was right by the water with a beautiful view. Very convenient as well. We were about a 30 minutes drive from Downtown Halifax. Ashley was very responsive and helpful. Beautiful place and amazing host! I'd stay there again. :)

Our family had a fantastic Christmas at Deanna’s. It looks exactly as advertised, and is just really comfortable. Deanna was very helpful and timely in responding to questions, prior to, and during our stay. She was very flexible and accommodating to meet our timing needs. Awesome location and view. The accommodation is great, well taken care of and great for a family stay. Will definitely stay here again if back in the area.

Jim’s place was close to family we were visiting in Nova Scotia. It was the perfect home away from home - quiet and cozy. Jim was a great communicator- letting us know exactly what to expect. We had a large travel van with kayaks on top. Jim’s place accommodated this perfectly. We would for sure make this property home base again next time we are in the area!

Our stay at this Airbnb was absolutely wonderful! The views were stunning, and we especially loved relaxing by the fire pit. Matthew and Susan were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond, offering to drive us to Peggy’s Cove when they noticed we hadn’t rented a car. Their kindness made our trip even more special. A superb experience from start to finish, we will definitely be visiting again!

Great location for our stay. Apartment was clean and spacious with most comfortable beds. Jin was easy to contact and responded to requests quickly. The lake was a bonus with dock for swimming and plenty of outside seating. We would definitely recommend for an enjoyable stay in Dartmouth!

We stayed for a week at Treena’s place in Lakeview while visiting relatives in nearby Bedford, NS. We found the accommodations very nicely furnished, clean, modern, and well-equipped. The kitchen is small but functional and has most equipment one would need. The situation is very private and quiet, and we were able to use the wood stove, firepit, and gas grill. We found enough supplies like coffee pods, paper products, and dishwasher detergent to easily get us through the week. There are some lovely walking trails in the area, which feels more remote than it really is, but keep in mind that a car is necessary to get around. We would definitely stay again next time we Visit Nova Scotia.

Thank you for being such lovely hosts! We immediately felt right at home. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful and quiet. It was a wonderful place to wake up to the snow. Thoughtful amenities, lots of space, comfortable places to eat, drink, read and watch Christmas movies. We didn't want to leave. So much generosity was extended to us due to the storm, and I look forward to returning! We very much were well taken care of.

We drove in from PEI not having been to the area. I’m so glad we took the chance! The pictures do not reflect the absolute beauty of the accommodation and surrounding landscape. The view from our bedroom window was amazing!!! We found Rachael to be the hostess with the mostest :) so very kindhearted! Everything we needed and more with helpful guidance prepared for us. The cleanliness was so refreshing!! Don’t hesitate, nothing to fear! Book it!

The perfect getaway for our 28th wedding anniversary. Two separate outdoor patios with beautiful views to choose from while enjoying a glass of wine. All the amenities of home. Can’t wait to book again when we can swim and canoe.

We Had a family reunion “staycation”!! This Was a perfect spot. Open space for the play pen and baby toys! Beautiful view & yard. We brought our own groceries and stayed in. The kitchen was very workable and had all the kitchen tools we could have needed. The wood stove was such a relaxing mood setter. The outdoor hot tub was lovely! (2 ppl) The deck was perfect for enjoying the outdoors with babies! Host had loads of little fine touches. Washer & dryer worked great! Parking was good, right next to the door and no stairs needed. Felt right at home and very comfortable! This is a perfect location of longer stays!

Mark's place was lovely! I and a group of 7 adults came here for a getaway. The pellet stove was super nice and easy to use and the hot tub was just as relaxing. Overall we didn't have any issue with the hot tub only fitting 6 as usually we didn't all want to use it at once anyways. Some of us found that the beds were even more comfortable than our beds back home and the place felt well put together. Surroundings were beautiful, peaceful and private with lots of outdoor seating. We also made use of the outdoor games that were available! The kitchen had everything we needed.Mark was also a fantastic host and responded to us within 10 minutes when we had any questions. Overall would definitely return!

Very cozy, we walked around the lake, gorgeous. Everything we needed was there. Derek was very responsive to messages. Bed was comfy and we figured out the tv, which was the only thing I was worried about.

We absolutely loved our weekend getaway at the cottage. The place was spotlessly clean and cozy and had all the amenities you could possibly need. The place is very private and we got to enjoy the kayaks and a lovely bonfire under the stars. The hosts are very accommodating, friendly and responsive. This is one of the nicest AirBnBs I have stayed at and we are already planning to come again next summer. Highly recommended!

Everything was wonderful at this cottage and guest house that accommodates 8 people! Despite the rain on the weekend we selected, we had a beautiful family getaway. Alex and family have a beautiful spot on a quiet lake. The cottage is open and fresh! They provide a fire pit with wood, games, toys, canoes, etc. but all we really needed was the space to gather and the gorgeous lake view and access. Alex provided excellent instructions and was very friendly and accommodating. We are truly grateful to have been able to enjoy such a lovely place!

Absolutely amazing place and attentive hosts! Since booking my stay the hosts were proactive in letting me know things to do and also quick to respond to all my questions. This was the only Airbnb I have stayed at that had a freshly baked pie waiting for me in the kitchen when I arrived and breakfast was included for my stay. The grand piano in the cottage was freshly tuned and sounded incredible, the hosts even invited me out for a few beers and a musical jam sesh! The surroundings are gorgeous and the amenities were freely available such as kayak, life jacket, fishing gear and all the wood I could want to light a fire. The bathroom was clean and had all necessary toiletries. Thank you Peter and Hendrix for a great stay!
